  3. Many scripts developed before my arrival.
  4. MO Medicaid requires claims that cross month end to be split to separate forms. So they must be held to give a biller time to complete this process. When a Medicare patient goes from Observation to IP status, Cerner automatically adds room charges back to the first date. We also hold these accounts so an individual can change the IP status to the date the order was written.
  5. Tasks identified with distinct number/naming conventions and emailed when errors or the script completes. Between departments this is about 15% savings of FTEs

Owner: Teri the scripting reduces time to complete tasks – Boston scripts are able to enter data much more quickly than an individual increases quality – data presented is replicated exactly into Star which in turn reduces defects (incorrect charges, claims going out without necessary review These all equate to improving patient centric revenue cycle.
