Mr. K. D. Prasad is a seasoned mining professional with over four decades of rich and diverse experience in the coal industry under Coal India Limited. During his distinguished service career, he held several key leadership roles across multiple subsidiaries — including ECL, BCCL, and MCL — culminating in his superannuation as General Manager (Mining) in August 2021. After retirement, Mr. Prasad continues to serve the mining fraternity as a Faculty Member and Consultant. He is actively associated with IMME, Kolkata as Senior Faculty; HRD Centres of ECL, BCCL, MCL, and NLC as Regular Guest Faculty; and also works as an Independent Techno-Legal Consultant for WCL, CCL, SECL, BCCL, MCL & ECL.
