Micro Tag Technology produces ultra small RFID tags that are 0.46 x 0.48 mm in size. This is much smaller than existing RFID tags whose antennas range from 12x9mm to 16x16mm in size. Micro Tag achieves this small size by integrating the antenna directly onto the integrated circuit chip. Despite their tiny size, the tags maintain the same functionality as larger tags and can be read from up to 1mm away. The ultra small tags open up new applications for RFID in areas like jewelry, paper products, research on insects, and electronic devices. Micro Tag's goal is to help enable a ubiquitous society where everything can be uniquely identified.
