The Eight Stages Of Genocide In Boyz N The Hood
enocide is a word known in every household as a horrendous event that unfortunately
plagues our world. Raphael Lemkin coined the term genocide, which roughly translates
to race killing, after the events of the Holocaust and created the Eight Stages of
Genocide, a system to determine if genocide is actually happening. Every American
knows about the Holocaust and the removal of Native Americans, but many do not know
about a genocidewhich occurred in California during the 90 s. The violence between
the different Los Angeles based gangs can be classified as a genocide because it follows
Lemkin s stages. Despite genocide often being associated with underdeveloped countries
and corrupt regimes, director John Singleton demonstrates how it can, and did, occur in a
society founded upon liberty through his film Boyz n the Hood.
First and foremost, genocide begins when separate classifications are established for a
group and said classifications are utilized to create a rift. An example of this is the 1994
Rwandan Genocide of the Tutsis by the Hutus because both are descendants of the Bantu
people, yet they began to detest each other after the Belgians colonized the region and
developed eugenics, which is the pseudo science responsible for beliefs of racial
superiority. The Belgians treated the Tutsis significantly better because they were
believed to be more caucasian. After the Belgians left, the previously harmonious groups
began fighting. When the Hutus gained control of
Human Activities Have Impacted Rivers Since The Birth Of...
Human activities have impacted rivers since the birth of civilization. For millennia, water
from rivers has been, used, re used, diverted, depleted, polluted, sold, flushed, fought for,
stolen, ruled, exchanged and more. To understand what affects the quality and quantity of
water for The Los Angeles River, we must understand the water sources that charge and
shape the River s watershed. Moreover, we must also understand the Los Angeles River
and its interaction with the environment. You see, as the River moves downgradient
(downhill), it interconnects with its environment, both man made (i.e., pavement,
bridges), geologic (i.e., soil, rocks), organic (i.e., tree roots, plants), pollutants and more.
At FoLAR, we believe that understanding... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, areas of higher elevation see a lot more rainfall than areas of lower
elevation. At higher elevations, the Los Angeles river tributaries are dominated by
natural flows, which are seasonally affected by rain and snowfall. On the lower
elevations, where most of the population lives, water to the River is supplemented by
effluent and urban runoff. The latter changes the profile of the river from a body of
water that is ephemeral, to a body of water that is permanent. Interestingly, because Los
Angeles County depends heavily on imported water, water from the Colorado River and
the Eastern Sierra Nevada indirectly ends up being part of the Los Angeles River. In the
name of conquering the west, humans in the Western United States have long exerted
control of bodies of water, the Los Angeles River is yet another example. Natural water
resources for the River during rainy months flow from the following mountain ranges:
Santa Susana Mountains, the Verdugo Hills, and the Northern side of the Santa Monica
Mountains. During dry months, effluents dominate the river in the coastal plane.
Recycled water is tertiary treated effluents that go through at least three stages of
purification to remove more than 99 percent of all the impurities to produce an effluent
of almost drinking water quality. The water reclamation plants that provide effluent to the

Types Of State And Independent Schools

Foundation and trust schools
Community schools
Specialist schools
Independent schools
Academies
Free schools
Sixth form colleges
Single sex schools
Faith schools
Grammar schools
Primary and secondary schools 1.2Describe the characteristics of the different types of
schools in relation to educational stage(s) and school governance
Foundation and trust schools Foundation schools are owned by their own governing
body. They confirm the admission policy with the help of the local education authority.
The school is owned by the governing body or a charity organisation, they will also own
the land and the buildings of the school. A trust school is similar to a foundation school
but they create a charity trust with an external partner E.g. A business. To become a trust
school, it will need to be accepted by the governing body whilst consulting parents.
Community schools They are owned by the local authority which supports the school
creating associations with the local community and also offering support services. The
local authority also creates the admission policy and helps develop the facilities of the
school for groups such as adult classes.
Specialist schools These are mainly secondary schools who showcase their status for one
or two subjects that they specialise in. Applying for this status allows them to receive
more funding from the government.
Missed Deadline Essay
For most of my professional career, I have worked to produce newsletters and
newspapers that had regular deadlines for monthly, weekly, or twice weekly publication.
I can readily perform routine work on or ahead of schedule, but in the news business so
many unanticipated issues arise, and they aren t always routine. In my drive to always
take extra steps to make things better, the deadlinessuddenly loom oppressively.
However, through the years I ve learned that when I have a narrow window for getting
workdone, I can t force myself to take those extra steps. It s easy for me to focus on
what I m not doing, what I m sacrificing to make the deadline, but the customer may

The team s frustration was tempered somewhat when she would work late on some
other days, and the team also was sympathetic to the fact that she and her family
members suffered from numerous health issues. Of course, I and others believed it
excessive when she took more than a month off because of her teenage daughter s
fractured toe, especially when it came shortly after I had taken a total of four days off
after the birth of my child, and a co worker had taken five days off after the death of a
parent. However, her attendance record had little bearing on anyone else s time off.
UItimately, I am thankful that office and most other offices I ve worked in have been
were largely free of drama and complaining. I ve tried to live by that standard, both in
and out of work, and I encourage others to do so as well. When the colleague was out
of the office during work hours, I could take pride in the fact that I have an excellent
attendance record, that I take steps to mitigate my absence during appointments,
illness, or vacation, and that I perform my job duties exceptionally. What someone else
does is out of my control. I made sure I prioritized work I had to do with the particular
co worker so an absence wouldn t affect me, and I tried to lean on other co workers for
certain tasks. And also patently listened to venting from co workers, especially those
most burdened by the co worker s attendance. I lent a

Christianity Restrictive Essay
Is Christianity considered restrictive? Religion is known for the service or worship of a
higher being. Many forms of worship have been developed throughout the years, but the
most prominent religion that will be focused on is Christianity. This particular religion is
very prevalent in the world with 32% of the entire world s population believing in it
(Fairchild 1). Christianityhas the Ten Commandments, which are referred to as the
divine rules of god that guide individuals. The most important goal of this religionare to
become more like God in pure honesty and holiness. However, there are certain
conditions that must be dutifully fulfilled in order to achieve this state. In this essay, the
restrictions and rules of Christianity will be... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Bible, same sex relationships are considered forbidden or a taboo. As stated in
Leviticus 18:22, You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination (
Leviticus 18:22 1). The second question is why is there a belief in only one God? This
is a restrictive way of thinking as evident in the multitude of biblical passages referring
to only one God. Another question that can be discussed is what are the strict rituals of
worship for this religion? There are certain rules that must be obeyed when celebrating
the holidays honoring God and his son. For example, on Good Friday, people can t eat
meat because it is the day Jesus died. If there is enough evidence to support the
assumption that Christianity is restrictive than, it can be confirmed that this religion
doesn t provide as much freedom as one would believe.

Paul s Case by Willa Cather
Some say money changes you, some say money changes the people around and others
say money changes everyone. In Willa Cather s Paul s Case , Paul is a teenage misfit
who lives in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. The love of money is put on such a high
pedestal that it consumes Paul and the way which he lives. Everything he does is
influenced by his desire for wealth. His love for theater and art becomes an addiction
and drive him to steal money and retreat to New York. Here, Paul experiences the fast
life as he dines and shops expensively. Paul then realizes he is the victim of his own
demise and takes his own life. Paul s obsession with theater, luxury and the dystopian
society he lives in are the reasons for his isolation and loss of life. Willa Catherprovides
insights to how Paul wants to feel important in his life instead of being an outsider in
society. In his job, Paul works as an usher in Carnegie Hall. The narrator states, As the
house filled, he grew more and more vivacious and animated, and the color came to his
cheeks and lips. It was very much as though this were a great reception and Paul were
the host. (Cather 13). The narrator shows the reader how Paul feels more important as
he helps people in the theater. It is as if the sight of people filling the room and
needing Paul s help breathes life into Paul. Author E.K. Brown writes, He felt the pull of
New York...to feel himself in the center of the plot of all dreams ... (Brown 1). Brown

Swot Analysis Of Bellamys
Introduction
Bellamy s Australia (hereinafter Bellamy s) is a public company producing organic
infant formula and baby food in the Australian food and beverage industry. In order to
assess the current position of Bellamy s, a comprehensive SWOT analysis was
undertaken. Resulting from this, two strategies are presented assist Bellamy s in
maintaining advantages over its competitors.
SWOT Analysis
In order to comprehensively describe the internal and external environment which
Bellamy s experiences, a SWOT analysis was undertaken. As a result of this, two
strengths, two weaknesses, two opportunities and two threats were identified.
The first strength identified for Bellamy s was their ability to maintain the completed
global distribution. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The availability of a trusted organic brand creates value for customers, who associate it
with food safety, particularly among Chinese buyers (Storm, 2017), and, for
shareholders, the reputation of the brand induces greater profitability. With their unique
selling point of certified organic , Bellamy s can be confident that their strength is rare
as organic baby formula is comparatively uncommon across all markets. In addition, as
the organic certification requires a minimum of three years of close assessment, as well
as ongoing annual audits (Bellamy s), for another firm to replicate this strength would
be prohibitively expensive. Finally, as Bellamy s exploits this strength, as evidenced by
their advertising campaigns and website material, this is clearly a core competence for
Bellamy s.
One main weakness of Bellamy s is their ability to market to major target segments.
Bellamy s continued over focus on supplying to the Asian market, specifically China who
accounted for approximately 25% of Bellamy s total revenue in FY16 (Bellamy s, 2016),
has resulted in an unstable and unbalanced distribution to each country segment. As
China is Bellamy s second largest market following Australia, their over reliance on
supplying to them has resulted in domestic Australian consumers being irate as they are
limited to 1 2 tins each (The Daily Telegraph, 2015). This constant focus on meeting
international, rather than local, demand fuels a greater reputational loss in
Parental Intrusion in Youth Sports Essay
Running Head: PARENTAL INTRUSION IN YOUTH SPORTS
PARENTAL INTRUSTION IN YOUTH SPORTS

PARENTAL INTRUSION Parental intrusion in youth sports is nothing new. There will
always be adults who act inappropriately or disrupt the league. A lot of the problems lie
with adults who use youth sports to gratify their own egos, adults who can t deal with
the emotional ups and downs of youth sports and there are even those who see the
time and money spent on their child as an investment. There are a lot of reasons for out

However, when we talk about youth sports, our main concern is with providing players
with a positive, character building experience. Winning is not the only acceptable
outcome for youth players, and coaches need to understand this principle. With a winning
philosophy young athletes may lose out on opportunities to develop their skills, to enjoy
participation, and to grow socially and emotionally. Well informed coaches realize that
success is not equivalent to winning games, and failure is not the same as losing.
(Enhancing Coach Parent Relationships in Youth Sports, 15)
Sadly, dealing with unreasonable, loud, obnoxious parents can be the most challenging
part of coaching. Many coaches just want to make a difference in young lives instead
of having to deal with the extra baggage of a high strung parent. If a parent does not
like what you are doing as a coach, then there is no reason that parent can t become a
coach. One of the most difficult problems in coaching youth sports is dealing with an
irate parent, but this problem can be diminished by holding parent meetings before and
during the season. (Put Em In Coach, 33)
So when it comes to specifically handling those situations where parents become unruly,
whether it is to the kids, coaches, or to the other parents,

The Playboy Of The Western World
The Playboy of the Western World by John Millington is a play that conveys the theme
of social conventions in a village in Ireland around the 1900s. I had the pleasure of
seeing the play The Playboy of the Western World in the Alley Theatre on October the
9th. The theme of The Playboy of the Western World was social conventions, all of the
character had a certain criteria on who was accepted by their community. The play
sends a message of the things people will do to be accepted in their society. Christy
Mahon lied to Pegen and the other villagers about murdering his father, Old Mahon, so
they would accept him and give him refuge. Christy wanted Pegen to like him and the lie

Her father had been planning to marry her to Shawn Keogh but she disapproved of
him because of his feared everything. Her main motive is to get married to someone
who will protect her from any type of danger. She does not accept Shawn because he is
not seen as courageous while Christy does because of his act of killing his father. The
social conventions are imposed by her way of thinking as well as the whole village
who see courageous act of core to be admired instead of being punished. The antagonist
of the play was Christy Mahon, he came into the village to seek somewhere to hide
because he had killed his father or so he led the villagers to believe. His main motive
was to have the approval of Pegen so they could get married. Pegen wanted someone
who would protect her, she saw any type of rebellion as praiseworthy. Christy s
motives are connected to the theme because he was pretending to be a killer so that
Pegeen would be in awe of him and see his act of courage. Primary conflict between the
protagonists and antagonist is Christy wants to be admired by Pegeen because she
sees his act as a quality she wants in a man. He lies to everyone by stating he killed his
own father which resulted in Pegeen s interest towards him. Christy however, has not
done this murdering act he has led Pegeen and the other villagers to believe. He does not

Compare And Contrast City And City Life
There comes a time in everyone s life when we ask ourselves the age old question
which has tormented so many, Should I live in the city or in the country? Imagine
deciding whether to live in just one specific area for the rest of your life. Many would
argue that the hectic lifestyle that a big city provides clearly places it ahead of a
suburban landscape. Others, however, would claim that the serene and restful
environment of the countryside is much more satisfying than the citycould ever be. It is
important to be clear that not all vast cities are the same, and it goes the same way for
the suburban regions of America. The city and country lifestyleare two distinct types of
living, each with their own pros and cons that may overlap at times. Between these two,
there are numerous differences when looking at their environment, distinct social
opportunities, and contrastive cost of living. One way or another, all the facts will be
laid down, and a deeper insight into why people settle in either the city or the suburbs
shall become apparent.
At first glance, it is obvious that there are many pros and cons when it comes to
deciding a lifestyle in either one of these surroundings, so careful assessment of all
details are required to make the ideal decision for what a future resident might expect.
To start off, it would seem that the majority of city apartments can be quite affordable in
a rent controlled zone and are much more practical for poor families, or even

The Prevalence Of Manifestations Of Falciparum Malaria
Essay
Objectives: The aim of this study is to find out the prevalence of neurological
manifestations of falciparum malaria and the outcome of falciparum malaria in general
and of neurological involvement of falciparum malaria in particular.
Materials and Methods:
A prospective cross sectional hospital based study of 125 adult falciparum malaria
patients using simple, direct, standardized questionnaire including history, lab
investigations and neurological examination from January to December 2014.
Results:
The commonest age group affected was 15 30 years (62.4%). 48.6% presented with
neurological manifestations on admission. Altered sensorium was the most frequent
neurological manifestation, followed by convulsions and hiccups. The mortality rate was
very high with neurological manifestations. Case fatality rate was highest with
convulsion. Perception about neurological manifestation was poor among tribal. Health
care providers also failed to diagnose on initial visit.
Conclusion:
Falciperum malaria with neurological involvement is associated with increased mortality.
By documenting different neurological patterns of falciparum malaria mortality and
morbidity rates can be reduced by early diagnosis and management. Tribals and health
personnel should be trained to make them aware of the different neurological
presentations of this disabling disease.
Key words:
Falciparum malaria, neurological complications, mortality.

  • 2. The Eight Stages Of Genocide In Boyz N The Hood enocide is a word known in every household as a horrendous event that unfortunately plagues our world. Raphael Lemkin coined the term genocide, which roughly translates to race killing, after the events of the Holocaust and created the Eight Stages of Genocide, a system to determine if genocide is actually happening. Every American knows about the Holocaust and the removal of Native Americans, but many do not know about a genocidewhich occurred in California during the 90 s. The violence between the different Los Angeles based gangs can be classified as a genocide because it follows Lemkin s stages. Despite genocide often being associated with underdeveloped countries and corrupt regimes, director John Singleton demonstrates how it can, and did, occur in a society founded upon liberty through his film Boyz n the Hood. First and foremost, genocide begins when separate classifications are established for a group and said classifications are utilized to create a rift. An example of this is the 1994 Rwandan Genocide of the Tutsis by the Hutus because both are descendants of the Bantu people, yet they began to detest each other after the Belgians colonized the region and developed eugenics, which is the pseudo science responsible for beliefs of racial superiority. The Belgians treated the Tutsis significantly better because they were believed to be more caucasian. After the Belgians left, the previously harmonious groups began fighting. When the Hutus gained control of
  • 3. Human Activities Have Impacted Rivers Since The Birth Of... Human activities have impacted rivers since the birth of civilization. For millennia, water from rivers has been, used, re used, diverted, depleted, polluted, sold, flushed, fought for, stolen, ruled, exchanged and more. To understand what affects the quality and quantity of water for The Los Angeles River, we must understand the water sources that charge and shape the River s watershed. Moreover, we must also understand the Los Angeles River and its interaction with the environment. You see, as the River moves downgradient (downhill), it interconnects with its environment, both man made (i.e., pavement, bridges), geologic (i.e., soil, rocks), organic (i.e., tree roots, plants), pollutants and more. At FoLAR, we believe that understanding... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In other words, areas of higher elevation see a lot more rainfall than areas of lower elevation. At higher elevations, the Los Angeles river tributaries are dominated by natural flows, which are seasonally affected by rain and snowfall. On the lower elevations, where most of the population lives, water to the River is supplemented by effluent and urban runoff. The latter changes the profile of the river from a body of water that is ephemeral, to a body of water that is permanent. Interestingly, because Los Angeles County depends heavily on imported water, water from the Colorado River and the Eastern Sierra Nevada indirectly ends up being part of the Los Angeles River. In the name of conquering the west, humans in the Western United States have long exerted control of bodies of water, the Los Angeles River is yet another example. Natural water resources for the River during rainy months flow from the following mountain ranges: Santa Susana Mountains, the Verdugo Hills, and the Northern side of the Santa Monica Mountains. During dry months, effluents dominate the river in the coastal plane. Recycled water is tertiary treated effluents that go through at least three stages of purification to remove more than 99 percent of all the impurities to produce an effluent of almost drinking water quality. The water reclamation plants that provide effluent to the River
  • 4. Types Of State And Independent Schools Schools as organisations 1.1Identify the main types of state and independent schools Foundation and trust schools Community schools Specialist schools Independent schools Academies Free schools Sixth form colleges Single sex schools Faith schools Grammar schools Primary and secondary schools 1.2Describe the characteristics of the different types of schools in relation to educational stage(s) and school governance Foundation and trust schools Foundation schools are owned by their own governing body. They confirm the admission policy with the help of the local education authority. The school is owned by the governing body or a charity organisation, they will also own the land and the buildings of the school. A trust school is similar to a foundation school but they create a charity trust with an external partner E.g. A business. To become a trust school, it will need to be accepted by the governing body whilst consulting parents. Community schools They are owned by the local authority which supports the school creating associations with the local community and also offering support services. The local authority also creates the admission policy and helps develop the facilities of the school for groups such as adult classes. Specialist schools These are mainly secondary schools who showcase their status for one or two subjects that they specialise in. Applying for this status allows them to receive more funding from the government.
  • 5. Missed Deadline Essay For most of my professional career, I have worked to produce newsletters and newspapers that had regular deadlines for monthly, weekly, or twice weekly publication. I can readily perform routine work on or ahead of schedule, but in the news business so many unanticipated issues arise, and they aren t always routine. In my drive to always take extra steps to make things better, the deadlinessuddenly loom oppressively. However, through the years I ve learned that when I have a narrow window for getting workdone, I can t force myself to take those extra steps. The team s frustration was tempered somewhat when she would work late on some other days, and the team also was sympathetic to the fact that she and her family members suffered from numerous health issues. Of course, I and others believed it excessive when she took more than a month off because of her teenage daughter s fractured toe, especially when it came shortly after I had taken a total of four days off after the birth of my child, and a co worker had taken five days off after the death of a parent. However, her attendance record had little bearing on anyone else s time off. UItimately, I am thankful that office and most other offices I ve worked in have been were largely free of drama and complaining. I ve tried to live by that standard, both in and out of work, and I encourage others to do so as well. When the colleague was out of the office during work hours, I could take pride in the fact that I have an excellent attendance record, that I take steps to mitigate my absence during appointments, illness, or vacation, and that I perform my job duties exceptionally. What someone else does is out of my control. I made sure I prioritized work I had to do with the particular co worker so an absence wouldn t affect me, and I tried to lean on other co workers for certain tasks. And also patently listened to venting from co workers, especially those most burdened by the co worker s attendance. I lent a

Many forms of worship have been developed throughout the years, but the most prominent religion that will be focused on is Christianity. This particular religion is very prevalent in the world with 32% of the entire world s population believing in it (Fairchild 1). Christianityhas the Ten Commandments, which are referred to as the divine rules of god that guide individuals. As stated in Leviticus 18:22, You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination ( Leviticus 18:22 1). The second question is why is there a belief in only one God? This is a restrictive way of thinking as evident in the multitude of biblical passages referring to only one God. Another question that can be discussed is what are the strict rituals of worship for this religion? There are certain rules that must be obeyed when celebrating the holidays honoring God and his son. For example, on Good Friday, people can t eat meat because it is the day Jesus died. If there is enough evidence to support the assumption that Christianity is restrictive than, it can be confirmed that this religion doesn t provide as much freedom as one would believe. • 8. Paul s Case by Willa Cather Some say money changes you, some say money changes the people around and others say money changes everyone. In Willa Cather s Paul s Case , Paul is a teenage misfit who lives in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. The love of money is put on such a high pedestal that it consumes Paul and the way which he lives. Everything he does is influenced by his desire for wealth. His love for theater and art becomes an addiction and drive him to steal money and retreat to New York. Here, Paul experiences the fast life as he dines and shops expensively. Paul then realizes he is the victim of his own demise and takes his own life. Paul s obsession with theater, luxury and the dystopian society he lives in are the reasons for his isolation and loss of life. Willa Catherprovides insights to how Paul wants to feel important in his life instead of being an outsider in society. In his job, Paul works as an usher in Carnegie Hall. The narrator states, As the house filled, he grew more and more vivacious and animated, and the color came to his cheeks and lips. It was very much as though this were a great reception and Paul were the host. (Cather 13). The narrator shows the reader how Paul feels more important as he helps people in the theater. It is as if the sight of people filling the room and needing Paul s help breathes life into Paul. Author E.K. Brown writes, He felt the pull of New York...to feel himself in the center of the plot of all dreams ... (Brown 1). Brown uses this

Swot Analysis Of Bellamys Introduction Bellamy s Australia (hereinafter Bellamy s) is a public company producing organic infant formula and baby food in the Australian food and beverage industry. In order to assess the current position of Bellamy s, a comprehensive SWOT analysis was undertaken. Resulting from this, two strategies are presented assist Bellamy s in maintaining advantages over its competitors. SWOT Analysis In order to comprehensively describe the internal and external environment which Bellamy s experiences, a SWOT analysis was undertaken. As a result of this, two strengths, two weaknesses, two opportunities and two threats were identified. The first strength identified for Bellamy s was their ability to maintain the completed global distribution. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The availability of a trusted organic brand creates value for customers, who associate it with food safety, particularly among Chinese buyers (Storm, 2017), and, for shareholders, the reputation of the brand induces greater profitability. With their unique selling point of certified organic , Bellamy s can be confident that their strength is rare as organic baby formula is comparatively uncommon across all markets. In addition, as the organic certification requires a minimum of three years of close assessment, as well as ongoing annual audits (Bellamy s), for another firm to replicate this strength would be prohibitively expensive. Finally, as Bellamy s exploits this strength, as evidenced by their advertising campaigns and website material, this is clearly a core competence for Bellamy s. One main weakness of Bellamy s is their ability to market to major target segments. Bellamy s continued over focus on supplying to the Asian market, specifically China who accounted for approximately 25% of Bellamy s total revenue in FY16 (Bellamy s, 2016), has resulted in an unstable and unbalanced distribution to each country segment. As China is Bellamy s second largest market following Australia, their over reliance on supplying to them has resulted in domestic Australian consumers being irate as they are limited to 1 2 tins each (The Daily Telegraph, 2015). This constant focus on meeting international, rather than local, demand fuels a greater reputational loss in

Parental Intrusion in Youth Sports Essay Running Head: PARENTAL INTRUSION IN YOUTH SPORTS PARENTAL INTRUSTION IN YOUTH SPORTS STEVEN J MAYNOR WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY PARENTAL INTRUSION Parental intrusion in youth sports is nothing new. There will always be adults who act inappropriately or disrupt the league. A lot of the problems lie with adults who use youth sports to gratify their own egos, adults who can t deal with the emotional ups and downs of youth sports and there are even those who see the time and money spent on their child as an investment. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, when we talk about youth sports, our main concern is with providing players with a positive, character building experience. Winning is not the only acceptable outcome for youth players, and coaches need to understand this principle. With a winning philosophy young athletes may lose out on opportunities to develop their skills, to enjoy participation, and to grow socially and emotionally. Well informed coaches realize that success is not equivalent to winning games, and failure is not the same as losing. (Enhancing Coach Parent Relationships in Youth Sports, 15) Sadly, dealing with unreasonable, loud, obnoxious parents can be the most challenging part of coaching. Many coaches just want to make a difference in young lives instead of having to deal with the extra baggage of a high strung parent. If a parent does not like what you are doing as a coach, then there is no reason that parent can t become a coach. One of the most difficult problems in coaching youth sports is dealing with an irate parent, but this problem can be diminished by holding parent meetings before and during the season. (Put Em In Coach, 33) So when it comes to specifically handling those situations where parents become unruly, whether it is to the kids, coaches, or to the other parents,

I had the pleasure of seeing the play The Playboy of the Western World in the Alley Theatre on October the 9th. There is to date no evidence of nuclear explosions prior to 1945. Instead, the earliest reference to prehistoric nuclear warfare appears to be the Soviet mathematician and ethnologist Matest M. Agrest, who argued in 1959 that Sodom and Gomorrah had been destroyed by nuclear bombs from alien spaceships. This claim was brought to the attention of the other side of the Iron Curtain through The Morning of the Magicians (1960), a French work by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier which outlined one of the earliest complete (nonfiction) versions of the modern ancient astronaut t heory (see my eBook The Origin of the Space Gods) and, on page 122 of the 1963 English edition, offered outlandish claims about ancient nuclear warfare. We will examine their specific claims about ancient India momentarily, but first we turn to the other alleged prehistoric bomb blast the one from the Bible.
