This document discusses mobile network technologies and capacity challenges. It notes that video now accounts for 39% of mobile data traffic and that network demand can exceed capacity during peak hours, degrading quality of experience. It describes the evolution of network technologies from 2G to 4G/LTE and how operators have improved spectrum utilization over time. However, no single technology can solve capacity constraints. For enterprises, improved wireless access allows more services to move to the cloud, though service level agreements currently require coordination between operators and content providers.
