The NPIN by the Numbers document provides statistics about the National Prevention Information Network and its websites from April 2012. It summarizes that the cdcnpin.org and hivtest.org websites had millions of visitors and page views. The NPIN databases contained information for over 10,000 organizations providing HIV, STD, TB, and viral hepatitis testing and services. Social media engagement saw increases in members, followers, and impressions discussing HIV prevention.

Guidance for Industry Electronic Source Data in Clinical InvestigationsCRF Health
This guidance provides recommendations to sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), clinical investigators, and others involved in the capture, review, and retention of electronic source data in FDA-regulated clinical investigations.2 In an effort to streamline and modernize clinical investigations this guidance promotes capturing source data in electronic form, and it is intended to assist in ensuring the reliability, quality, integrity, and traceability of data from electronic source to electronic regulatory submission.

. You will select a topic relevant to your practice area, research the topic, and write a scholarly paper.
. From the chapter readings and discussion, formulate a 3–5 page scholarly paper in APA format, providing an overview of the terms and function of EPB. An introduction, discussion and conclusion is expected in the overview on this topic
. Identified three evidence-based references to formulate a valid clinical question for the PICOT project.
. Concisely defined the clinical question, summarized evidence for the PICOT, and identified relevant databases.
. Paper was 3-5 pages, not including references page.
Assignment Topic and Short Summary
I currently work in a Neuro ICU unit and we are constantly looking for ways to decrease length of stay of patients and infection occurrences and improve patient overall satisfaction. An issue that has come to our attention in the last months was the consistent use of Foley catheters and its relationship to the frequency of catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). We have now implemented various guidelines including a nurse driven protocol that requires daily review of catheter necessity. The question that still remains using the PICOT method as described in our text is: P-In ICU patients, I-how effective is it to remove Foley catheters within 24-72 hours in preventing infection, C- versus intermittent catheterization in O-decreasing the incidence of infection T-within 90 days?
I searched through Cochrane library using key words such as UTI, CAUTI, and perineal care and found numerous EB articles.

ICMP Timestamp Request Remote Date Disclosure
Synopsis:
It is possible to determine the exact time set on the remote host.
Description:
The remote host answers to an ICMP timestamp request. This allows an attacker to know the date
which is set on your machine. This may help him to defeat all your time based authentication protocols.
Risk factor:
None
Solution
:
Filter out the ICMP timestamp requests (13), and the outgoing ICMP timestamp replies (14).
Plugin output:
This host returns non-standard timestamps (high bit is set)
Plugin ID:
10114

Presentation in the "Whole genome sequencing for clinical microbiology:Translation into routine applications" Symposium , Basel , Switzerland, 2 Sep 2017
There are an estimated 33.3 million people living with HIV (the virus which causes AIDS) worldwide and approximately 2.6 million people are newly-infected each year. While the Asian and African regions account for more than 90% of the HIV-infected population (with the highest number in Sub-Saharan Africa), the U.S. and European regions make up greater than 60% of the HIV testing market. This TriMark Publications report provides a comprehensive examination of the HIV/AIDS testing market, a specific segment of the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) market as it relates to infectious diseases. It examines the available and emerging technologies being utilized by the HIV testing field, defines the dollar volume of sales'both in the U.S. and worldwide'and analyzes the factors that influence the size and growth of the market. The chief HIV testing assays, i.e., predictive, screening, prognostic, monitoring, pharmacogenomic and theranostic, are covered thoroughly, as are high-growth applications in different clinical diagnostic areas and expanding markets, such as employee screening, emergency medicine and satellite clinic testing. Additionally, this analysis covers the following areas in details: enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), antibody/p24 antigen test (fourth-generation test), Western blot assay, line immunoassays, indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) assay, nucleic acid tests for infectious diseases, and the emerging technologies related to HIV and AIDS diagnosis. Moreover, this study also provides a thorough analysis of the companies known to be marketing, manufacturing or developing HIV testing products, as well as provides detailed tables and figures covering HIV testing markets around the globe.

As mandated in the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002, CDC's BioSense Program was launched in 2003 to establish an integrated national public health surveillance system for early detection and rapid assessment of potential bioterrorism-related illness: http://www.cdc.gov/biosense. Currently, the BioSense Program is undergoing redesign effort: http://biosenseredesign.org. The goal of the redesign is to be able to provide nationwide and regional situational awareness for all hazards health-related events (beyond bioterrorism) and to support national, state, and local responses to those events.
