9. Managed Disks for Azure Storage
• Managed Disks for Azure Storage is generally available in most Azure regions, with more regions being added soon
• No need to worry about storage account scale management
• Customers only need to specify the desired disk type (Standard or Premium disk) and disk size, and then Azure will create
and manage the disk for them
New Virtual Machine Scale Sets Features
• Can deploy up to 1000 VMs in a scale set (10x scale improvement)
• VM scale sets now support attached data disks. When you define a scale set you can create as many attached disks as the
VM size supports.
