Project: Shopping Centre/ Mall
A mall is a public space set aside for the public to walk. It is a major street used by the public for shopping
and recreational activities.Shopping has always been a unique experience for the Urban Dwellers of all classes
and groups. From traditional market streets to new age shopping malls, the typology of shopping experience
is ever changing.
Aim:
To visualize and explore the idea of shopping experience as a stage for the city and translate into desirable
form, which includes all of the possibilities of shopping, entertainment, leisure, public spaces, experiential
multidimensional spaces, attractive and dynamic environment, freedom of choices, etc. Being in any form that
can communicate practically, pragmaticand economically achievable solutions and as together it should reflect
the idea of stage for the city.
 Site can be selected by the students based on their interest.
 Site Area- 2 acre- 5 acre.
Objectives:
 To introduce the challenges involved in the design of projects related to diverse needs and ways of
contemporary urban life.
 To enable exploration of the above project with perception, socio- cultural awareness and
innovation.
Design stages:
Stage 1: Case study & Site selection.
In this stage students must understand the design problem by doing the two case studies and site
required for the problem must be selected individually.
Stage 2: Requirements & Conceptual Design.
In this stage students should frame the spatial and area requirements. According to their spatial
requirement initial concept design should be finished.
Stage 3: Schematic drawing.
The finalized concept design should be developed into a schematic drawing in detail and necessary
Plan, elevations, sections should be produced at this stage.
Stage 4: Detailed drawing.
In this stage students are expected to develop their schematic drawings into detailed working plans,
sections, and elevations. With service plans necessary for the design.
Stage 5: 3D modelling and Presentation.
Final stage of the design process involving preparation of 3d models and renderings required to
illustrate the design

D Project: Shopping Centre/ Mall A mall is a public space set aside for the public to walk. It is a major street used by the public for shopping and recreational activities.Shopping has always been a unique experience for the Urban Dwellers of all classes and groups. From traditional market streets to new age shopping malls, the typology of shopping experience is ever changing. Aim: To visualize and explore the idea of shopping experience as a stage for the city and translate into desirable form, which includes all of the possibilities of shopping, entertainment, leisure, public spaces, experiential multidimensional spaces, attractive and dynamic environment, freedom of choices, etc. Being in any form that can communicate practically, pragmaticand economically achievable solutions and as together it should reflect the idea of stage for the city.  Site can be selected by the students based on their interest.  Site Area- 2 acre- 5 acre.

    Objectives:  To introducethe challenges involved in the design of projects related to diverse needs and ways of contemporary urban life.  To enable exploration of the above project with perception, socio- cultural awareness and innovation. Design stages: Stage 1: Case study & Site selection. In this stage students must understand the design problem by doing the two case studies and site required for the problem must be selected individually. Stage 2: Requirements & Conceptual Design. In this stage students should frame the spatial and area requirements. According to their spatial requirement initial concept design should be finished. Stage 3: Schematic drawing. The finalized concept design should be developed into a schematic drawing in detail and necessary Plan, elevations, sections should be produced at this stage. Stage 4: Detailed drawing. In this stage students are expected to develop their schematic drawings into detailed working plans, sections, and elevations. With service plans necessary for the design. Stage 5: 3D modelling and Presentation. Final stage of the design process involving preparation of 3d models and renderings required to illustrate the design
