Multiple performance indicators as standard to assess and quantify the ecological condition of a site This dissertation proposes using multiple ecological landscape indicators assigned weight and rate values as a standardized index to consistently assess and measure the ecological condition of sites. The index was tested on a randomly selected site. 44 indicators representing measurable site attributes were used to capture both qualitative and quantitative information in a practical way. The index provides a numeric score to determine a site's ecological value, which can differ from a developer's communicated value. Reliable scientific data from the index are proposed to be used for integrated standard audit reports to determine and address environmental risk.
