2. INTRODUCTION
 Neurodevelopmental disorders are impairments of
the growth and development of the brain
or central nervous system.
 The term is sometimes erroneously used as an
exclusive synonym for autism spectrum disorders.
 The term refers to a disorder of brain function that
affects emotion, learning ability, self-
control and memory and that unfolds as the
individual grows.

6. DEFINITIONS

disorder characterized by abnormal social
behavior and failure to understand what is
real.

arousal, affect, and energy level, or "a state of
heightened overall activation with enhanced
affective expression together with liability of affect”
