MAIN TASK INITIAL IDEAS
By Katie Mould
Aim and Purpose
The aim of this slideshow is to present three different
ideas for a potential magazine. The ideas that are being
shown are all different and have very different features in
them which is why the purpose of this slideshow is to
help me decide which magazine I’m going to go with,
dependent on the feedback I get.

looking at are :

Peer Feedback
 After presenting my ideas to a small group of 3, everyone thought
that the best idea to go with would be idea one. With suggestions
such as doing a different genre for every issue which I thought was
a great idea, some other issues arose based around festivals only
being held in the summer. I think I can get around this by releasing
issues in the winter talking about different items that you can buy
to prepare yourself for the summer festivals and also do a few
pages for the release of line-ups so that people can see all of the
festival line-ups to make their minds up about which ones they are
    going to attend.
 Overall I got generally good feedback based around the festival
idea because there is a gap in the market for something like
it, which is why I chose to look at it in the first place. The colour
scheme and fonts that I chose to use also seemed to go down well.
Final Decision
I am choosing to go with Idea One because after
presenting, it seemed like a unanimous vote to explore
that type of magazine. I also wanted to do this type of
magazine from the very beginning because I thought
that it was something different that hasn’t really been
explored in great depth before. I think that all of the
things that I can put into the magazine will be really
interesting and will hopefully appeal to the broad target
audience and draw more and more people in.
Overall, I think that the idea of a festival magazine is
really intriguing as I personally would like this type of
magazine to see line-ups and ‘festival life’ stories.
