Sophie wrote a self-assessment of a speech she gave where she rated herself on various criteria and identified areas for improvement. She felt she could have organized her speech better, engaged the audience more with her opening, and included more detail. When reflecting on how to improve future speeches, Sophie noted she could speak more clearly and loudly and use more expression. She was impressed by how well-rehearsed other students' speeches seemed in comparison to her own.
