A 10-year-old female patient presented with a pigmented lesion on her right nipple that had appeared 3 months prior. Examination of the lesion revealed it was not clearly defined and had a slight papillomatous surface. No other lesions were seen on the areola. Differential diagnoses included nevoid hyperkeratosis of the nipple and areola or a melanocytic lesion. A biopsy was proposed but the parents did not consent. Dermoscopy may be useful in aiding diagnosis in this case.
