Construction of the Dulles Metro project has reached the 33% completion mark after two years. Tunnels have been mined beneath Route 7 and 123 in Tysons, and cut-and-cover construction is being used to connect the tunnels to stations. Bridges are being built across I-495 using large concrete segments lifted into place. Stations are under construction at five locations along the route. Utilities have been relocated along Route 7 and bridges are rising over the highway. The project remains on schedule to transform transit in Tysons Corner.
