Mooseheart Case Study
Throughout my with Colleen Morgan, I had the opportunity to learn about the aspects of
an organization. For example, I learned about the macro level challenges that
Mooseheart is currently facing. Therefore, Ms. Morgan explained that the macro level
challenges that Mooseheart is currently facing is the problems with the Department of
Labor which required the organization about 4 5 months ago to redefine their salary
position because there was a requirement for an hour cap (Colleen Morgan, personal
interview, September 18, 2017). Furthermore, it is indicated how this has impact the
organization because making new policy of hour requires to redefine work days and
time off which is very complex.
In addition, when asked about what ways Mooseheart advocate for services and those
they serve, Ms. Morgan explained that they are not very political involved. However, she
further explains that Mooseheart significantly advocates for their youth in the program
for education services, dental services, health services and many other services (Colleen
Morgan, personal interview, September 18, 2017). Furthermore, Mooseheart advocates
for their staff and provides them benefit requirements for ... Show more content on

Morgan discussed that the current (Illinois) state of affairs has effect your services.
For example, the big challenges of Mooseheart is that all youth are on the state health
care. Through the state health care, it makes it less possible for doctors to provided
services to the youth in the organization (Colleen Morgan, personal interview,
September 18, 2017).. Additionally, it requires less care for the children because it is a
longer waiting process and it requires second and third opinions. Furthermore, if local
doctors are not able to provide services to the youth then the adjustment is for youth to go
to Chicago to get the health services they need. Furthermore, this indicated that the youth
will have to miss school for health services because the long process of going into
Song Of Solomon Analysis
The purpose of this analysis is to examine an extract from the song of Solomon in
terms of its linguistic features, and how these compare to PDE (Present Day English).
The text contains 51 lines in which to portray these findings. The song of Solomon is
written in the King James Bible, of which is also called the authorized version. This
version of the King James Bible was written in the year 1611AD (early 17th century),
as a translation from the Christian bible dating back many years prior. William Tyndale
was the fast person to translate the bible directly in to English from its original
languages of Greek and Hebrew.
Vocabulary: Loanwords
Within the extract, there are several examples of vocabulary which has undergone
semantic change, or has become obsolete or archaic. The word flagons which is a noun

for holding wine or other liquors; in early use sometimes spec. a metal bottle with a
screw top, such as was carried by pilgrims. (OED). The first recorded use of this lexeme
was in 1470 1485 (OED).
Vocabulary: Obsolete and Archaic words
This extract also contains some obsolete and archaic words, for example the word lo

Willy Loman Argumentative Essay
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Eleanor
Roosevelt. Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember you have
within you the strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change
the world. Harriet Tubman. A positive attitude can really make dreams come true it did
for me. David Bailey. It is clear from their quotes that these famous people have put
complete trust in dreams, and also inspire others to do so as well. But given different
scenarios, is trusting dreams always the right direction? Do people always strive to
achieve these so called dreams, or are there some factors that stop them from becoming
what their hearts desire? Many people, including Willy Loman, fall prey to the last
question. Discarding their dreams, due to societal pressure, they decide to become people
they weren t meant to be and therefore lose their way pursuing what they believe they
should be doing, rather than what their hearts really want.... Show more content on

Blessed with two sons, Biff and Happy, Willy was proud with both of them, claiming
that they would someday raise the Loman name higher than it really is. He was
particularly splendid of Biff, due to his athletic characteristics, coupled with the fact
that he was a good football player. Remember how he waved to me? Right up from the
field, with the representatives of three colleges standing by? And the buyers I brought,
and the cheers when he came out Loman, Loman, Loman! God Almighty, he ll be great

Types of Vacations
Vacations are a time we use to recharge our batteries. A time to spend with the ones you
love and build lifelong memories. There are many different options to consider when
choosing where and how to vacation. Everyone has different things they consider
enjoyable or relaxing. In this essay I will discuss different types of vacations and point
out some benefits of each. Some people enjoy vacationing at the beach. The warm
climate is one of the biggest selling points when deciding on a beach vacation. You can
enjoy warm weather activities like swimming picnicking or volleyball. Or you can just
completely relax. Lay out in the sand with your feet in the water and a cold beverage,
soaking up the sunshine. Beach vacations are usually... Show more content on

People with this mentality would probably be more interested in the theme park or
sightseeing vacations. There are lots of things to do. The days are action packed with
little or no down time. Once you finish one thing, there are a hundred other things to
do next. I personally prefer a mix of the two. I usually like staying busy. I will get
bored easily and feel like I m wasting time if I don t have something to do. But I don t
like to feel tied down. If I spontaneously decide I want to go do something else, I like to
have that option. My grandmother on the other hand is the master of doing nothing on
vacation. A few times a year she rents a beach house or condo on the water, then she
spends the entire week inside, sitting on the couch reading books. I don t know why
she insists that she be near the water, when she will never even step outside once to
look at the water. But it s what she likes to do. And that s the whole point of vacation,
getting some time that is just for you. Whether you enjoy beaches or mountains, whether
you want to chill or go on an adventure, a vacation is a time for you to do what makes
you happy. The purpose of this essay was to explore the different styles of vacations with
the thought of matching them to your
Examples Of In-Group Favoritism
than out group members. In group favoritism (Tajfel Turner, 1979) has been repeatedly
perceived in both lab and real world situation. Muslims tended to allocate more money
to their ethnically in group members in a dictator game (Whitt Wilson, 2007). After
Clinton s concession in 2008, democrats were more likely to behave generously toward
people who supported their own preferred candidate than the people who supported other
democratic candidate (Rand et al., 2009). Thus based on the phenomena of in group
favoritism, perceivers who were single might perceived single target as more favorable
than attached perceivers.
Why do people hold so many stereotypical beliefs towards singles? The main reason
seems to be an overemphasis on marriage. The majority of people assume that married
people were happier, less lonely, and more mature (Morris, DePaulo, Hertel, Ritter,
2004). Western society maintains the ideology that marriage is the most important social
relationship (Day, Kay, Holmes, Napier, 2011). In U.S., at least 90 percent of adults
have been married at some point in their life (Connidis, 2001). Thus people who ... Show

Children evaluated moral transgressions (e.g. a child throwing water to another child)
as more serious offenses as well as more likely to deserve punishment than conventional
transgression (e.g. a child not sitting in the designated place during story time)
(Smetana, 1981). As people mature, instead of simply making moral judgments based
on the consequences of the action (e.g. the boy who accidently broke 15 cups is
naughtier than a boy who broke one cup while stealing), people were able to make moral
judgments not only by direct consequence but also by motivation and intention behind
behavior (e.g. the boy who broke one cup while stealing is naughtier than the boy who
accidently broke 15 cups) (Piaget,
Argumentative Essay On The Columbine Shooting
More mass shooting in America are more common now than they have ever been
before. The columbine shooting is the biggest school shooting in history. It was on
April 20, 1999 when this devastating event happened. One of the things that made the
shooting memorable is that the shooters shot Christians. The columbine shooting was
an awful event. Twelve students and one teacher were killed. The shooters names
were Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. There are many different theories on why they
did it. They were bullied, they were different, and some say they did it so they would
just be remembered. Klebold was hurting inside while Harris wanted to hurt people
says Dave Cullen who did an investigation trying to understand why two high schoolers
could do such a thing. Dylan and Eric were a part of a trench coat mafia. They both
had loving families, and were raised good. They wanted the shooting to be the most
deaths in United States history and it would ve been if their plan would have worked.
They planted bombs in the cafeteria but they didn t go off, they had a backup plan
though. When they realized the bombs didn t go off they grabbed their guns and
headed into the school. If their bombs would ve gone off it would ve killed around six
hundred people. The People who lost their lives that day are, Cassie Bernall age 17,

The Movie The Killing Joke
If comic book fans were asked to reveal their favorite Batman story of all time, The
Killing Joke would undoubtedly receive a multitude of votes. For several reasons, Alan
Moore s legendary story has withstood the test of time, most notably because it changed
the very foundation of the Batman universe as it humanized The Jokerby giving him an
origin story and shocked readers when events crippled Barbara Gordon.
Thus, it comes as no surprise that a popular story like The Killing Joke is finally
receiving the animated treatment you know, since not every great storyline can find its
way into the live action cinematic universe. In any event, other storylines that have
received the animated treatment, such as Under the Red Hood and Batman: Year One,
have proven to be strong, loyal adaptations.
Unfortunately, the same can t be said for The Killing Joke...
In The Killing Joke, directed by Sam Liu (Batman: Year One, Justice League: Crisis on
Two Earths), Tara Strong stars as the voice of Batgirl, Batman s (Kevin Conroy) crime
fighting partner. But, on the duo s latest mission, Batman decides to bench Batgirl when
he believes her judgment is clouded after a newly established gangster on the rise makes
things personal. Batgirl vents her anger to Batman, which leads to an unexpected
moment that essentially ruins their partnership.
Batgirl opts to retire from crime fighting and decides to focus on spending more time
with her father, Commissioner Gordon (Ray Wise). In the

Glaciation In The Pacific Cordillera Of North America
Although it may not feel like it, we are currently in an ice age today. An ice age is just
a period of time when the Earth s climate faces a constant and drastic decrease in
temperature. Periods of colder temperature during an ice age have been called
glaciations because they result in something being covered by glaciers or ice sheets.
Shorter term, irregular intervals of warmer temperatures have been called interglacials ,
which is what we are currently living in today. However, some scientists believe that the
climatemay dramatically decrease in the near future, and we could see glaciers return
again like we did in the last glacial period. This last glacial period is referred to as The
Ice Age. It was the most recent glacial period within our current ice age occurring in the...

The glaciations that occurred during this glacial period covered many areas, primarily
in the Northern Hemisphere where the ice sheets were approximately two and a half
miles thick. There were twelve different names assigned to the multiple locations where
glaciation occurred at that time. Three terms were coined for glaciation in North
America. Glaciation in the Pacific Cordillera of North America was known as, Fraser .
The Central Rocky Mountain area s glaciation was called Pinedale , and glaciation in
central North America was known as Wisconsinian .
When the Ice Age began, the Rocky Mountain National Park area saw large ice sheets
covering much of the land. There had been proof of earlier glaciation in the Rocky
Mountain area because a mass of older rocks and sediments called moraines had been
deposited by a glacier and found on the edges and extremities of the mountains there.
Unfortunately, a large majority of the evidence has been erased by the more recent
glaciation in the Ice Age.
I Have A Dream Metaphor
I Have A Dream Literary Analysis The Martin Luther King speech is a well known,
powerful speech. It was given to fight for the black Civil Rights Movement. Martin
Luther King Jr. had a huge impact on the change of that time period due to his famous
speech. But what did Dr. King do to make his speech so memorable? I have a dream
was one line that stood out the most. That is because Dr. King made it into an anaphora.
He also got the crowd s attention by starting his speech strong with some metaphors.
These rhetorical devices really increased the speech s greatness. The main rhetorical
device Martin Luther King Jr. used was anaphora. He used this technique many times
throughout his speech. Dr. King started the speech with an anaphora. His... Show more

In paragraph 3, Martin Luther King used his first metaphor. One hundred years later,
the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the
chains of discrimination. This metaphor is saying how society in 1963 limited blacks
rights. It s a metaphor because there can t be real chains on discrimination, but what
Dr. King means by this is that the Negroes still are being judged by the color of their
skin and they aren t aloud to do anything about it. In paragraph 5, Martin Luther King
uses another big metaphor. America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check
which has come back marked insufficient funds. America didn t really give the Negro
people a check, but what he means by this is that society doesn t care about the
Negroes and they won t help them out. African Americans in this time were very
looked down upon because they were viewed as lesser people. The white people acted
as if they were better than them and thought they shouldn t need to share public places
or objects with the blacks. That is what this metaphor is trying to express. The
metaphors in this speech go hand in hand with some of the anaphoras. The metaphor in
paragraph 3 follows before and after Dr. King s first anaphora, One hundred years later .
The metaphor in paragraph 5 leads before the anaphora, We refuse to
Crack Cocaine And Drug Addiction
The drug crack cocaine is the crystalized form of cocaine that normally comes in a
powder form. Smoking crack cocaine, which is way stronger than crack itself, permits the
drug to reach the brain faster which brings a strong and almost instantaneous high that
endures for approximately fifteen minutes. Because crack cocaineaddiction can develop
quicker if the substance is smoked rather than inhaled, the user can develop an addiction
after their first time even experiencing the drug. Crack cocainehas a high cost, while
crack alone is traded at low cost. Once a crack cocaine user is addicted, the amount that
they tend to use increases and the price also increases causes a direct struggle for funds
in order to pay. The definitions of crack cocaine addictions can vary, but most incorporate
the fact that as a staple norm the persistent use of a drug notwithstanding the presence of
undesirable and damaging consequences and concerns for the user s well being,
employment, financial stability, and relationships/associations. The significant
component of crack cocaine is the users craving and loss of control, indicating the failure
of the user to change their uncontrollable behavior. From doing research on this topic, I
found that cocaine addiction was once assumed to be mainly mental in nature. In the
book that we read in class, Fast Lives by Claire Sterk, she challenges the common
misperceptions of crack cocaine and shows us through study that the common
perceptions that we have
Informative Speech On Opioids
Informative Speech Outline
Introduction
I.Attention Getter: Many of us know firsthand what opioids do to people. I bet
everyone here has had a call where drugs of any kind where used in the wrong way,
especially opioids.
II.Motivation for Listening: But have you ever wondered how they get to the point
where they need medical attention, and if this problem could have been prevented?
III.Thesis Statement: Today, I will inform you on what opioid do to their victims and
possible solutions to the problem.
IV.Preview of Speech: I will identify the problem, discuss what opioid addictiondoes to
people, and discuss possible solutions to the problem.
V.Transition: First, I will identify the problem.
Body
I.First Main Point: Last month president Trump declared the opioid epidemic a public
health emergency (Merica, 2017). This goes to show that the opioid problem is a huge
deal in the United States and it should be treated so.
a.Analysis: According to the Center for Disease Control, in Florida, there was over
3,200 deaths from opioid overdoses, and opioids account for the most overdose deaths in
the United States ( Opioid Overdose, 2016).
b.Analysis: Opioids are a class of drug that are medically used as very effective
painkillers, like fentanyl and morphine, however, they are highly addictive and produce
a feeling of euphoria ( Opioids ). This combination leads do a lot of abuse and
dependency, where people take more than prescribed in order to feel better. People start
off taking the opioid painkillers in order to not feel pain as prescribed by their doctors.
Then, they end up getting addicted to them. There are also illicit opioids, such as heroin,
that are also highly addictive and also lead to dependency and death ( Opioids ). These
illicit versions are taken for recreational reasons, and are also often mixed with other
drugs. The combination of taking an unregulated drug in conjunction with other drugs
leads to a lot of overdoses.
c.Transition: Next, I will talk about why people get addicted to opioids and what they do
to the body.
II.Second Main Point: As mentioned before, opioids are highly addictive, but why? Why
don t people just stop taking the drugs when they realize they have a problem? The

The Effects Of Haymarket Bombing On American Labor
Movement
In his book Death in the Haymarket, James Green recounted the American labor
movement in the late 1800s. The main focus of Green s book was the bombing of
Haymarket, which occurred on May 4 in 1886. Beginning as a peaceful protest promoting
the eight hour work day, a bomb was thrown causing devastating consequences. The
Haymarket bombing almost ended the labor movement altogether, with unjustified trials
and fear implemented amongst all Americans. However, it is important to know that the
Haymarket bombing is not just an isolated event. From wage cuts to people going on
strike, labor unions starting up, to almost losing the labor movement altogether. The
Haymarket bombing was the fuse to an event larger bomb known as the labor movement.
Although the Haymarket bombing is an extremely important event, it should be seen in a
much larger context rather than an isolated event. The Haymarket bombing was an
important incident in America s history nevertheless, it falls under a much bigger
category which is the labor movement. The labor movement was started because of the
unjust ways that labor had on the working class in America during the 1800s. It first
started out with wage cuts for the working class in America, which then led to an
increasing amount of strikes. Then leading to the formation of labor unions, which is the
people who were attending the meeting at Haymarket the day of the bombing. So if the
labor movement had never started, then the bombing at Haymarket may have

Class Diagram From The Unified Modeling Language ( Uml )
Class diagram. A class diagram in the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a type of
static structure diagram that describes the structure of a system by showing the system
s classes, their attributes, operations (or methods), and the relationships among objects.
It is used both for generalconceptual modelling of the systematics of the application, and
for detailed modeling translating the models into programming code. For data
modeling class diagrams can also be used. The classes in a class diagram represent both
the main elements, interactions in the application, and the classes to be programmed.
Sequence diagram. Sequence diagrams are used to show the objects behavior in a use
case by describing the objects and the messages which are passed. This diagram would
provide a graphical representation of object interactions. These diagrams depicts how an
actor, objects and components interact . Sequence diagrams show the flow of messages

Old Major s Speech In Animal Farm By John Orwell
One of the most interesting speeches in Animal Farm is the one made by Old Major
shortly before his death. It is a speech that seeks to ensure that the animals on the farm
come to realize their rights and to spur them towards rebelling against their human
masters. A consequence of this speech is that it has considerable ramifications, since it
ends up leading to the revolution against Jones, the owner of the farm and makes the
animalstake control over the entire farm. Old Major s speech is an important aspect of
the story because it is what sets up its plotline while at the same time ensuring that there
is advancement of the recognition of the animals rights and the need for them to exercise
these rights against tyrannical administrators.
Old Major s speech helps the animals on the farm to ensure that they recognize their
rights. The speech is reminiscent of Karl Marx s Communist Manifesto because it allows
for an analysis of the lives that the animals are undergoing and creates proposals
concerning the best way through which to improve their lives for the better. One of the
most significant statements that Old Major makes is that the life of the animals is
miserable, laborious, and short (Orwell 27). This is an important statement that shows the
lives of animals essentially being in the service of their master rather than for themselves.
A consequence is that Old Major seeks to show that the animals, as intelligent beings
themselves, have a right to have happy lives,
1980s Technology Research Paper
In this ESSAY I will be discussing all of the type s technology that was popular in
certain eras, and what influenced in its popularity. Technology is the application of
scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry, machinery and
devices developed from scientific knowledge. The eras that I will cover are the 1980s,
the 1990s and the 2000s. I have chosen these eras because I would like to learn about
some of the technologies while I m researching for technologyin these eras, and to get a
better understanding of how some of them influenced in the grate technologies we have
today.

Klebold And Harris Shooting Research Paper
On this day in 1999of April 20, two teenage gunmen kill 13 people in a shooting spree
at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, south of Denver. At approximately
11:19 a.m., Dylan Klebold, 18, and Eric Harris, 17, dressed in trench coats, began
shooting students outside the school before moving inside to continue their rampage.
By 11:35 a.m., Klebold and Harris had killed 12 fellow students and a teacher and
wounded another 23 people. Shortly after noon, the two teens turned their guns on
themselves and committed suicide. This event made me feel safe around schools with
uniforms because it makes it more unlikely for students to bring weapons. It shows that
teens may be all able to get weapons easily making me aware of the people surrounding
me.
The crime was the worst school shooting in U.S. history (until 33 people, including the
gunman, were killed in the Virginia Tech shooting on April 16, 2007)and prompted a
national debate on gun control and school safety, as well as a major investigation to
determine what motivated the teen gunmen. In the days quickly following the shootings,
it was predicted that Klebold and Harris purposely chose jocks, minorities and Christians

The Theme of Cruelty in The Poisonwood Bible In Kingsolvers novel,The Poisonwood
Bible, the characters are subjected to physical and physiological cruelty due to the
actions and imperiousness of the perpetrator and antagonist Nathan Price. The
Poisonwood Bible is told in a series of chronological accounts from the women of
Price family in which the reader sees the cruelty and misfortune they endure in their
everyday life in the Congo. In the end, cruelty pushes the Price family to the breaking
point and the whole family decides to leave Nathan in the village as he loses what is
little left of his sanity. Although Nathan s motives for forcing his family from 1950s
urban America to the village Congo may be genuinely good, his ignorance... Show more

Throughout the novel, Nathan exhibits cruelty towards his family and the villagers.
Cruelty is a direct antonym of Love. Looking back to the Bible, Paul states in a letter
to the: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is
love ( New International Version, 1 Corinthians 13:13). While Nathan may be
spreading faith and hope, because of his cruelty, he is certainly not showing love,
which according to scripture is the most important. Instead of loving his wife
Orleanna, Nathan rebukes her many times for no reason and even acts out in physical
cruelty by roughly batting Orleanna away as she tried to nurse his wounds. Nathan s
actions are again hypocritical and go directly against the Bible says. Paul, in another
letter, writes Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave
himself up for her. (Ephesians 5:25). Ultimately Nathan is not able to convince any of
the villagers to be baptized because he has not showed love and therefore not God to
them. John, another apostle, states to a church that is struggling with false prophets:
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8). One may
conclude from these verses that even though Nathan Price may have some knowledge of
the Bible, he truly does not know God,

  • 2. Mooseheart Case Study Throughout my with Colleen Morgan, I had the opportunity to learn about the aspects of an organization. For example, I learned about the macro level challenges that Mooseheart is currently facing. Therefore, Ms. Morgan explained that the macro level challenges that Mooseheart is currently facing is the problems with the Department of Labor which required the organization about 4 5 months ago to redefine their salary position because there was a requirement for an hour cap (Colleen Morgan, personal interview, September 18, 2017). Furthermore, it is indicated how this has impact the organization because making new policy of hour requires to redefine work days and time off which is very complex. In addition, when asked about what ways Mooseheart advocate for services and those they serve, Ms. Morgan explained that they are not very political involved. However, she further explains that Mooseheart significantly advocates for their youth in the program for education services, dental services, health services and many other services (Colleen Morgan, personal interview, September 18, 2017). Furthermore, Mooseheart advocates for their staff and provides them benefit requirements for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Morgan discussed that the current (Illinois) state of affairs has effect your services. For example, the big challenges of Mooseheart is that all youth are on the state health care. Through the state health care, it makes it less possible for doctors to provided services to the youth in the organization (Colleen Morgan, personal interview, September 18, 2017).. Additionally, it requires less care for the children because it is a longer waiting process and it requires second and third opinions. Furthermore, if local doctors are not able to provide services to the youth then the adjustment is for youth to go to Chicago to get the health services they need. Furthermore, this indicated that the youth will have to miss school for health services because the long process of going into

The text contains 51 lines in which to portray these findings. The song of Solomon is written in the King James Bible, of which is also called the authorized version. This version of the King James Bible was written in the year 1611AD (early 17th century), as a translation from the Christian bible dating back many years prior. Always remember you have within you the strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. Harriet Tubman. A positive attitude can really make dreams come true it did for me. David Bailey. It is clear from their quotes that these famous people have put complete trust in dreams, and also inspire others to do so as well. But given different scenarios, is trusting dreams always the right direction? Do people always strive to achieve these so called dreams, or are there some factors that stop them from becoming what their hearts desire? Many people, including Willy Loman, fall prey to the last question. Discarding their dreams, due to societal pressure, they decide to become people they weren t meant to be and therefore lose their way pursuing what they believe they should be doing, rather than what their hearts really want.... He was particularly splendid of Biff, due to his athletic characteristics, coupled with the fact that he was a good football player. Remember how he waved to me? Right up from the field, with the representatives of three colleges standing by? And the buyers I brought, and the cheers when he came out Loman, Loman, Loman! God Almighty, he ll be great yet. He had a very obsequious wife that loved and cared for him very much, and his boss had promised him partnership whenever he asked for it. Things weren t so bad, were

There are many different options to consider when choosing where and how to vacation. Everyone has different things they consider enjoyable or relaxing. In this essay I will discuss different types of vacations and point out some benefits of each. Some people enjoy vacationing at the beach. The warm climate is one of the biggest selling points when deciding on a beach vacation. You can enjoy warm weather activities like swimming picnicking or volleyball. People with this mentality would probably be more interested in the theme park or sightseeing vacations. There are lots of things to do. The days are action packed with little or no down time. Once you finish one thing, there are a hundred other things to do next. I personally prefer a mix of the two. I usually like staying busy. I will get bored easily and feel like I m wasting time if I don t have something to do. But I don t like to feel tied down. If I spontaneously decide I want to go do something else, I like to have that option. My grandmother on the other hand is the master of doing nothing on vacation. A few times a year she rents a beach house or condo on the water, then she spends the entire week inside, sitting on the couch reading books. I don t know why she insists that she be near the water, when she will never even step outside once to look at the water. But it s what she likes to do. And that s the whole point of vacation, getting some time that is just for you. Whether you enjoy beaches or mountains, whether you want to chill or go on an adventure, a vacation is a time for you to do what makes you happy. The purpose of this essay was to explore the different styles of vacations with the thought of matching them to your

Muslims tended to allocate more money to their ethnically in group members in a dictator game (Whitt Wilson, 2007). After Clinton s concession in 2008, democrats were more likely to behave generously toward people who supported their own preferred candidate than the people who supported other democratic candidate (Rand et al., 2009). Thus based on the phenomena of in group favoritism, perceivers who were single might perceived single target as more favorable than attached perceivers. Why do people hold so many stereotypical beliefs towards singles? The main reason seems to be an overemphasis on marriage. The majority of people assume that married people were happier, less lonely, and more mature (Morris, DePaulo, Hertel, Ritter, 2004). Western society maintains the ideology that marriage is the most important social relationship (Day, Kay, Holmes, Napier, 2011). In U.S., at least 90 percent of adults have been married at some point in their life (Connidis, 2001). Thus people who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The columbine shooting is the biggest school shooting in history. It was on April 20, 1999 when this devastating event happened. One of the things that made the shooting memorable is that the shooters shot Christians. The columbine shooting was an awful event. Twelve students and one teacher were killed. The shooters names were Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. There are many different theories on why they did it. They were bullied, they were different, and some say they did it so they would just be remembered. Klebold was hurting inside while Harris wanted to hurt people says Dave Cullen who did an investigation trying to understand why two high schoolers could do such a thing. Dylan and Eric were a part of a trench coat mafia. They both had loving families, and were raised good. They wanted the shooting to be the most deaths in United States history and it would ve been if their plan would have worked. • 8. The Movie The Killing Joke If comic book fans were asked to reveal their favorite Batman story of all time, The Killing Joke would undoubtedly receive a multitude of votes. For several reasons, Alan Moore s legendary story has withstood the test of time, most notably because it changed the very foundation of the Batman universe as it humanized The Jokerby giving him an origin story and shocked readers when events crippled Barbara Gordon. Thus, it comes as no surprise that a popular story like The Killing Joke is finally receiving the animated treatment you know, since not every great storyline can find its way into the live action cinematic universe. In any event, other storylines that have received the animated treatment, such as Under the Red Hood and Batman: Year One, have proven to be strong, loyal adaptations. Unfortunately, the same can t be said for The Killing Joke... In The Killing Joke, directed by Sam Liu (Batman: Year One, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths), Tara Strong stars as the voice of Batgirl, Batman s (Kevin Conroy) crime fighting partner. Batgirl vents her anger to Batman, which leads to an unexpected moment that essentially ruins their partnership. An ice age is just a period of time when the Earth s climate faces a constant and drastic decrease in temperature. Periods of colder temperature during an ice age have been called glaciations because they result in something being covered by glaciers or ice sheets. Shorter term, irregular intervals of warmer temperatures have been called interglacials , which is what we are currently living in today. Glaciation in the Pacific Cordillera of North America was known as, Fraser . The Central Rocky Mountain area s glaciation was called Pinedale , and glaciation in central North America was known as Wisconsinian . When the Ice Age began, the Rocky Mountain National Park area saw large ice sheets covering much of the land. Martin Luther King Jr. had a huge impact on the change of that time period due to his famous speech. But what did Dr. King do to make his speech so memorable? I have a dream was one line that stood out the most. That is because Dr. King made it into an anaphora. He also got the crowd s attention by starting his speech strong with some metaphors. One hundred years later, the life of the Negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. This metaphor is saying how society in 1963 limited blacks rights. It s a metaphor because there can t be real chains on discrimination, but what Dr. King means by this is that the Negroes still are being judged by the color of their skin and they aren t aloud to do anything about it. In paragraph 5, Martin Luther King uses another big metaphor. America has given the Negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked insufficient funds. America didn t really give the Negro people a check, but what he means by this is that society doesn t care about the Negroes and they won t help them out. African Americans in this time were very looked down upon because they were viewed as lesser people. The white people acted as if they were better than them and thought they shouldn t need to share public places or objects with the blacks. That is what this metaphor is trying to express. • 12. Crack Cocaine And Drug Addiction The drug crack cocaine is the crystalized form of cocaine that normally comes in a powder form. Smoking crack cocaine, which is way stronger than crack itself, permits the drug to reach the brain faster which brings a strong and almost instantaneous high that endures for approximately fifteen minutes. Because crack cocaineaddiction can develop quicker if the substance is smoked rather than inhaled, the user can develop an addiction after their first time even experiencing the drug. Crack cocainehas a high cost, while crack alone is traded at low cost. Once a crack cocaine user is addicted, the amount that they tend to use increases and the price also increases causes a direct struggle for funds in order to pay. The definitions of crack cocaine addictions can vary, but most incorporate the fact that as a staple norm the persistent use of a drug notwithstanding the presence of undesirable and damaging consequences and concerns for the user s well being, employment, financial stability, and relationships/associations. The significant component of crack cocaine is the users craving and loss of control, indicating the failure of the user to change their uncontrollable behavior. From doing research on this topic, I found that cocaine addiction was once assumed to be mainly mental in nature. In the book that we read in class, Fast Lives by Claire Sterk, she challenges the common misperceptions of crack cocaine and shows us through study that the common perceptions that we have

I bet everyone here has had a call where drugs of any kind where used in the wrong way, especially opioids. II.Motivation for Listening: But have you ever wondered how they get to the point where they need medical attention, and if this problem could have been prevented? III.Thesis Statement: Today, I will inform you on what opioid do to their victims and possible solutions to the problem. IV.Preview of Speech: I will identify the problem, discuss what opioid addictiondoes to people, and discuss possible solutions to the problem. V.Transition: First, I will identify the problem. Body I.First Main Point: Last month president Trump declared the opioid epidemic a public health emergency (Merica, 2017). This goes to show that the opioid problem is a huge deal in the United States and it should be treated so. a.Analysis: According to the Center for Disease Control, in Florida, there was over 3,200 deaths from opioid overdoses, and opioids account for the most overdose deaths in the United States ( Opioid Overdose, 2016). b.Analysis: Opioids are a class of drug that are medically used as very effective painkillers, like fentanyl and morphine, however, they are highly addictive and produce a feeling of euphoria ( Opioids ). This combination leads do a lot of abuse and dependency, where people take more than prescribed in order to feel better. People start off taking the opioid painkillers in order to not feel pain as prescribed by their doctors. Then, they end up getting addicted to them. There are also illicit opioids, such as heroin, that are also highly addictive and also lead to dependency and death ( Opioids ). These illicit versions are taken for recreational reasons, and are also often mixed with other drugs. The combination of taking an unregulated drug in conjunction with other drugs leads to a lot of overdoses. c.Transition: Next, I will talk about why people get addicted to opioids and what they do to the body. • 15. The Effects Of Haymarket Bombing On American Labor Movement In his book Death in the Haymarket, James Green recounted the American labor movement in the late 1800s. The main focus of Green s book was the bombing of Haymarket, which occurred on May 4 in 1886. Beginning as a peaceful protest promoting the eight hour work day, a bomb was thrown causing devastating consequences. The Haymarket bombing almost ended the labor movement altogether, with unjustified trials and fear implemented amongst all Americans. However, it is important to know that the Haymarket bombing is not just an isolated event. From wage cuts to people going on strike, labor unions starting up, to almost losing the labor movement altogether. The Haymarket bombing was the fuse to an event larger bomb known as the labor movement. Although the Haymarket bombing is an extremely important event, it should be seen in a much larger context rather than an isolated event. The Haymarket bombing was an important incident in America s history nevertheless, it falls under a much bigger category which is the labor movement. The labor movement was started because of the unjust ways that labor had on the working class in America during the 1800s. It first started out with wage cuts for the working class in America, which then led to an increasing amount of strikes. Then leading to the formation of labor unions, which is the people who were attending the meeting at Haymarket the day of the bombing. So if the labor movement had never started, then the bombing at Haymarket may have

  • 17. Class Diagram From The Unified Modeling Language ( Uml ) Class diagram. A class diagram in the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a type of static structure diagram that describes the structure of a system by showing the system s classes, their attributes, operations (or methods), and the relationships among objects. It is used both for generalconceptual modelling of the systematics of the application, and for detailed modeling translating the models into programming code. For data modeling class diagrams can also be used. The classes in a class diagram represent both the main elements, interactions in the application, and the classes to be programmed. Sequence diagram. Sequence diagrams are used to show the objects behavior in a use case by describing the objects and the messages which are passed. This diagram would provide a graphical representation of object interactions. These diagrams depicts how an actor, objects and components interact . Sequence diagrams show the flow of messages from one object to another, and as also correspond to the methods and events that are supported by an object. ER diagrams. An entity relationship model specifies the inter related things of interest in a distinct domain. An ER model is combination of entity types (which categorize the things) and specifies relationships that exist between epitome of those entity types. ER model is more commonly formed to represent things that a business needs to remember for performing business processes. Consequently, the ER model becomes an abstract data
  • 18. Old Major s Speech In Animal Farm By John Orwell One of the most interesting speeches in Animal Farm is the one made by Old Major shortly before his death. It is a speech that seeks to ensure that the animals on the farm come to realize their rights and to spur them towards rebelling against their human masters. A consequence of this speech is that it has considerable ramifications, since it ends up leading to the revolution against Jones, the owner of the farm and makes the animalstake control over the entire farm. Old Major s speech is an important aspect of the story because it is what sets up its plotline while at the same time ensuring that there is advancement of the recognition of the animals rights and the need for them to exercise these rights against tyrannical administrators. Old Major s speech helps the animals on the farm to ensure that they recognize their rights. The speech is reminiscent of Karl Marx s Communist Manifesto because it allows for an analysis of the lives that the animals are undergoing and creates proposals concerning the best way through which to improve their lives for the better. One of the most significant statements that Old Major makes is that the life of the animals is miserable, laborious, and short (Orwell 27). This is an important statement that shows the lives of animals essentially being in the service of their master rather than for themselves. A consequence is that Old Major seeks to show that the animals, as intelligent beings themselves, have a right to have happy lives,
  • 19. 1980s Technology Research Paper In this ESSAY I will be discussing all of the type s technology that was popular in certain eras, and what influenced in its popularity. Technology is the application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry, machinery and devices developed from scientific knowledge. The eras that I will cover are the 1980s, the 1990s and the 2000s. I have chosen these eras because I would like to learn about some of the technologies while I m researching for technologyin these eras, and to get a better understanding of how some of them influenced in the grate technologies we have today. In the amazing era of the 1980s some of the most popular technologies were the Sony Walkman, this was launched in Japan in 1979 and by 1986 the... Another piece of technology that was developed in the 2000s was of course face book and twitter, face book was first released and went active at the beginning of 2004 and this was that popular that till this day it still has over 350 million users. Face book is known as the one of the world s largest photo sharing site. Twitter is also another social networking site that allows people to let other people know what they are doing 24/7 and twitter was developed in march 2006 and was launched in July 2006 by Jack Dorsey and Evan Williams and stills receives 340 million tweets to this very day. And these just three of the many technologies that helped shape today as we know
  • 20. Klebold And Harris Shooting Research Paper On this day in 1999of April 20, two teenage gunmen kill 13 people in a shooting spree at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, south of Denver. At approximately 11:19 a.m., Dylan Klebold, 18, and Eric Harris, 17, dressed in trench coats, began shooting students outside the school before moving inside to continue their rampage. By 11:35 a.m., Klebold and Harris had killed 12 fellow students and a teacher and wounded another 23 people. Shortly after noon, the two teens turned their guns on themselves and committed suicide. This event made me feel safe around schools with uniforms because it makes it more unlikely for students to bring weapons. It shows that teens may be all able to get weapons easily making me aware of the people surrounding me. The crime was the worst school shooting in U.S. history (until 33 people, including the gunman, were killed in the Virginia Tech shooting on April 16, 2007)and prompted a national debate on gun control and school safety, as well as a major investigation to determine what motivated the teen gunmen. In the days quickly following the shootings, it was predicted that Klebold and Harris purposely chose jocks, minorities and Christians as their victims. At ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There was belief that Harris and Klebold committed the killings because they were members of a group of social outcasts called the Trenchcoat Mafia that was fascinated by Goth culture. Violent video games and music were also blamed for influencing the killers. However, none of these theories was ever proven. Columbine High School reopened in the fall of 1999, but the massacre left a scar on the Littleton community. Mark Manes, the man who sold a gun to Harris and bought him 100 rounds of explosives the day before the murders, was sentenced to six years in prison. In the aftermath of the Columbine shootings, many schools enacted zero tolerance rules regarding disruptive behavior and threats of violence from
  • 21. Cruelty In Kingsolver s The Poisonwood Bible The Theme of Cruelty in The Poisonwood Bible In Kingsolvers novel,The Poisonwood Bible, the characters are subjected to physical and physiological cruelty due to the actions and imperiousness of the perpetrator and antagonist Nathan Price. The Poisonwood Bible is told in a series of chronological accounts from the women of Price family in which the reader sees the cruelty and misfortune they endure in their everyday life in the Congo. In the end, cruelty pushes the Price family to the breaking point and the whole family decides to leave Nathan in the village as he loses what is little left of his sanity. Although Nathan s motives for forcing his family from 1950s urban America to the village Congo may be genuinely good, his ignorance... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Throughout the novel, Nathan exhibits cruelty towards his family and the villagers. Cruelty is a direct antonym of Love. Looking back to the Bible, Paul states in a letter to the: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love ( New International Version, 1 Corinthians 13:13). While Nathan may be spreading faith and hope, because of his cruelty, he is certainly not showing love, which according to scripture is the most important. Instead of loving his wife Orleanna, Nathan rebukes her many times for no reason and even acts out in physical cruelty by roughly batting Orleanna away as she tried to nurse his wounds. Nathan s actions are again hypocritical and go directly against the Bible says. Paul, in another letter, writes Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. (Ephesians 5:25). Ultimately Nathan is not able to convince any of the villagers to be baptized because he has not showed love and therefore not God to them. John, another apostle, states to a church that is struggling with false prophets: Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8). One may conclude from these verses that even though Nathan Price may have some knowledge of the Bible, he truly does not know God,
