Quality Indicators
1.1 Self-Evaluation for Self-Improvement Good

Our school: By utilising a variety of self evaluation measures, including
feedback from parents, children and staff we deemed
the school to be making good progress last session. A summary of our
findings will be shared in our next newsletter and then uploaded to our
school blog.
Priority 1
: Ensuring Excellence and Equity by Raising Attainment for All
Strategies involved:-
• Pupils will experience high quality learning and teaching
• Lead learners will be involved in cluster wide training
• Staff training in learning and teaching and moderation of
learning
• Further development of our nurture group
• Improved opportunities for families to engage in pupils’
learning.
Priority 2
:Ensuring Excellence and Equity by an Improvement in
Literacy for All
Strategies involved:-
• Raised attainment in spelling through implementation of
revised progression in spelling across all stages of the school.
• Further development of home links to support learning in
spelling
• Training for Pupil Support Staff to further support across all
stages of the school.
Priority 3
:Ensuring Excellence and Equity by an Improvement in
Numeracy for All
Strategies involved:-
• Lead learning working across the cluster on Maths and
Numeracy to give consistency
• Further staff training
• Family learning sessions at both school and cluster level
Priority 4
:Ensuring Excellence and Equity by an Improvement in all
Children’s Well Being
Strategies involved:-
• Development of Nurture across the whole school
• New members of staff to be trained in restorative practice and
peer mediation approaches.
Priority 5
:Ensuring Excellence and Equity by an Improvement in
employability skills and sustained destinations for all young
people.
Strategies involved:-
• All children’s achievements are recognised and tracked
• Develop links with the local community and local businesses
