LSC WOMEN’S SOCCER
Angelo State remains atop the Lone Star Conference standings with 13 points followed closely by Texas A&M-Commerce
and West Texas A&M who each have 12 points.
LSC action rolls on with one game Wednesday, and three on Friday and Sunday.
The women’s teams are 35-31-15 overall this season. The squads are currently 7-4-4 combined versus Rocky
Mountain Athletic Conference teams, and 4-3-2 against the Heartland Conference, which are the other conferences in
the NCAA South Central Region.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
OFFENSIVE
Sabrina Munguia, Texas A&M University-Commerce, JR, Forward, Baytown, Texas, Sterling HS
Munguia scored goals in each of the Lions' wins last week and saw five of her eight shots go on goal. She scored in the
70th minute against Angelo State on a breakaway goal in the 3-0 win over the conference leader. She had two shots on
goal in the match. Munguia then scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute against UT Permian Basin on Sunday.
On a free kick toward the goal, Munguia outraced her defender and just beat the goalkeeper to the ball, kicking it past
her for the goal. She had three of her four shots go on goal in the match. Munguia is tied for third in the LSC in goals
scored with five, is tied for fourth in game-winning goals with two and tied for fifth in points with 11. The Lions lead the
LSC in scoring margin.
DEFENSIVE
Alejandra Camarillo, Eastern New Mexico University, JR, Goalkeeper, Goleta, Calif., Santa Barbara CC / Dos Pueblos HS
With shutouts over West Texas A&M and Midwestern State last week, Alejandra Camarillo has not allowed a goal at
home in over 300 minutes. She made five saves against WT and four against MSU in a pair of double-overtime scoreless
ties. At home this season, the junior goalkeeper has a goals against average of 1.18.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS
Hannah Kelley, West Texas A&M University, paced the Lady Buffs with one goal and one assist for three points this
week in three starts. She had seven shots (.143) with four on goal (.571), while recording a goal and assist against
Midwestern State in a 3-0 win Friday evening. Kelley played 276 minutes for the week as the Lady Buffs went 1-1-1 in
the three games.
Mackenzie Broderick, Angelo State University, had just one shot in the one game she played over the weekend, but
the junior forward made it count, scoring her second goal of the season. Broderick headed in a cross from Megan Allen
in the 76th minute of the Belles' win against TWU on Sunday for ASU's third goal of the game, giving them a comfortable
lead that they held the rest of the game. The California native is now fourth on the team with her two goals.
Delaney Bunselmeyer, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Bunselmeyer was part of the Lion defense that held
opponents to just eight shots on goal over two games with no goals allowed. The defense now has six shutouts this
season. In their 3-0 win over ASU, Bunselmeyer and the Lion defense held the conference scoring leader to just six shots
on goal for the game and zero goals. She also took nearly every throw in for the Lions and helped to flip the field by
taking goal kicks as well. Bunselmeyer then had one of the better games of her career against UTPB. She had two assists
for goals on long passes. She and the defense held UTPB to just two shots on goal. The Lions lead the LSC in scoring
defense and scoring margin.
Courtney Dippel, West Texas A&M University, continued a strong season as she allowed one goal (0.31) with 13
saves (.929) and recorded two shutouts, while facing 30 shots. Dippel went 1-1-1 in 290:49 minutes for the week. She
helped lead WT to a 0-0 tie at Eastern New Mexico and a 3-0 win over Midwestern State and took a high-powered
Oklahoma Baptist team to overtime with nine saves against the Lady Bison. Prior to the goal allowed in the 91st minute
Monday at OBU, Dippel had not allowed a goal in the last 418:71 minutes dating back to a 2-2 tie at Angelo State on
Sept. 29. For the season she has a 1.05 goals against average, allowing 13 goals, with 49 saves (.790), four shutout and
one combined shutout, while going 5-3-4in 1110:04 minutes of action.
Analise Watson, Angelo State University, was an integral part of the Belles' weekend road trip, playing 148 minutes
in the midfield for ASU. Watson won a number of headers in the middle of the field as well as helped to slow counter-
attacks of both the Lions and the Pioneers. She played 80 minutes on Sunday against TWU, when ASU was using just
three midfielders for most of the game. The junior covered a large amount of ground helping to create scoring chances
as well as defend.

Angelo State
The Belles went 1-1-0 over the weekend, defeating Texas Woman's 3-1 on Sunday. ASU got its first and second goals of
the season from defenders when Janessa Dunbar and Molly Warren Scored in the match against TWU. Sophomore
3. Trenadey Scott continues to lead the conference in goals scored with 10 this season, and she is No. 8 nationally in goals
per game.
Eastern New Mexico
The Eastern New Mexico women's soccer team notched its two best defensive performances of the season last week in
scoreless ties against Midwestern State and West Texas A&M. Paired with last month's 2-0 win over Texas Woman's, the
Hounds have three straight home shutouts for the first time since 2009. ENMU enjoyed a 7-5 lead in shots on goal
against MSU. This week, the Greyhounds will close their home schedule against Angelo State and UT Permian Basin.
Midwestern State
Midwestern State took down its first top-15 opponent since 2011 Wednesday in a 1-0 victory at No. 12 St. Edward's
(Texas). The Mustangs closed out the week with a 0-1-1 record in LSC action, falling 3-0 at West Texas A&M while
playing Eastern New Mexico to a scoreless draw. The Mustangs come into the week at 8-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in league
play. MSU plays host to Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's to begin the second half of its conference slate this
weekend at Stang Park.
Texas A&M-Commerce
The Lions went undefeated over the weekend with a 3-0 win over conference leader Angelo State and a 3-0 win against
UT Permian Basin. A&M-Commerce is tied for second place at the midway point of the season, just one point behind
ASU. They are tied in conference wins with four. The Lions outshot opponents 51-15 over the weekend, including a 22-8
advantage in shots on goal. With the two shutouts, A&M-Commerce has six shutouts this season. The Lions lead the LSC
in scoring defense, scoring margin, shots, assists and corners. They are second in goals, scoring average, save percentage
and shutouts. A&M-Commerce will face TWU on Wednesday and MSU on Friday.
Texas Woman’s
TWU notched its first LSC win in a 3-0 victory over UT Permian Basin Friday before falling 3-1 to Angelo State Sunday.

West Texas A&M
The Lady Buffs had three games this week as they tied at Eastern New Mexico, 0-0, posted a key 3-0 win over
Midwestern State and dropped an overtime heartbreaker at Oklahoma Baptist, 1-0...The Lady Buffs are 5-3-4 overall and
3-0-3 in Lone Star Conference play...WT currently sits tied for second in the league standings with 12 conference
points...WT is the only unbeaten team in conference play...Angelo State leads the league standings with a 4-1-1 record
and visits WT this weekend...The Lady Buffs had a six-game unbeaten streak prior to the Oklahoma Baptist overtime loss
(90:49) and had not allowed a goal in the last 432:57 minutes...Redshirt freshman Hannah Kelley paced the team with
three points on one goal and one assist with seven shots and four on frame for the week...Freshman and reigning LSC
Offensive Player of the Week, Noir Hawash, also had one goal and three assists for the week...Junior goalkeeper
Courtney Dippel went 1-1-1 for the week with 13 saves, two shutouts and one goal against (0.31 GAA)...WT returns
home to host UT Permian Basin on Friday and Angelo State on Sunday at The Pitch.
