The stem and the bases of the flower
is usually deep red and covered with
hairs. The colour then changes to a
nice green. For most of the length of
the flower which splits open to show
a smooth pale green inside.
Popcorn flowers are small and white. They
bloom from February through June. They can
also by small as 2 inches and can go up to 10
inches tall. The flowers open starting from
the bottom of the plant moving to the top.
This causes the stem to uncoil.
