Nature Nurture Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Nature vs. Nurture" can be a challenging endeavor, as it
involves delving into the complex interplay between inherent genetic factors and external
environmental influences in shaping human traits and behaviors. The intricacies of this debate
have intrigued scholars, psychologists, and scientists for decades, making it a rich but
challenging subject to explore.
One of the primary difficulties lies in navigating the vast body of research and conflicting
theories surrounding the nature-nurture dichotomy. The extensive literature encompasses studies
in genetics, psychology, sociology, and other disciplines, creating a landscape that demands
careful synthesis and interpretation. Juggling between the contrasting perspectives of proponents
of genetic determinism and those advocating for the significance of environmental factors adds
an extra layer of intricacy.
Moreover, the evolving nature of scientific discoveries and the continuous development of new
methodologies pose a challenge in maintaining the currency and relevance of the information
presented. As the field advances, staying abreast of the latest findings becomes crucial to
providing a well-rounded and informed analysis.
Balancing the discussion between nature and nurture without oversimplifying or neglecting the
nuances is another hurdle. Striking a harmonious equilibrium in acknowledging the intertwined
roles of genetics and environment requires a nuanced approach, avoiding reductionist viewpoints
that fail to capture the complexity of human development.
Additionally, addressing the ethical dimensions of the nature-nurture debate adds a layer of
sensitivity to the writing process. The implications of different stances on issues such as personal
responsibility, free will, and societal expectations necessitate thoughtful consideration and
careful articulation.
In conclusion, navigating the challenges of writing an essay on the "Nature vs. Nurture" debate
demands a thorough understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the topic, a critical analysis
of diverse perspectives, and the ability to synthesize complex information into a coherent and
engaging narrative. While challenging, the exploration of this perennial debate provides an
intellectually stimulating journey into the heart of what shapes human identity and behavior.

Compare And Contrast The Death Of Marat And

In these two exquisite works of art or shall we call them the grand master pieces of
their era s. Both Jacques Louis David s The Death of Marat and Michelangelo s
Pieta flawlessly reflects the untimely deaths of two significant figures that we know
of today. The two figures comprised of Jesus Christ in Michelangelo s Pieta and Jean
Paul Maratin Jacques Louis David s The Death of Marat. In the two pieces we see
that the pair of artists portray the figures in a divine and yet virtuous way. One work
of art almost mimicking the other, yet there is still some differences between the
characteristics of each piece still making it its own individual self. In the following

Not only did David want to do this but his artistic viewpoints wanted him to reflect
the use of propaganda to others through art in the Neoclassical era. In other words, he
wanted to depict through the painting how politics during the French Revolution
were taken sternly and had serious repercussions in a sort of misleading way. In
the same way, if you did not fit into the rest of society and you stood out you were
labeled as a target. As we see Marat was murdered by Corday who was seen as his
political enemy. In the meantime, through the style of David s painting we see the
use of iconography or the study or description of images and symbols . Here in this
painting of The Death of Marat we see the main image (i.e. Marat) being used as
more than just the centerpiece of the work rather, the symbol of the work which
means there is more to this work than just The Death of Marat. Strangely enough,
we can see the use of iconography when comparing The Death of Marat to an
almost political Christ of his people. Meaning that Marat was killed for his
religious beliefs/political beliefs and died for his people as that of Christ did with
his religious beliefs. Incidentally, we can say that David s clear sympathies for
Marat and his transformation of the politician into a timeless martyr or someone
who sacrifices their life for not believing in Marat s case the political beliefs of the

Chihiro s Response To Sociology
Perhaps the most obvious example of change as a positive influence in the film
can be observed in Chihiro s maturation. Prior to entering the spirit realm, Chihiro
behaves as a typical, stubborn child unwilling to accept change; this can be
observed in the way she responds to seeing her new school as she and her parents
drive into town: sticking out her tongue as she says, It s gonna stink. I liked my
old school. During the same scene, Chihiro s responses to her parents even slightly
suggest that she is a bit spoiled as she complains how depressing it is that this is the
first time she has gotten a bouquet of flowers and it s a goodbye present. When her
mother reminds her that her father had gotten a rose for her birthday before, Chihiro

Sam Walton graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a degree
in economics in 1940 (Biography.com Editors, n.d.). He entered the retail business in
1944 in Newport, Arkansas as the owner of a franchise store called Ben Franklin

Bentonville, Arkansasand renamed it Walton s Five and Dime. By 1962, Walton s
innovational management style empowered him to open a second store just seven
miles down the road in Rogers, Arkansas. Before the year was out, Walton owned
eleven stores locally. He was driven by his vision of a discount retail store in rural

Supply Chain Management Of Supply Chains
Introduction
With the acceleration of global economic integration, the 21st century has become the
century of competition in the supply chain, not just a simple competition between
enterprises. In order to win the competition in the supply chain, which means it must
be through the management of the supply chain. Currently supply chains become
more integrated, more global, the high speed development of information technology
has become an important driving force. In this report will explore the development of
supply chain management technologies and important role.
Supply chain and technologies role
Supply chain is the logistic network among suppliers, manufacturing centers,
warehouses, distribution centers, retail and customers. It is about the flow and
inventory of raw materials, manufactured goods and fished goods. The core logistics
supply chain management is to satisfy customer needs. In order to meet requirements
it is necessary to minimize enterprises operating cost. It can make enterprises more
competitive, and is the key point of success supply chain management. However due
to the supply chain simultaneously connect suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and
even customers, is a complex network, each link have hidden many risks, is easily
affect the supply chain companies. Therefore, the use of the necessary control
measures to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain become preconditions to
earn profit.
In order to achieve a success supply chain must to be
John Thomas s The Gospel
In John s Gospel, as in the Synoptists, this phrase is used only by Christ in a
speaking of Himself; and elsewhere only in Acts 7: 56, where the name is applied to
Him by Stephen. It occurs less frequently in John than in the Synoptists, being found
in Matthew thirty times, in Mark thirteen, and in John twelve. Jesususe of the term
here is explained in two ways.
1.That He borrows the title from the Old Testament to designate Himself either (a)
as a Prophet, as in Ezekiel 2: 13; 3:1, etc.; or (b) as the Messiah, as prefigured in
Daniel 7:13. This prophecy of Daniel had obtained such wide currency that the
Messiah was called Anani, or the man of the clouds.
a.This is untenable, because in Ezekiel, as everywhere in the Old Testament, the
phrase Son of man, or Sons of men, is used to describe man under his human
limitations, as weak, fallible, and incompetent by himself to be divine agent.
b.The allusion to Daniel s prophecy is admitted; but Jesus does not mean to say, I
am the Messiah who is prefigured by Daniel. A political meaning attached in popular
conception to the term Messiah; and it is noticeable throughout John s Gospel that
Jesus carefully avoids using that term before the people, but expresses the thing itself
by circumlocution, in order to avoid the complication which the popular
understanding would have introduced into his work. We can see on (John 7: 24, 25
and John 10: 24, 25).
Moreover, the phrase Son of man was not generally applied to the Messiah.
Social Isolation And Social Capital
Social Isolation and Social Capital The surprising finding of Rankin and Quane does
to an extent show the limits of Putnam s previous research on social isolation because
it does not take into consideration economics and race. Social isolation refers to the
lack of contact or of sustained interaction with individuals and institutions that
represent mainstream society (Wilson qtd Rankin Quane 4). Although, Rankin and
Quane s findings show high levels of engagement among people in poorer
neighborhoods, the findings are not significant enough to change the notion that
social capital is eroding. Putnam refers to social capital as a feature of social
organization such as networks, norms, and social trust that facilitates coordination for
mutual benefit (9). This means that the lack of involvement in the community
decreases social capital and increases social isolation amongst Americans. In this
essay, I will talk about the connections between social isolation, social capital, and
social connection. Social connectedness can be viewed as interaction people have
between their neighbors and their overall surrounding. Some of the examples we will
be looking into is the effect mothers have on social capital, the loss of trust amongst
Americans, lack of network communication, effects that trust, reciprocation, and
obligation have on social isolation and social capital. Social isolation plays a big role
in social capital, social connection, economic status, and race.

Special Forces soldiers work in foreign lands with situations which are not always
completely clear from its beginning. The Special Operation Imperatives serve as the
base for success by providing the framework to develop and assist the host nation in
achieving their desired goals. Through this essay I will use the novel The Ugly
American(William J. Lederer Eugene Burdick) to provide context to the benefits of
applying such imperatives and the consequences of improper application. I will bring
to light the actions of the characters and depict the reasons why the application of the
imperative made the character succeed or fail in his desired goal.
The first character that I will discuss is Honorable Louis Sears, American

He informed the prince that he personally did not care about the resemblance to him
in the picture, but proclaiming that it hurt relations between the two countries. The
prince, aware of Sears shallowness, directed a positive article to be published in order
to relieve tensions.
A third failure in understanding the operational environment occurred when Sears
coordinated the delivery of rice from Haidho to the stricken area in Sarkhan. His
lack of understanding of the Sarkhanese and communist tactics was reciprocated by
his subordinates. The latter became evident when the rice bags were labeled as if
coming from the communists and no USIS employee realized what it meant. In
addition, there was no effort from US employees to talk or interact with locals at the
destination. The confusion led the Sarkhanese to believe that the rice bags in fact
were provided by the communists.
A good description of Sears failure in understanding the operational environment was
provided by Ambassador Louis Krupitzyn on his report to Moscow. Krupitzyn wrote
how Sears kept his subordinates away from the Sarkhanese and didn t allow them to
go into the hills. This disconnect between the American employees and the
Sarkhanese provided Moscow with the ability to freely connect with the population
and turn the table

Many Americans watching the Government response to Hurricanes Rita and Katrina
as it play out in the media could not believe the finger pointing that was going on
between our elected leaders as many victims struggled to get their life in order. With
the National Response Framework initial responsibility remains with the local elected
officials and each level of the government above that will monitor and remain ready
with assistance if requested. This will allow needed resources to get where they are
needed without the internal bickering of the past. The Emergency Support Function
Annexes within the National Response Framework ensures multi agency
interoperability and encompasses the other components of the NRF.
Red Cross Entering Scene of Destruction
The Red Cross has been chartered by Congress to help people prepare for, prevent,
and respond to emergencies and provide relief for survivors of disasters (NRF,
2008). As a Red Cross volunteer you should ensure you are not working against the
situation. Although you are going there to assist those effected by the disaster you
will need to make sure you do not become a distraction or even worse needing to be
assisted yourself. Working within the system with the Incident Commander and his
staff will ensure you are part of the team and not working against these efforts.

Essay On Tornado Forecasting
In 2011, there was a total of 1,691 tornadoes reported across the country; making
2011 an unusual active and deadly year for tornadoes across the U.S. Based on
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 2011 tornado statistics
broke the record for greatest number of tornadoes in a single month in April 2011
with a total number of 758 tornadoes and the greatest daily total of 200. The
outbreak of the tornadoes caused 360 people to be killed during the entire month of
April 2011.
Even though the tornado forecast method has been significantly improved, it did not
stop the incredible outbreaks of tornadoes that happened. In May 2011, it was U.S
history worst tornado outbreaks in six decades that claimed more than 500 lives and
was responsible for $10.8 billion in total damage. Due to an unbalance in the ... Show

Meteorologists often rely on massive computers program called numerical weather
prediction models to help them decide if the condition will be right for the
development of tornadoes. The computer forecast models are designed to calculate
the atmosphere at a certain point over a large area, from Earth s surface to the top of
the atmosphere. This weather data forecast by the numerical computer program will
give meteorologist a lead time that can be announced to the affected neighborhood.
The length of time between issuing a forecast and the actual event occurring, due to
the prediction of that event occurring is the lead time. Such forecast may predict the
timing of a squall line while also taking account into changes in the environmental
conditions with which the storm may interact. However, there is a different range of
forecasts such as short range forecasts, medium range forecasts, extended range
forecast, and monthly and longer range forecast that predicts different lead time
ranging from approximately twelve hours to two
Disadvantages And Disadvantages Of Social Networks
Introduction
A social network is a social structure made up of individuals that are tied together by
friendship, kinship, common interest, sexual relationship, knowledge or prestige.
Generally, teens use social network to communicate and stay in touch with their
friends or make new friends. Teens also use social networks to make social plans
with friends and maybe to flirt. Teenagers love to express themselves.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) has a number
of features. First of all, every disorder is identified using a name and a numerical
code. In addition, the manual provides the criteria for diagnosing each disorder as
well as establishes subtypes of a disorder and examples that would illustrate the
disorder. The manual goes further by addressing the typical age of onset, culturally
related information, gender related information, prevalence of a disorder, typical
clinical course of a disorder, typical predisposing factors of a disorder and genetic
family patterns of a disease (Summers, 2009). The DSM IV is a tool that is used by
mental health practitioners and social service workers. As has been demonstrated...

Personality disorders have a sex prevalence rate and there has been some suggestion
that those rates reflect gender bias. The bias concerns derived from the
conceptualization of personality disorders, the wording of diagnostic criteria, the
application of diagnostic criteria, thresholds for diagnosis, clinical presentation,
researching sampling, the self awareness and openness of patients and the items
included within self report inventories (Butcher, 2009, p. 356). Studies have failed to
prove that there is significant gender bias in the DSM. However, research has
showed there is gender bias within clinical judgments. For example, gender related
items would be included within self report inventories (Butcher, 2009). Clinicians
tend to judge female patients as being mentally ill more readily than male patients,
even when the symptoms are the same. Moreover, women are more likely to be cast
as overly emotional, have a need for mood altering medication and require ongoing
monitoring/treatment (Zur and Nordmarken, 2010).
Sexual orientation has also caused considerable bias. Homosexuality was listed in the
DSM as a mental disorder up until 1974. Even law had identified homosexual
behavior as criminal; for instance, sodomy laws. Although homosexuality is no
longer listed in the DSM, therapists still have the option of considering homosexual
behavior as a sexual disorder not otherwise specified. The ability to still classify
homosexuality as a

Karen Thompson Walker, an aspiring fiction writer and novelist, delivered an
imaginative Ted Talk titled What Fear Can Teach Us. She explored the connection
between fear and imagination through storytelling. In this critique I will analyze
Walker s content, delivery, and conclusion of her speech. Karen Thompson Walker
based the idea of her story on comparing fearand storytelling. She wanted to reach
out to adults on how we feel about fear and how we can perceive fear to be an
amazing feeling. Walker opened her speech with an effective introduction. She

She made it easy to recognize that she was coming to the end of her speech by

the end of her speech than when she stated them at the beginning. The main point
of Walker s speech was that we should look at our fears as books then we could be
our own authors. After I listened to her her conclusion I felt that it made her point
and her conclusion more precise. In conclusion, I think that Karen Thompson Walker
did a great job with her speech. She did well with the content, delivery, and
conclusion of her speech. She did have some areas that I would recommend slight
improvement. Karen opened her speech with a short story that grabbed her audience s
attention from the beginning to the end. She made me want to listen a wonder what
would happen next. I think that she added a bit more excitement to her voice and
came from behind the podium when ending her speech. Given these points even
though Karen Thompson Walker could use some improvement, but we all need
improvement to become better public

I could use the juice form smashing up raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and
blackberries to create natural paint. I purchased all the berries but I still needed
something to create my text on. I was looking for a piece of fruit big enough to
display my text when I discovered the honeydew melon. The surface of the melon
was hard and smooth which would operate as a perfect canvas for my fruit paint.
The only part of my creation that would not be completely natural would be the
paintbrush, I would have to use this tool since my finger or a stick wouldn t work.
After I smashed up all the fruit, I used a paintbrush and dabbed it into the juice then
wrote what was supposed to be an A on the surface of the honeydew melon. Once
again, I reached another failure. The juice form the smashed up fruit barely showed
up on the melon, even though the melon was light in color, the juice wasn t thick and
dark enough to be legible. After two failures my motivation and enthusiasm was
depleting. I was becoming frustrated and annoyed with the assignment and all the
ideas I had up until this point.
My third attempt turned out to be successful but was more restrictive than I thought
it would be. After racking my brain trying to develop creative ideas I realized I
needed to focus on completing the assignment, meeting the requirements, and
keeping the already complicated task as simple as possible. A new element I hadn t

Reasons For Banning Pit Bulls
Why I think Pit Bulls should not be banned Hi, I m Aarav and today I will be
talking about why I strongly believe Pit Bulls should not be banned and here are
my reasons why. My first reason is People say Pit bulls were bred to kill, but that s
the owner s fault because their behavior is because of how the owner trained them
and treated them and I will list a few reasons to justify my answer. Firstly I will
show some facts. According to the Position Statement on Pit Bulls | ASPCA The
reality is that dogs of many breeds can be selectively bred or trained to develop
aggressive traits. And the simple fact is that dogs of any breed can become dangerous
when they re intentionally or unintentionally raised to be aggressive. All dogs,

The Parable Of The Sower By Octavia Butler
The Parable of the Sower, written by Octavia Butler, is considered a science fiction
novel, classified as dystopian. This novel depicts a post apocalyptic world where the
United States has fallen into tremendous poverty. Crime, such as murder, rape, and
theft, run rampant to the point where no one is considered safe. The society in this
novelis completely destroyed. The foundation has crumbled socially, politically, and
economically. The citizens are left to fend for themselves in, what is now, a
ruthless nation with just a hint of civilized communities. Our sensible and above all,
brave protagonist, Lauren Olamina, is the heart of the story. She is one of the few
characters who can be identified through several viewpoints. Lauren s persona,
beliefs, as well as her actions allow her to be classified through four different lenses
such as classism, deism, fundamentalism, and, more accurately, humanism.
Classism is a prejudice where stereotypes, intolerance, and judgments are placed
upon people due to their rank in a class system. When you think about it, classism
is much like racism. However, instead of race being the issue, the socioeconomic
class is the primary target of abhorrence and bias. Lauren, being our protagonist and
heroine, is very much capable of exemplifying the ideology of classism. In the
beginning of the novel we are introduced to Lauren as a teenager who is growing up
in a gated, or walled, community outside of Los Angeles. Her community is literally
Four Skinny Trees Metaphors
Picture a football team late in the season. It s week 9, and the team s record is 3 6.
There is no chance of the playoffs in sight and there is only one more game against

Sandra Cisneros shows great use of metaphor in the vignette Four Skinny Trees,

Cervantes
Cervantes greatest work, Don Quixote, is a unique book of
multiple dimensions. From the moment of its appearance it
has amused readers or caused them to think, and its
influence has extended in literature not only to works of
secondary value but also to those which have universal
importance. Don Quixote is a country gentleman, an
enthusiastic visionary crazed by his reading of romances of
chivalry, who rides forth to defend the oppressed and to
right wrongs; so vividly was he presented by Cervantes that
many languages have borrowed the name of the hero as the
common term to designate a person inspired by lofty and
impractical ideals.
The theme of the book, in brief, concerns Hidalgo Alonso
Quijano, who, because of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

morality thus become intermingled with the psychological
and aesthetic experience of each individual reader in a way
that vastly stimulated the development of the literary genre
later known as the novel, and Fielding, Dickens, Flaubert,
Stendhal, Dostoyevsky, and many others have thus been
inspired by Cervantes. In Madame Bovary, is Gustave
Flaubert, for example, the heroine changes the orientation
of her life because she, like Don Quixote, has read her
romances of chivalry, the romantic novels of the nineteenth
century.
Cervantes demonstrated to the Western world how poetry
and fantasy could coexist with the experience of reality
which is perceptible to the senses. He did this by
presenting poetic reality, which previously had been
confined to the ideal region of dream, as something
experienced by a real person, and the dream thus became
the reality of any man living his dream. Therefore, the
trivial fact that a poor hidalgo loses his reason for one cause
or another is of little importance. The innovation is that
Don Quixote s madness is converted into the theme of his
life and into a theme for the life of other people, who are
affected as much by the madness of the hidalgo as is he
himself. Some want him to revert to his condition of a
peaceful and sedentary hidalgo; others would like him to
keep on amusing or stupefying people with his deeds,
Brooklyn Family Tale Sociology
A Brooklyn Family Tale was filmed in focus of the relationship between juvenile
crime/mishaps and poverty in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The filmmakers followed the
progress of the Santiago family s lives as a reflection of how living in poor, urban
areas can influence one s thinking and perspective of life. The entirety of the Santiago
familyalmost fell apart due to gang association, drugs, alcohol, miscommunication
with each other, and the belief that things would not get better for them. Being the
rough neighborhood that it is, Sunset Park greatly impacted the Santiago family,
which is heavily seen through Luis and Elena. However, Sunset Park has had
varying effects on each member of the Santiago family, mostly due to their
consciousness and awareness of their surroundings. With the aid of counseling from
the Center of Family Life, Luis and his family were able to grow and experience
differences in through their morals, values and beliefs, and quality of life.
Like Sister Geraldine Tobia said, people living in stressful environments such as
Sunset Park begin to feel that the negative feelings about themselves are the reality of

How people choose to respond to their current problems and environment is both a
product of their conscious decisions and the outside forces of others. If someone

The International Telecommunication Union ( Itu ) Defines...
Today our society has evolved beyond the expectations of our founding fathers.
Humans flying through the air from destination to destination, being able to send
information almost instantaneously, to receiving high definition photos of the
furthest celestial bodies known in our solar system, our technology has literally and
figuratively rocketed the human race into the future. While our technology becomes
increasingly more advanced so does the ability to steal information from these
systems. Cyber Securityis one of the biggest threats our nation faces as we become
more dependent on the use of technology in our day to day lives.
What is Cyber Security? The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) defines
Cyber Security as Cybersecurity is the collection of tools, policies, security concepts,
security safeguards, guidelines, risk management approaches, actions, training, best
practices, assurance and technologies that can be used to protect the cyber
environment and organization and user s assets. Organization and user s assets
include connected computing devices, personnel, infrastructure, applications,
services, telecommunications systems, and the totality of transmitted and/or stored
information in the cyber environment. (ITU, 2008) Cyber attacks have become ever
prevalent in our society as the use of cell phones, emails, and computers become our
primary source of sending and receiving information. To fully understand Cyber

David Lockyer s War Limericks
War it isn t desired by anyone. If we can, we try to avoid it as much as possible. But
there are times when war can t be avoided. This fighting ultimately leads to thousands
of innocent lives lost men, women and children. We grieve their deaths, we mourn
their deaths and we feel saddened by their deaths. Poetrycan help alleviate this
saddened feeling. It can help us to feel happier in times of great depression and
stress. Some poems however strike the heart of warand the horrors related to it. The
poets can express their points of view on war, conscriptions or the propagandas in a
dark manner and create a gloomy atmosphere. One of these poems is part of David
Lockyer s War Limericks. As the title suggests, this poem is a limerick with sound
and visual language used to boost the poems meaning.
The theme of Lockyer s poem is the B 17, a bomber which flew for the United States
Army Air Corps in World War II. In this poem, Lockyer is trying to express his own
point of view ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the poem, Lockyer is expressing the success of the B 17 bomber in World War II.
The bomber was a relatively large airframe measuring in at a wingspan of 32 metres
and an overall length of 21 metres. Because of this, he compares the B 17 to a castle,
saying it was a castle in the air. He also calls the B 17 a flying fortress. This name
again gives us a visual image of just how large this bomber was.
Speaking of a flying fortress, this is one example of sound language that Lockyer
has used. It is a form of alliteration and helps to flow the poem. It helps to emphasise
the idea of the B 17 being a castle in the sky. Alliteration also adds to the rhythm of a
poem and in a limerick this is all the more important. Because this poem is a limerick,
it contains an AABBA rhyme and rhythm pattern. Rhyme and rhythm in a poem are
important because they provide the heartbeat of the poem to which it can flow

The word pancakes appears in print as early as 1430. Pancakes may have been

Romans as revealed in the cookbook by Apicius made dishes similar to modern

The exact origins of this honeycombed cake are unknown, but the story of its
evolution from a thin, crisp wafer to a thick, leavened cake, is a fascinating one. It is
hard to imagine the waffle without its iconic honeycombed surface, but in the
beginning it probably started as a simple, flat cake. The ancient Greeks cooked flat
cakes, called obelios, between hot metal plates. As they spread throughout medieval
Europe, the cakes made from a mixture of flour, water or milk, and sometimes eggs
became known as wafers and were also cooked over an open fire between iron plates
with long handles. At some point, perhaps in the 13th century, these began to be
stamped with various designs ranging from family crests and landscape scenes to the
characteristic grid pattern. The Dutch were particularly fond of waffles and colonists
introduced them to the New World in the early 17th century. (It was in the New
World that these cakes met their perfect companion, maple syrup.) By 1735, the word
gained an extra f, becoming waffle as we know it today. Thomas Jefferson is said

years later, New York s Cornelius Swarthout patented the first stovetop waffle iron.

Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay
Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals
sharing a given trait also should or do share other attributes assumed to be
associated with aspects such as race, religion, and physical attribute. While
stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also influence
the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these
flawed images, especially in regards to genderstereotypes. Shakespeare s great play
Othello uses its main characters to embody the characteristics of the stereotypical
females and males according to society s liking. The stereotypical woman is loyal and
faithful to her husband, while the male stereotype possesses strength, control, and

Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option
for Othello when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female
stereotypes. Without the ability to label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s
chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders Desdemona to redeem her
from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to alter views
that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively
comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to
comprehend truths unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles.
Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona and Othello to display how people
become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for them. Therefore,
both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally
as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented.
Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall,
flawed views among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction.
Othello and Desdemona best exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as
pure, compassionate, and understanding towards everyone, especially Othello.
Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about females is
valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same

A Clean Well Lighted Place By Ernest Hemingway
How has your understanding of the concept of belonging been shaped by the
representation of relationships and events that you have encountered in the texts you
have studied for the Area of Study: Belonging?
Belonging requires an individual to build a connection with another person or group
over time, these connections are often developed through shared experience and
understanding. Peter Skrzynecki s poems; Feliks Skrzynecki (1975) and Migrant
Hostel (1975) offer various perspectives and representations on this concept. Ernest

The Issue Of Utilitarianism On Immigration
The American Problem: The issue of utilitarianism on immigration Immigration has

administration have discussed its pros and cons. From a historical standpoint, the
administration have used different mechanisms to deal with immigration. These
mechanisms such as demonizing immigration are used to criminalize unauthorized

proper nutritional approach to eating as a vegetarian and a vegan, and analyzes the
benefits involved in this type of diet. While the article Considering a Vegetarian

many health related benefits that are improved by following a vegetarian diet.
Research on diets emphasizes the importance of consuming plant based food. Eating
a vegetarian diet is healthier and can prevent cancer, type two diabetes, and eliminate
heart disease. Recent studies suggest that cancer could be largely eliminated if one is
willing to shift their mindset from the fast food rich environment that surrounds
society today to a more traditional plant based diet. In the article Health Wise,
Liberatore uses evidence from the American Dietetic Association stating If [a

The Results of Raising the Dropout Age
Obtaining an education is essential in today s society. Most students who attend
school on a regular basis usually succeed in life. On the other hand, many students
fail to attend school every day which can lead to problems in schools. However, some
students have acceptable reasons for dropping out. As a result, a student s punctuality
can ultimately alter his or her education. On that note, dropping out of high school
can affect an individual in many ways throughout the years. Schools are facing
challenges dealing with high dropout rates, high rates of truancy, and low graduation
rates because students are failing to attend school.
To begin with, dropping out of high school has caused a negative uprise leading to
high dropout rates. There are several effects of dropping out of school. Many students
have difficult experiences during their early lives. High school dropouts are more
likely to be from households where parents do not help their children with school.
Some students feel there is disconnect between themselves, their parents, and their
teacher; therefore, they end up dropping out of school. However, if parents and
teachers communicate with students, there is a higher chance that the students will
graduate and succeed. Many adults, who dropped out of school, regret dropping out.

The cause of Asia s, or specifically China s, gender imbalance is fundamentally rooted
in its cultural beliefs, with its patrilineal system putting preference upon the male
child. There are numerous socioeconomic factors such as the unequal opportunities
for females, retirement support that could be provided by men, and better socio
economic opportunities, like education and employment, that is given to males.
After the introduction of the one child policy, women scrambled to try and have
male children so that their children could have a chance at better social mobility, job
options, etc. The gender imbalance also negatively affects males, as there are not
enough women to have as wives, rear children, or provide insights and skills that a
man cannot. But by doing this, the deficit between males and females by sex ratio
increased exponentially. In relation to this, global interconnectivity through
technological advances, such as the internet, affected how quickly Western opinion
on sex selective abortion was seen in Asian countries.
Appiah and Hvistendahl both have opposing opinions on how global
interconnectivity affects other cultures. According to Hvistendahl, . . . India s
skewed ratio of male to female newborns was an outgrowth of economic progress, not
cultural backtracking (250).
Social Darwinism in Cyberpunk Literature Essay
In the 1870s, the English sociologist Herbert Spencer applied Charles Darwin s
theories of biological evolution to human behavior and institutions. Spencer used
the idea of survival of the fittest in biology and theorized human society had evolved
the same way (Cooper 15). Social Darwinism, as Spencer s theory is called, pits
everyone against each other to survive in the world where humans are soldiers in a
war for survival. If a person is poor, it is their fault and no one should help that person
rise above the poverty status. If a person is rich, they are worthy of the position based
on their actions, even if morally wrong. So if one is poor, the person will be weeded
out of society while the rich survive.

Not just the strong will survive, but the one with the strongest technology will
triumph. This is Cyberpunk.
For example, the story Burning Chrome by William Gibson illustrates the genre s
theme of characters manipulating technology to survive. The protagonists of
Gibson s story are Automatic Jack and Bobby Quine, a couple of hackers waiting
for their big score to come through. They need the financial windfall quickly too,
since Bobby is loosing his edge at the computer console and isn t getting any
younger. He was twenty eight, Bobby, and that s old for a console cowboy, (Gibson
170). Jack s job is to simply keep up with the hottest software to give the pair a
greater edge.
In general Gibson is describing two hackers losing the evolutionary battle for
survival. At age twenty eight, Bobby is already outdated. Cyberpunk is quick and
dirty when it comes to survival. The evolutionary fight is hard and normally a
character has one shot, like these two characters. What Jack and Bobby need is
something to place them above the rest of the hacker world, and in Cyberpunk that
can only be found though manipulating technology. This edge above competition
comes in the form of a black object:
It was obviously some kind of plug in military program. Out of the mailer, it looked

Research Paper On Mad Cow Disease
Mad cow disease is a deadly disease caused by prions in the brains of cattle. The
real name of this disease is bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Abnormal
prions are usually found in the brain tissue of many diseased cattle and they
transmit the infection. Many changes are seen in the brain of infected cattle.
Infection can lead to small holes in parts of the brain, giving the tissue a sponge
like appearance when viewed with a microscope. These small holes cause slow
decline in a cow s brain and eventually other symptoms develop affecting the whole
body. The cows then die.
If humans eat diseased cows, they can develop the human form of mad cow disease
known as Creutzfeldt Jakob disease (VCJD). Creutzfeldt Jakob disease can occur in

Imaging such as an MRI or PET scan may be helpful.

A brain biopsy (sample of brain tissue) may be taken.
The doctor may ask about the person s eating patterns if BSE transmission is

. Patients may be asked to stop taking any medications that could affect memory or
cause confusion. A doctor may refer a person to specialists in neurology and
infectious diseases, and the doctor will provide medications to ease symptoms. But
the reality is that all prion diseases cause death. There are no effective treatments
available. Progression from symptoms to diagnosis to death may be rapid from eight
months to up to 60 month The CDC maintain that the food supply in the U.S. is
extremely safe. Additionally, the number of cases in the U.K. has decreased
dramatically over the past decades. Still, the only absolute way to avoid infection is
to entirely eliminate the consumption of beef and other animals that may be prion
infected. The U.S. government has implemented a number of measures to prevent
BSE from entering the U.S. and to prevent the spread of the disease, as outlined by
the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). Some of these measures include the

Essay On Outliers By Malcolm Gladwell
( removed HTML )
Seong Hyun Kim(David)
ELA 11
Most people normally bring about personal qualities when they think for the main
components of success. However, Malcolm Gladwell, a famous writer, contradicts the
assumption of people through the book, Outliers. Gladwell insists that extrinsic
factors define success rather than the personal qualities. Nonetheless, Gladwell
himself goes against the topic of Outliers in his assertion about hard working if you
work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can
shape the world to your desires . Although people should work hard to seize the
opportunity for success, success actually came from extrinsic factors because
opportunity of relative age gives physical and emotional advantages through
appropriate timing for birth, opportunity to raise under the concerted cultivation
increases one s practical intelligence, and opportunity to fulfill 10,000 hours of
practice guarantees time to achieve success at every field.
For first reason to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To begin with, 10,000 hours of practice is known as the minimal time to become a
master in their own field. It s important to have 10,000 hours of practice, but most
of people can t fulfill 10,000 hours of practice because they do not have an
opportunity to get 10,000 hours. In the case of Outliers, Gladwell exemplifies
Beatles to show the opportunity to get 10,000 hours of practice. Beatles could fulfill
10,000 hours of practice in Hamburg for an opportunity to perform for 270 nights in
just over a year and a half. Consequently, the Beatles became outliers in their music.
The lesson from Beatles is that people should seize an opportunity to practice 10,000
hours at their field. Otherwise, the success doesn t approach to individuals. Therefore,
the opportunity to fulfill 10,000 hours of practice challenges Gladwell s suggestion of

Nature Nurture Essay. Nature Vs Nurture Essay Psychology - Year 12 WACE Thinkswap

  • 1. Nature Nurture Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of "Nature vs. Nurture" can be a challenging endeavor, as it involves delving into the complex interplay between inherent genetic factors and external environmental influences in shaping human traits and behaviors. The intricacies of this debate have intrigued scholars, psychologists, and scientists for decades, making it a rich but challenging subject to explore. One of the primary difficulties lies in navigating the vast body of research and conflicting theories surrounding the nature-nurture dichotomy. The extensive literature encompasses studies in genetics, psychology, sociology, and other disciplines, creating a landscape that demands careful synthesis and interpretation. Juggling between the contrasting perspectives of proponents of genetic determinism and those advocating for the significance of environmental factors adds an extra layer of intricacy. Moreover, the evolving nature of scientific discoveries and the continuous development of new methodologies pose a challenge in maintaining the currency and relevance of the information presented. As the field advances, staying abreast of the latest findings becomes crucial to providing a well-rounded and informed analysis. Balancing the discussion between nature and nurture without oversimplifying or neglecting the nuances is another hurdle. Striking a harmonious equilibrium in acknowledging the intertwined roles of genetics and environment requires a nuanced approach, avoiding reductionist viewpoints that fail to capture the complexity of human development. Additionally, addressing the ethical dimensions of the nature-nurture debate adds a layer of sensitivity to the writing process. The implications of different stances on issues such as personal responsibility, free will, and societal expectations necessitate thoughtful consideration and careful articulation. In conclusion, navigating the challenges of writing an essay on the "Nature vs. Nurture" debate demands a thorough understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the topic, a critical analysis of diverse perspectives, and the ability to synthesize complex information into a coherent and engaging narrative. While challenging, the exploration of this perennial debate provides an intellectually stimulating journey into the heart of what shapes human identity and behavior. • 2. Compare And Contrast The Death Of Marat And Michelangelo s... In these two exquisite works of art or shall we call them the grand master pieces of their era s. Both Jacques Louis David s The Death of Marat and Michelangelo s Pieta flawlessly reflects the untimely deaths of two significant figures that we know of today. The two figures comprised of Jesus Christ in Michelangelo s Pieta and Jean Paul Maratin Jacques Louis David s The Death of Marat. In the two pieces we see that the pair of artists portray the figures in a divine and yet virtuous way. One work of art almost mimicking the other, yet there is still some differences between the characteristics of each piece still making it its own individual self. In the following paragraphs we will be diving deeper into the similarities and differences... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only did David want to do this but his artistic viewpoints wanted him to reflect the use of propaganda to others through art in the Neoclassical era. In other words, he wanted to depict through the painting how politics during the French Revolution were taken sternly and had serious repercussions in a sort of misleading way. In the same way, if you did not fit into the rest of society and you stood out you were labeled as a target. As we see Marat was murdered by Corday who was seen as his political enemy. In the meantime, through the style of David s painting we see the use of iconography or the study or description of images and symbols . Here in this painting of The Death of Marat we see the main image (i.e. Marat) being used as more than just the centerpiece of the work rather, the symbol of the work which means there is more to this work than just The Death of Marat. Strangely enough, we can see the use of iconography when comparing The Death of Marat to an almost political Christ of his people. Meaning that Marat was killed for his religious beliefs/political beliefs and died for his people as that of Christ did with his religious beliefs. Incidentally, we can say that David s clear sympathies for Marat and his transformation of the politician into a timeless martyr or someone who sacrifices their life for not believing in Marat s case the political beliefs of the others in
  • 3. Chihiro s Response To Sociology Perhaps the most obvious example of change as a positive influence in the film can be observed in Chihiro s maturation. Prior to entering the spirit realm, Chihiro behaves as a typical, stubborn child unwilling to accept change; this can be observed in the way she responds to seeing her new school as she and her parents drive into town: sticking out her tongue as she says, It s gonna stink. I liked my old school. During the same scene, Chihiro s responses to her parents even slightly suggest that she is a bit spoiled as she complains how depressing it is that this is the first time she has gotten a bouquet of flowers and it s a goodbye present. When her mother reminds her that her father had gotten a rose for her birthday before, Chihiro

Six years later Walton relocated the store to the town square of Bentonville, Arkansasand renamed it Walton s Five and Dime. • 8. John Thomas s The Gospel In John s Gospel, as in the Synoptists, this phrase is used only by Christ in a speaking of Himself; and elsewhere only in Acts 7: 56, where the name is applied to Him by Stephen. It occurs less frequently in John than in the Synoptists, being found in Matthew thirty times, in Mark thirteen, and in John twelve. Jesususe of the term here is explained in two ways. 1.That He borrows the title from the Old Testament to designate Himself either (a) as a Prophet, as in Ezekiel 2: 13; 3:1, etc.; or (b) as the Messiah, as prefigured in Daniel 7:13. This prophecy of Daniel had obtained such wide currency that the Messiah was called Anani, or the man of the clouds. a.This is untenable, because in Ezekiel, as everywhere in the Old Testament, the phrase Son of man, or Sons of men, is used to describe man under his human limitations, as weak, fallible, and incompetent by himself to be divine agent. b.The allusion to Daniel s prophecy is admitted; but Jesus does not mean to say, I am the Messiah who is prefigured by Daniel. A political meaning attached in popular conception to the term Messiah; and it is noticeable throughout John s Gospel that Jesus carefully avoids using that term before the people, but expresses the thing itself by circumlocution, in order to avoid the complication which the popular understanding would have introduced into his work. We can see on (John 7: 24, 25 and John 10: 24, 25). Moreover, the phrase Son of man was not generally applied to the Messiah.
  • 9. Social Isolation And Social Capital Social Isolation and Social Capital The surprising finding of Rankin and Quane does to an extent show the limits of Putnam s previous research on social isolation because it does not take into consideration economics and race. Social isolation refers to the lack of contact or of sustained interaction with individuals and institutions that represent mainstream society (Wilson qtd Rankin Quane 4). Although, Rankin and Quane s findings show high levels of engagement among people in poorer neighborhoods, the findings are not significant enough to change the notion that social capital is eroding. Putnam refers to social capital as a feature of social organization such as networks, norms, and social trust that facilitates coordination for mutual benefit (9). This means that the lack of involvement in the community decreases social capital and increases social isolation amongst Americans. In this essay, I will talk about the connections between social isolation, social capital, and social connection. Social connectedness can be viewed as interaction people have between their neighbors and their overall surrounding. Some of the examples we will be looking into is the effect mothers have on social capital, the loss of trust amongst Americans, lack of network communication, effects that trust, reciprocation, and obligation have on social isolation and social capital. Social isolation plays a big role in social capital, social connection, economic status, and race.

A third failure in understanding the operational environment occurred when Sears coordinated the delivery of rice from Haidho to the stricken area in Sarkhan. His lack of understanding of the Sarkhanese and communist tactics was reciprocated by his subordinates. The latter became evident when the rice bags were labeled as if coming from the communists and no USIS employee realized what it meant. In addition, there was no effort from US employees to talk or interact with locals at the destination. The confusion led the Sarkhanese to believe that the rice bags in fact were provided by the communists. A good description of Sears failure in understanding the operational environment was provided by Ambassador Louis Krupitzyn on his report to Moscow. This disconnect between the American employees and the Sarkhanese provided Moscow with the ability to freely connect with the population and turn the table

The manual goes further by addressing the typical age of onset, culturally related information, gender related information, prevalence of a disorder, typical clinical course of a disorder, typical predisposing factors of a disorder and genetic family patterns of a disease (Summers, 2009). Personality disorders have a sex prevalence rate and there has been some suggestion that those rates reflect gender bias. The bias concerns derived from the conceptualization of personality disorders, the wording of diagnostic criteria, the application of diagnostic criteria, thresholds for diagnosis, clinical presentation, researching sampling, the self awareness and openness of patients and the items included within self report inventories (Butcher, 2009, p. 356). Studies have failed to prove that there is significant gender bias in the DSM. However, research has showed there is gender bias within clinical judgments. For example, gender related items would be included within self report inventories (Butcher, 2009). Clinicians tend to judge female patients as being mentally ill more readily than male patients, even when the symptoms are the same. Moreover, women are more likely to be cast as overly emotional, have a need for mood altering medication and require ongoing monitoring/treatment (Zur and Nordmarken, 2010). Sexual orientation has also caused considerable bias. Homosexuality was listed in the DSM as a mental disorder up until 1974. Even law had identified homosexual behavior as criminal; for instance, sodomy laws. Although homosexuality is no longer listed in the DSM, therapists still have the option of considering homosexual behavior as a sexual disorder not otherwise specified. The foundation has crumbled socially, politically, and economically. The citizens are left to fend for themselves in, what is now, a ruthless nation with just a hint of civilized communities. However, instead of race being the issue, the socioeconomic class is the primary target of abhorrence and bias. Cervantes demonstrated to the Western world how poetry and fantasy could coexist with the experience of reality which is perceptible to the senses. He did this by presenting poetic reality, which previously had been confined to the ideal region of dream, as something experienced by a real person, and the dream thus became the reality of any man living his dream. Therefore, the trivial fact that a poor hidalgo loses his reason for one cause or another is of little importance. The innovation is that Don Quixote s madness is converted into the theme of his life and into a theme for the life of other people, who are affected as much by the madness of the hidalgo as is he himself. Some want him to revert to his condition of a peaceful and sedentary hidalgo; others would like him to keep on amusing or stupefying people with his deeds,

While our technology becomes increasingly more advanced so does the ability to steal information from these systems. Cyber Securityis one of the biggest threats our nation faces as we become more dependent on the use of technology in our day to day lives. What is Cyber Security? The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) defines Cyber Security as Cybersecurity is the collection of tools, policies, security concepts, security safeguards, guidelines, risk management approaches, actions, training, best practices, assurance and technologies that can be used to protect the cyber environment and organization and user s assets. To fully understand Cyber Security, we must delve into the history of

This fighting ultimately leads to thousands of innocent lives lost men, women and children. We grieve their deaths, we mourn their deaths and we feel saddened by their deaths. Poetrycan help alleviate this saddened feeling. It can help us to feel happier in times of great depression and stress. Some poems however strike the heart of warand the horrors related to it. The poets can express their points of view on war, conscriptions or the propagandas in a dark manner and create a gloomy atmosphere. One of these poems is part of David Lockyer s War Limericks. As the title suggests, this poem is a limerick with sound and visual language used to boost the poems meaning. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the poem, Lockyer is expressing the success of the B 17 bomber in World War II. The bomber was a relatively large airframe measuring in at a wingspan of 32 metres and an overall length of 21 metres. Because of this, he compares the B 17 to a castle, saying it was a castle in the air. He also calls the B 17 a flying fortress. This name again gives us a visual image of just how large this bomber was. Speaking of a flying fortress, this is one example of sound language that Lockyer has used. It is a form of alliteration and helps to flow the poem. It helps to emphasise the idea of the B 17 being a castle in the sky. Alliteration also adds to the rhythm of a poem and in a limerick this is all the more important. Because this poem is a limerick, it contains an AABBA rhyme and rhythm pattern. Rhyme and rhythm in a poem are important because they provide the heartbeat of the poem to which it can flow

The exact origins of this honeycombed cake are unknown, but the story of its evolution from a thin, crisp wafer to a thick, leavened cake, is a fascinating one. It is hard to imagine the waffle without its iconic honeycombed surface, but in the beginning it probably started as a simple, flat cake. The ancient Greeks cooked flat cakes, called obelios, between hot metal plates. As they spread throughout medieval Europe, the cakes made from a mixture of flour, water or milk, and sometimes eggs became known as wafers and were also cooked over an open fire between iron plates with long handles. At some point, perhaps in the 13th century, these began to be stamped with various designs ranging from family crests and landscape scenes to the characteristic grid pattern. The Dutch were particularly fond of waffles and colonists introduced them to the New World in the early 17th century. (It was in the New World that these cakes met their perfect companion, maple syrup.) By 1735, the word gained an extra f, becoming waffle as we know it today. Thomas Jefferson is said to have brought the first long handled waffle iron to America in 1789. About 80 years later, New York s Cornelius Swarthout patented the first stovetop waffle iron. Waffle cones for ice cream debuted at the 1904 World s Fair in St. Louis. On the home front, the old stovetop waffle irons were outfitted for

Gender Stereotypes in Othello Essay Stereotypes are commonly held generalized beliefs that most or all individuals sharing a given trait also should or do share other attributes assumed to be associated with aspects such as race, religion, and physical attribute. While stereotypes can erroneously shape people s views of others, they can also influence the stereotyped individuals behavior as people often attempt to conform to these flawed images, especially in regards to genderstereotypes. Shakespeare mocks society s extreme measures by suggesting death as the sole option for Othello when he fails to understand that Desdemona may not fit female stereotypes. Without the ability to label her, Othello fails to assert Desdemona s chastity and corruptibility simultaneously and murders Desdemona to redeem her from degradation (Neely). The characters, like many people, struggle to alter views that have been so firmly pressed into their minds. In this way, Shakespeare negatively comments on humans inabilities to see beyond what society tells them and to comprehend truths unique to a specific person rather than his gender roles. Shakespeare uses the characters Desdemona and Othello to display how people become accustomed to the gender identities that society defines for them. Therefore, both characters, as depicted by their deaths, fail to understand each other personally as individuals instead of as the stereotypical man or woman that is being presented. Although misperceptions about the other gender are dangerous causes of downfall, flawed views among one s own gender are also great contributors to destruction. Othello and Desdemona best exemplify this notion. Desdemona presents herself as pure, compassionate, and understanding towards everyone, especially Othello. Shakespeare theorizes on how some women believe the stereotype about females is valid and must be followed, and men can exhibit the same

There are numerous socioeconomic factors such as the unequal opportunities for females, retirement support that could be provided by men, and better socio economic opportunities, like education and employment, that is given to males. After the introduction of the one child policy, women scrambled to try and have male children so that their children could have a chance at better social mobility, job options, etc. The gender imbalance also negatively affects males, as there are not enough women to have as wives, rear children, or provide insights and skills that a man cannot. However, Malcolm Gladwell, a famous writer, contradicts the assumption of people through the book, Outliers. Gladwell insists that extrinsic factors define success rather than the personal qualities. Nonetheless, Gladwell himself goes against the topic of Outliers in his assertion about hard working if you work hard enough and assert yourself, and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires . Although people should work hard to seize the opportunity for success, success actually came from extrinsic factors because opportunity of relative age gives physical and emotional advantages through appropriate timing for birth, opportunity to raise under the concerted cultivation increases one s practical intelligence, and opportunity to fulfill 10,000 hours of practice guarantees time to achieve success at every field. Beatles could fulfill 10,000 hours of practice in Hamburg for an opportunity to perform for 270 nights in just over a year and a half. Consequently, the Beatles became outliers in their music.
