Confederation worked but had a few flaws which included no system of national courts and also
Congress lacked strong and steady leadership. The weakness were quite significant so the

creation of the United StatesConstitution. The Federalist wanted a strong central government but
the Anti Federalists were scared that would be like Britain again so they opted for a small weak

from being overpowered by creating Checks and Balances, The Executive branch was responsible

Far Away from Home His plane had just landed on the island Montreal. He already felt nostalgic
ever since he left Marseilles, his hometown. He asked himself whether he will enjoy living
blissfully or suffer in this province because people here are very different than those living in
France. Pascal de Bonaventure was enrolled to Westmount High School. He joined the French
immersion program and took every other enriched course. Pascal was head and shoulders above
the rest of the students in France. He was an intellectual Haitian teenager with a strongly built
body and an afro shaped like a tree. He would naturally have this austere demeanor; he would

The Age of New Imperialism in Britain was a time of prosperity and total domination. Compared to
previous years of imperialism, this period was focused primarily on benefitting the colonial power,
Britain, instead of establishing new settlements. Even though the British imperialism of the late

I always get my vitamins. This is proof that society and western culture, believe that women
belong in the kitchen or at home doing housework. The idea of a woman doing work that
requires hard labor or strength, or better yet, doing work outside of what is believed to be her
area of concentration, is completely incompatible with the western cultural conception of an
ideal woman. In the average household, the man is believed to be the breadwinner of the family.
He becomes the dominant figure of the family. The woman becomes the submissive figure the
