2. Doctor Who magazine
The Doctor Who magazine has been running
since 1979 originally called Doctor Who
Weekly.
The Title font is the Official ‘Doctor Who’ logo, It is
also licensed by the BBC. The colour blue suggests
trust and authority but more importantly it is a
common colour theme within ‘Doctor Who’.
The image is in the middle of the magazine
which is where the focus will go straight to.
The bright background accentuates the face.
The white under the red is what you are
drawn to next due to the colour and then the
white underneath being a larger font.
The red sub-headings are effective as they
show extra information which could
interest a casual.
The blue sub-headings show information
more specific to the more serious fan.
3. The use of social media connects
the audience as there is a big
connection with social media and
shows that they are moving with
the times
Rather plain but is clear how to get to
where you want on the website.
The use of red attracts
the reader to the
important headings.
The grey black
contrasts the red and
makes the whole
website appealing and
easily made up.
4. Total Film Magazine
The magazine was launched in 1997 and offers
cinema, DVD and Blu-ray news, reviews and features.
Red Title draws you towards it, the size of the
word ‘Film’ (which takes up a big chunk of the
screen) makes it very clear what the magazine is
going to be about.
The heavy emphasis on red is apparent
throughout which is a very strong colour and
will attract the consumer in a bunch.
The background contrasts heavily with the
very different colours of the title and
headings. This allows a strong level of
interest as there is strong intrigue.
The use of Ryan Gosling and Harrison
Ford will peak peoples interest due to
their celebrity status.

6. Nintendo Magazine
Official Nintendo Magazine, or ONM, is a retired
British video game magazine which covered
the Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Wii U video
game consoles released by Nintendo.
The predominant use of Red will draw people in
because it will stand out on a magazine stand.
The White is a perfect contrast to the red and will help
it stand out again. The colours are the same as
Nintendo as well as the logo which helps draw in the
fans.
The Famous gaming icons will help to draw in
the people who might recognise some of the
icons.
The Font is large and bold and
converges to the middle which shows
the main point of which the magazine
was about.
8. Audience
