Footage:
Is appropriate for target audience, fitting genre conventions of horror well.
Controlled use of camera throughout, although lighting an issue for some. A well
set atmosphere.
Editing:
Edited well to build tension. Good variety of shots used throughout.
Sound:
Good use of diegetic and non-diegetic sound. Although better balance between
soundtrack and dialogue was needed. Quiet in parts
Overall:
A proficient horror piece. Good use of locations and actors.
Evaluation – Comments and mark out of 17/20
Question 1: Answered using a word and slideshare. Excellent inclusion of Propp’s
narrative theory. Candidate explains well how she conforms to her genre
conventions using good examples from films within the genre.
Question 2: Answered using power-point and slideshare. Candidate explains well
who the target audience is and how they are represented in her film opening. She
explains well using costumes, cinematography and mise-en-scene.
Question 3: Answered using prezi. Candidate explains well that Relativity LLC
would be best to distribute her film using good clear examples. Good inclusion of
Woman In Black poster annotations.
Question 4 and 5: Answered together using a prezi. Question 4 used avatars to
visualise the target audience and explains them well using the ABC1 scale. Question
5 uses 2 questionnaires to provide feedback. A detailed questionnaire was used to
survey a wider group of people and results have been analysed well.
Question 6: Answered using word and slideshare. Excellent detail on all the
technologies used throughout the process displayed in an interesting way.
Question 7: Answered using powtoon. Candidate provides a very reflective piece
explaining what she has learnt throughout her journey, excellent detail, well done.
Overall an excellent evaluation, great attention to detail, well done.
