Performer The performer in my music video and my cd cover is the same person, this creates a direct link between my ancillary texts as its showing that this album is directly linked to the artists personal life/ problems. As he is both present on the front cover and the music video it shows that this album is about him and the audience can clearly spot that through this connection From video to cd From cd to video

Outfit As the front cover always usually relates to one of the songs from the album , I decided to make the performer wear the same Denim jacket on the album as he wore in the video, this creates a sort of star iconography which links the digipack and the music video although star iconography is very unconventional of the indie genre, however the artist only wears this jacket for part of the video but the audience may still be able to recognise it From video to cd cover

Themes The theme of time is present in my music video as the performer goes back in time in order to fix his mistakes, this has a link to my insdie cover as there are shadows of clocks behind the performer on the walls witch creates synergy between both media texts with a common theme of time Artist realising he’s back on the same day vs the clocks on the digipack

LocationsIndie music videos are usually filmed in old British looking places, in my music video the artist is seen venturing around British locations and in the front cover he is also standing in a very old British looking road this creates direct synergy between the video and front cover as it shares the same theme and feel to it although the location on the front cover isn’t directly used in the video British looking locations from video vs the front cover

Brick WallsBrick Walls are used as symbolism in the music video as whenever something goes wrong for the character there's almost always a brick wall present , this is a hidden feature however I've chosen to correlate it with the back and inside cover of the cd case to create a link between my auxiliary texts although not a very obvious one. They are meant to symbolise obstacles in the performers life which is what the album is about Cd cover brick vs video bricks

Posters Link To CD Cover o My poster features my cd cover directly on it as the most predominant image, this creates synergy between both of my ancillary texts as they are very clearly linked together visually by having the same image, background image and fonts. The audience would immediately be able to identified the magazine poster as being part of my artist album which could help draw in my target audiences attention to the poster as they would wanna find out more CD cover vs Poster

Brick Wall Backgrounds My poster creates a link with my cd cover as it uses the same brick wall background as my dc covers back and inside, furthermore this adds more towards the symbolism of all the brick walls featured in my music video. Conclusion My Music video and ancillary texts have some strong connections linking them together through synergy.However there could be more clearer links/signifiers that i could have added to my ancillary texts to link it more specifically to my music. On the other hand both of my ancillary texts link together perfectly as they share the same imagery, colour scheme and style which creates a strong synergistic link
