LSC WOMEN’S SOCCER
Angelo State leads the Lone Star Conference standings with 25 points followed by Midwestern State (19) and Texas
A&M-Commerce (19) with one week of regular season play remaining. The Rambelles have clinched a share of the LSC
title and can claim the championship outright with one more point.
The top six teams advance to the postseason conference tournament with the quarterfinals played on campus
November 1 and the semifinals and final at the No. 1 seed Nov. 3-5.
The women’s teams are 47-43-19 overall this season. The squads are currently 7-4-4 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 4-3-2 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other conferences in
the NCAA South Central Region.

OFFENSIVE
Trenadey Scott, Angelo State University, SO, Forward, Fort Worth, Texas, Everman
Scott recorded her first career hat trick on Wednesday night in a 4-0 victory over UT Permian Basin. She scored three
times against the Falcons, bringing her season goals total to 14. She was the first ASU player to record a hat trick since
September 2015. Scott then added one more point to her total on Sunday with an assist as ASU topped No. 11
Midwestern State. She now has 32 points on the year and has averaged 2.39 per game.
DEFENSIVE
Callie Smith, Angelo State University, SR, Defender, Round Rock, Stony Point
Smith once again led the ASU defense, playing 156 minutes of the Belles' two games over the week. Smith helped ASU to
4-0 shutout of UT Permian Basin on Wednesday and then held off No. 11 Midwestern State on Sunday for a 3-2 win.
Smith also got an assist in Sunday's win, taking a free kick from midfield that Ally Warren headed in. It was Smith's first
assist of the season.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Sophie Haywood, Texas A&M University-Commerce, had goals in each of the Lions' matches last weekend. She
scored the game-tying goal in the Lions 3-1 win against West Texas A&M on Friday. Both of her shots were on goal. She
also assisted on the game-winning goal in that match. Haywood then had the game-winning goal in the Lions' 2-1 win
over Eastern New Mexico in the 65th minute. She had two shots on goal in the match. Haywood is second in the LSC in
goals, second in points and is tied for the lead in game-winning goals.
Haley Ward, Texas Woman's University, scored her fourth goal of the season in the 18th minute against Eastern
New Mexico as she dribbled across the 18-yard box and fired into the upper right corner for a 1-0 TWU advantage.
Versus West Texas A&M, the freshman notched her fifth goal of the year in the 11th minute on a pass across the goal for
the first score of the game.
Sydney Hickerson, West Texas A&M University, paced the Lady Buffs with one goal and one assist this week in a pair
of games at Texas A&M-Commerce and at Texas Woman's. She scored on her one shot for the Lady Buffs, while logging
a team-high 183 minutes, playing every minute of both contests.
Caitlin Duty, Texas A&M University-Commerce, had a save percentage of .846 last weekend as the Lions went 2-0-0.
She had five saves in the Lions 3-1 win over West Texas A&M on Friday. She followed that performance with six saves in
the Lions' 2-1 win over Eastern New Mexico. Duty continues to lead the LSC in fewest goals against, is second in save
percentage and second in shutouts.

Midwestern State pushed its win streak to three Friday in a 4-0 shutout of UT Permian Basin with four different players
netting goals for MSU. In a battle for first place in the Lone Star Conference Sunday, Midwestern fell to Angelo State by a
3. score of 3-2 for the second time this season to move to 11-4-1 overall and 6-3-1 in the LSC. The Mustangs ranked 16th in
this week's United Soccer Coaches national poll as the second highest ranked team in the South Central Region behind
No. 9 Angelo State. The Mustangs close out the regular season this weekend with a pair of home games against Eastern
New Mexico and West Texas A&M at Stang Park.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions picked up six points with wins over West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico last weekend. A&M-Commerce
is now tied with Midwestern State for second place in the conference standings. The Lions lead the conference in scoring
defense, shots and corner kicks and are second in scoring offense. In the final week of the regular season, they will travel
to face UT Permian Basin on Friday and Angelo State on Sunday. The Lions finished their home season with a 9-1-0
record.
Texas Woman’s
TWU tied 1-1 with Eastern New Mexico Friday before a 3-2 overtime win against West Texas A&M Sunday.

The Lady Buffs dropped two games last week for three-straight losses marking the first time that has happened all
season...WT is 6-6-4 overall and 4-3-3 in Lone Star Conference play with two games remaining...WT hosts Eastern New
Mexico Wednesday evening and plays at Midwestern State Sunday...The Lady Buffs will honor two seniors playing in
their final regular season home game Wednesday in Sydney Hickerson and Lucy Chalgren...Both have been four-year
players for the Lady Buffs...WT currently is fourth in the league standings and would host a LSC Championship
quarterfinal match next Wednesday if the season ended today.
