Low profile dump trucks are used for underground hauling in metal mines. They have a low profile which allows them to operate in smaller excavated areas and provide low-cost hauling. They are commonly loaded by equipment like LHD machines at flexible loading points, and can economically transport ore for some distance within underground mines to surface dumping locations via declines. A decline entry of mine is provided to access working face or
loading point to surface dumping location.
Loading equipment like LHD is used in conjugation.
They can be economically used for some distance.
In India, UCIL jadugudha mines uses LPDT’s for hauling.
