2. Type of magazine and title
The magazine that I am going to create will be a music magazine and
the title of the magazine will be “Beat Drop” as it fits well with the
theme of music, as well as the theme of rap as that is the type of genre
that my magazine will focus on.
3. Cost and publishing schedule
I think that my magazine should be priced at around £2.50 as I did
some research and found out that most music magazines tend to be
priced between £1.50 and £5 so I believe being priced in the middle of
that average will make it cheap enough for people to consider buying,
but not too cheap so that the magazine can make profit.
The magazine will be published on Mondays people will be able to
collect the magazine while on their commute which could lead to more
people buying the magazine as a lot of people don’t tend to go out often
when it’s the weekend.
4. Colour palette
The colour scheme that will be used for my magazine will be pink and
black as the bright pink will be used to grab on-looker’s attention,
while the black will be used to make the magazine seem less child-like
by balancing out the bright pink with a neutral black. The black will
be used in larger quantity in comparison to the pink so that the
magazine doesn't look as feminine to viewers.
5. Size and contents
the magazine will contain a single sided contents page as the first
page and will also contain news about rap artists as well as interviews
with them.
The size of the magazine will be around 8 3⁄8” x 10 7⁄8” due to it being
an economical and common magazine page size.
