Introduction: By the end of 1962 the British rock had  started with groups like  the beatles . The Beatles and other beat groups: the Searchers and the Hollies had great popularity in Britain. In 1962 The Rolling Stone started as one of a number of groups showing blues influence.
The Beatles They had American influences: soul music, rhythm, blues and surf music. In 1964 the beatles with “I want to hold your hand” was the band’s first 1 hit. On the billboard Hot 100,  it was the British invasion of the American music chart.
British blues boom In parallel with beat music in the 1960s in Britain, there were The Rolling Stone, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin… they developed a distinctive and influential style dominated by electric guitar – blues rock.
British psychedelia British pshychedelia emerged during the mid 1960s, influenced by psychedelic culture and attempted to replicate and enhance the mind-altering experiences of hallucinogenic drugs. Some British artists: Eric Burdon, The Who, Cream and the Beatles. Sometimes British pshycedelic bands never published their music and only appeared in live concerts.
Folk music In the folk music there were singer-songwritters that wrote and performed their own music such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen…
Surf rock Most surf bands were formed in the south California area. The most famous bands were the Beach Boys, The Champs, The Atlantics.
Garage Rock It Was a form of amateur rock music from North America. It was rehearsed in a suburban family garage. Garage rock songs revolved around the traumas of high school love. The most famous were: The Kingsmen, Rivieras.
