WHAT IS A MODERN SOCIETY
• Looking at the growing population, increasing the building height vertically is the need of the hour.
• Wherever it is feasible the ground coverage must be minimum.
• A modern society demands: schools, offices, playgrounds, recreational spaces, transportation, and other
important amenities.

WHAT IS SELF-HEALING CONCRETE
• Concrete is the most often used construction material. Fractures are
inevitable because concrete is fragile in tension yet strong in
compression. When concrete cracks form, the concrete's lifespan
may be diminished.
• Microcracks and pores in concrete are unwelcome because they
provide an open route for water and other hazardous elements to
enter, resulting in reinforcement corrosion and a decrease in the
concrete's strength and durability.
• Self-Healing Concrete is a viable method for healing concrete
cracks on its own.
• Because it is bio-based, ecologically friendly, cost-effective, and
long-lasting, this bacterial remediation method surpasses others
How does Self Healing Concrete works
WHAT IS GREEN CONCRETE
• Manufactured from environmentally friendly waste
materials.
• It incorporates at least one waste component, such as
demolition waste aggregate, recycled concrete aggregate,
blast furnace slag, manufactured sand, glass aggregate,
and fly ash.
• The goal is to create a form of concrete that incorporates
as many recycled elements as possible and leaves the
smallest carbon footprint possible.
• Green concrete is cost-effective to produce since it is
built entirely of recycled materials and lowers energy
use while enhancing strength and durability.

better as compared to MUD
STRUCTURES.
• It is very weak in shear, tension and compression.
• Separation of walls at corner and junctions takes place easily
under ground shaking
• After the walls fail either due to bending or shearing in
combination with the compressive loads, the whole house
crashes down
• Extensive damage was observed during earthquake especially
if it occurs after a rainfall
