This workshop aims to teach participants how to become self-motivated by taking control of their thoughts and actions. It explains that being self-motivated allows people to feel in control of their success instead of relying on others for motivation. The workshop teaches that everyone can learn to be motivated by focusing on the desired outcomes of tasks rather than seeing them as unpleasant. It encourages participants to replace excuses with positive thinking and to view their brain like a computer that will run whatever programs they input through their words. The workshop provides strategies for setting goals and making commitments to develop new habits over three weeks in order to gain self-motivation.

What stops you from going after what you want?
When a project or activity is going to be difficult (or maybe even a little scary) many of us will opt to avoid the challenge and choose instead to remain inside our comfort zones. In fact, our comfort zone gets straight to work rationalizing our decision to delay, avoid or stall. This really requires no effort at all, especially if we believe we may not succeed at the specific activity. But when did we start avoiding potential success like that? When did we start subscribing to doubt? As young children, if we gave up so easily we would never have learned to walk or talk; ride a bike or learn to read, heck even learn to use the potty. So obviously this pattern of hesitancy and doubt is an acquired skill. One that can be altered with a little decisive action.

NLP WORKSHOP for the TRAINING OF TRAINERS Neuro-Linguistic Programme 10th June2019-Linguistic Programming is a model about human behavior. It is not a theory because a theory must be proved. On the other hand a model merely has to be tested and if the model yields consistent results; it qualifies as a working model.
Every model is based on pre-suppositions which are assumed to be true. The presuppositions
for any given model are fine tuned till such time that the model yields
consistent results.
1. Everyone lives in and operates from his/her own unique model of the world.
2. People always make the best choices available to them, given their unique model of the world and the situation.
3. There is a desirable solution/possible outcome to every problem.
4. Each person is equipped with everything he/she needs to solve his/her
problems.
5. It is important to separate and distinguish a person from his/her behavior.
When someone is learning something new, it is useful to evaluate the
behaviors while holding constant a positive evaluation of self.
6. All behaviors that people exhibit are motivated by a positive intention or purpose.
Motivation is one of the most spoken words in our daily lives. Everyone wants to feel more motivated and full of energy to achieve their goals and dreams, whether personal or professional.
Push past your limitations of your 'Acquired Self' to discover your 'Authentic Self; achieve your full potential and become the Leader you were destined to be
How do you know when you're most motivated? It's not always easy to tell. But when you know, you can use it for some powerful physical activity-related behaviors!

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Unsuccessful people often have good reasons for not hitting
their goals: Work Challenges, Children to Care For, etc.
Successful people use those same reasons as their
motivation:
I can not give up, or I will be stuck in this dead end job forever!
I have to study harder so that I can properly care for my
children!
