MAKE DATA MORE HUMAN
~ By Srijani Das
Let’s see..
How did this data
come?
We started to write
things on stone…
We started to draw pictures..
Then, we started to
store data in mass..
Scale of data – 75 years
ago..
And at present..
Computer plays a huge role in
storing data…
And here now data is being recorded
forever. Computer memory is
technically any type of electronic
storage. Without it and without
access to it, a computer is just a
useless box.
So Data TODAY ??
Data Evolution
By 2020, there will be 5,200 GB of
data for every person on Earth
Big Data Big Business.
Statistics for smart data
we should think about data in a human
context.

THE MARKET AND THE MARKETERS’ CHALLENGE WITH BIG
DATA
Data is a top business priority and drives enormous opportunity for business
improvement. Wikibon’s own study projects that big data will be a $50 billion business by
2018.
Market research firm IDC has released a new forecast that shows the big data market is
expected to grow from $3.2 billion in 2010 to $16.9 billion in 2015.
In the developed economies of Europe, government administrators could save more than €100
billion ($149 billion) in operational efficiency improvements alone by using big data, not
including using big data to reduce fraud and errors and boost the collection of tax revenues.
39 percent of marketers say that their data is collected “too infrequently or not real-time
enough.
CONCLUSION
The increase in Unstructured Data collected by business is undeniable and
they are under more and more pressure to retain it for longer periods of
time. The thing we need to do is making data more visuals and start to
treat it in a human context
