Automatic irrigation is a form of irrigation system that incorporates the theory of control, power of wireless technology and feedback system with irrigation. The aim of our project is not only to minimize this manual intervention by the farmer in farm field, but also to successfully water garden plants planted in pots too. Which is why we are using micro- controller based Automated Irrigation system will serve the following purposes: 1) As there is no un-planned usage of water, a lot of water is saved from being wasted. 2) The irrigation is done only when there is not enough moisture in the soil and the microcontroller decides when should the pump be turned on/off, saves a lot time for the farmers. This also gives much needed rest to the farmers and helps, as they don’t have to go and turn the pump on/off manually. 3)This irrigation system can be monitor by user wirelessly. User can receive notification and can provide proper commands via his cell phone whenever necessary.

IRJET- Power Theft Detection and Monitoring using GSM Technology

FIRE DETECTION AND ELETRICAL POWER ON/OFF CONTROL IN HOME/INDUSTRY USING GSM
The idea behind this project is to use the existing GSM infrastructure. So, all the operations involve the GSM system also. As we send any SMS, it goes through the GSM system. Any sent SMS can be received if we use a SIM card and GSM module. To operate any GSM modem, we have to use the AT commands to operate them. For example, if any SMS arrives the GSM modem sends the serial data in ASCII format. We can read these data if we connect the modem with the serial port of the microcontroller at the baud rate of 9600. As the microcontroller comes to know that a SMS has been arrived, it can sent a proper AT command to read the SMS. The reading of SMS returns the mobile number of sender, the time and much more information. We have to select the SMS part of the message. The starting string of the SMS is used as the password. As the password is matched, then the SMS arrival is assumed to be valid by the microcontroller otherwise, it ignores the SMS. - 2. INTRODUCTION GSM based agriculture system is automatic control system which capable of receiving a set of command instructions and performs the necessary actions like Start , Stop. The mobile unit which is dedicated at the motor driver is interfaced with an intellectual device called Micro controller so that it takes the responsibility of reading the received commands in the form of call from the mobile unit and perform the corresponding predefined tasks such as motor start, stop. In this circuit we have also used a water level buzzer to stop the motor in case we don’t want to stop the motor by using mobile unit. This project is divided into two parts. ● GSM modem circuit ● GSM control circuit

- 4. GSM modem circuit we use SIM300 modem to send serial data from microcontroller unit mcu to mobile. Its works on 800 /900 /1800 Mhz frequency. We will use max 232 ic for communication between mcu and modem. We send serial data from mcu to sim300.
- 5. GSM control circuit GSM modem circuit is to send alert when electricity detected. we will use GSM Technology for this purpose. We will use 9170 IC for dtmf signal from mobile using headphone. This IC with mcu is used for stopping and starting the motor by mobile unit. We are using electromagnetic relay for controlling electrical device or motor. We are using MAX 232 circuit for serial programming purpose. We are attached RS232 at the output side of the MAX232 IC. There are two pins of the MAX232 at the output side. 1) Transmitter 2) Receiver In this we have also used a water level circuit to stop the motor in case we don’t want to stop the motor by using mobile unit. A alert circuit is also added with it.
- 6. Application ● The main application of this circuit is for irrigation system. ● it is also used as a water level indicator circuit.
