Neolithic people began domesticating animals and farming crops instead of hunting and gathering, allowing them to settle permanently in villages. Farming was revolutionary as it provided a steady food supply, enabling populations and communities to grow. Larger settlements led to more specialized jobs and trades developing, as well as advances like bronze toolmaking, as people had more time beyond just obtaining food.

Growth of Villages:
 People who farmed could settle in one place
 They began to live in villages and build permanent homes
Benefits of Settled Life:
 Settled life brought security
 They had a steady food supply
 Because of the food, they had a healthy, growing population
 Bigger population meant more workers
 More workers meant a larger crop (more food)
 Larger crops led to trade inside and outside the community
 There was more time so specialized jobs developed
