The explosive growth in the popularity of mobile devices and growth in their powerful features has led to a sharp rise in the usage of smartphones, tablets and mobile POS devices in the corporate world. Apart from the mobility advantage, these devices have become more efficient to offer better business growth and increased networking advantage to bring better employee productivity at the workplace. As the market for these devices continues to develop at an exponential rate, concerns about the safety of the sensitive corporate data present on mobile device, in transit or at rest also grow proportionately as the tracking the data, relying on its integrity becomes increasingly challenging. Further enforcing corporate governance, complying with local laws and trans-border regulations also pose a serious challenge in this case. Hence a technical method to secure, monitor, manage and supports mobile devices deployed across mobile operators, service providers and enterprises is need of the hour which has led to the development of Mobile Device Management(MDM).

MANAGE DEVICES AND APPS FROM THE CLOUD
With the proliferation of mobile devices in the workplace, employees can, and do, work from just about anywhere. To stay productive, this mobile workforce demands consistent access to corporate resources and data from any location on any device. This trend has introduced significant challenges for IT administrators who want to enable enterprise mobility while ensuring that corporate resources are protected from unauthorized access.
Leveraging Microsoft Intune, you can deliver application and device management completely from the cloud, or on-premises through integration with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, all via a single management console.
Microsoft has also incorporated manageability and data protection directly into the Intune-managed Office mobile apps to help maximize productivity while providing the flexibility to extend these same management capabilities to your existing line-of-business apps through the Intune App Wrapping Tool.
Intune is included as part of Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility Suite, the most cost-effective way to leverage Microsoft’s enterprise mobility cloud services for all of your employees.

Enterprise Mobility Management and its Challenges - Phdassistance.comPhD Assistance
In recent years, it is observed that there are various Management schemes for managing the devices, data etc. One of the most popular schemes is Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM). This scheme includes several mobile solutions including the solutions for mobile data to voice plans and mobile applications. It has been identified that enterprise management includes applications such as data security, scalability, and regular up-gradation since these applications require device management. Thus it has been asserted that EMM can be envisioned as an inseparable part of the Enterprise mobility ecosystem (Dikhit, 2015). The widespread use of EMM has been a driving force for the enterprises to employ EMM. Mainly, EMM has been found to be associated with aspects such as security and management of data, mobile applications and the devices that are employed.

The Definitive Guide to Implementing Shift Left Testing in QARapidValue
In today's digital world, even though most of the projects are following the Agile methodology, often testers might not get enough time to quantify the problem scope and test the product effectively. Even if a sprint lasts for two weeks, the QA team would get the complete functionality for testing, only two or three days before the sprint completion. Eventually, the QA team would have to rush the testing, struggle for test completion and even end up with improper test coverage and bugs being leaked into production. So the testing phase is often considered as a bottleneck for the release by the management.
Studies done by analysts suggest that the maximum number of defects occur during the requirement
and design phase of the software development life cycle. More than half of the defects occur during the
requirement and design phase of the SDLC, i.e 56% of the total defects. Out of this 56%, 23% occurs during the design phase, 7% in the development phase and 10% defects emerge during the other phases. 2019 witnessed test automation going mainstream with 44% of IT organizations automating more than 50% of
all testing and these figures are expected to go up in the upcoming years. Thus it becomes highly necessary to step up the testing game and ensure that it is done quite efficiently and this is where Shift Left Testing comes into play. Detecting defects early in the software development cycle can prove to be very crucial in regards to cost and efficiency.
This whitepaper discusses how shift left testing could help you reimagine the entire QA testing process.
Data Seeding via Parameterized API RequestsRapidValue
A quick guide on how to data seed via parameterized API requests. Parameterization is very important for automation testing. It helps you to iterate on input data with multiple data sets that make your scripts reusable and maintainable. In few scenarios, you can still manage with hard coded request but the same approach will not work out where sheer count of combinations is to be validated. By implementing the right solution, you can keep your code base and test data size at ideal range and still savor the benefits of optimal coverage.
How to Perform Memory Leak Test Using ValgrindRapidValue
Recently we came across a performance issue in our network test device wherein the device performance was comparatively getting slower when a particular module of the application was being load tested. We also observed unexpected application behaviors and application termination as well and while debugging the code, it was identified that the root cause was a memory leak. Fixing the memory leak resulted in better performance. A memory leak is the loss of available memory when a program fails to return memory that it has obtained for temporary use. For a program that is frequently opened or for the one that runs continuously, even a very small memory leak can eventually cause the program to terminate. A memory leak is the result of a programming bug and hence it is very important to test it during the development phase. Therefore it is important to start considering memory leak testing as part of QA testing to avoid any such memory-related issues, which could cause production disruptions. This blog post sheds light on performing a memory leak test using Valgrind and the other various options that are available in the market.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
2. Mobile Device Management Strategy (MDM)
•MDM strategy creates a holistic view in managing devices and applications used by the enterprise that will allow IT teams to extend their ‘wired’ security strategy and policies to all devices, wherever they happen to be.
•The strategy will be directed to employ user-defined ‘rules’ mapped to specific policies that cost-effectively automate vital management and control tasks such as device configuration, asset management, software updates, backup/restore.
•Using Mobile Iron MDM solution, RapidValue will wrap mobile applications with the desired agents of MDM to support the below set of features through strong governance.
Over-the-air (OTA) Configuration
Troubleshooting & Reporting
Monitoring and Alerts
Integration Management
Internal App Store
Remote Software Distribution and Updates
Blacklist / Whitelist Applications
Manage Applications through Enterprise App Store (App Restore / Version Control)
MDM
MAM
3. Mobile Device Management Strategy (MDM)
•Defining Strong IT policies – Define and enforce policies in a granular, flexible way – e.g. apply different policies to different users and groups, according to their needs. Create mobile-specific policies that clearly define, among other things:
oHow the device will be deployed?
oWhat data will be accessible by mobile workers?
oWho can do what on company networks?
oWhat procedures will be implemented in the event of device loss or theft?
•Asset and Inventory Management – With either approach of ‘BYOD’ or ‘company-owned mobile device program’ asset management is critical for IT teams to manage the devices and prevent any security threat to the data in mobile applications. Through effective MDM profiling, RapidValue targets to segment and categorize the following:
oIdentify make and model of mobile devices, the operating system, version, and firmware release being used – for mobile devices, feature phones, smartphones, and tablet computers.
oSegmenting by job function, mobility requirements, geographic location, device type/class or any other criteria.
oManage and track devices remotely through location services or Over the Air (OTA) configuration.
•Configuration Management – Remote setup and configuration of mobile devices is an essential element of MDM for IT teams to manage access into applications and connection parameters.
oEnabling/disabling hardware capabilities such as GPS, camera, or Bluetooth or new application download.
oSecurely access and manage enterprise documents residing in a variety of content repositories, including SharePoint, email, messaging, and web browsing (proxy information).
4. Mobile Security Strategy
•Unlike personal laptops, mobile devices present a significant security risk for many organizations unless they are secured and managed.
•Since these devices/apps hold sensitive corporate data they should be as secure as information stored behind the firewall on the corporate network.
•To mitigate this risk, RapidValue will enable IT staff to control all aspects of mobile device security .
•This includes the ability to mandate passwords for mobile device users, encrypt data stores, and erase data from mobile devices remotely.
Malware Protection
Jailbreak Detection
Tunnel Gateway
Password Policies
Support VPN
Data Encryption (On-Device & OTA)
Remote Wipe
Inventory of Application downloads
5. Mobile Security Strategy
Key considerations for a mobile security strategy are:
•Authentication - Mobile device authentication and mandatory passwords are the easiest, most effective IT policies to enforce.
•Remote Locking/Wiping - Important mobile security element is the ability to remotely lock and/or wipe a mobile device that has been lost or stolen
•Encryption - File level, application level, or even full disk encryption can protect sensitive data in the event of a lost or stolen mobile device.
•Virus and other Malware Protection - Malware threatens information confidentiality, endangers system passwords, and increases the risk of data loss or compromise.
