Controlling contamination is a broad subject. It concerns
planning, organizing, managing, and implementing all
activities required to determine, achieve and maintain a
specified contamination level. Best practices for cleanli-
ness control include using fully sealed containers, like the
colour-coded range of OilSafe containers equipped with
colour-coded labels. This enables accurate lubrication
identification from bulk storage to fill point.
In fact it’s all about keeping it clean and protected, and
having a colour coding system that includes the oil, tools,
equipment and LMS.
Today management of knowledge is becoming critical in
industry, particularly within the maintenance sphere. That’s why Lubrication Management Software
is a great help to control contamination; it eliminates paper and reinforce the colour coding for
lubricants and the 5S practices.
