Homogenization of culture refers to the loss of diversity between cultural groups as local cultures are transformed or absorbed by a dominant outside culture, such as through the immense growth of the internet and increase in globalization. This leads to bigger markets but also the disadvantages of certain local cultures being lost.
Civic consciousness involves being aware of one's community and how to help as an individual. In the Philippines, civic consciousness is prioritized through incorporating it into the National Service Training Program (NSTP). The NSTP aims to enhance civic consciousness and defense preparedness in youth by developing ethics of service and patriotism through its three program components, which are designed to enhance the youth's active contribution to general welfare.
This document discusses different methods of program evaluation: the before-and-after method compares outcomes before and after a program, the comparison method compares one group to another or the norm, and the how-do-we-stand method identifies desirable outcomes and criteria to rate a program. 7. Hudhod (Ifugao)
Sa Hudhud ay naipagmamalaki si Aliguyon, isang
mitolohikal na katauhan kilala sa kanyang yaman at
kapangyarihan. Marami ang bersyon nito ang
natagpuan sa Kordilyera at karamihan ng kwento nito
ay tungkol sa kanyang pagkapangasawa kay Bugan.
Ang hudhud ni Aliguyon ay kalimitang kinakanta
tuwing nagtatabas ng damo, nag-aani ng pananim at
tuwing may namatay na mataas na tao sa lipunan.
8. Ito ay ginagawa ng mga mamamayan para sa
mga paghihirap na nangyayari sa kanila at
lumalakas ang kanilang loob. Si Aliguyon,
katulad ng isang bayani, ay nagbibigay
inspirasyon sa mga tao. Inilalarawan ni Aliguyon
ang mga katangian ng isang Ipugaw. Ang
hudhud ay ay kalimitang tinatawag na kantang
pang-ani dahil sa ito ay kalimitang kinakanta
tuwing nagaani.
9. Alim (Ifugao)
Ang alim ay kalimitang ginagamit sa mga
ritwal na gawain lamang. Ang Alim ay ginagamit
para sa mga namatay, may sakit at ritwal ng
paggawa at paglagay ng hagabi. Ngunit
mayroong mga nasusulat na ginagamit din ito sa
ibang mga kaparaanan tulad ng: mga malakihang
pagdiriwang at pag-aani. Ang mga tauhan ditto
ay mga mahihiwagang nilalang at hindi mga tao
lamang. Ang mga kumakanta nito ay mga lalaki.
10. ULALIM
• Ang ullalim naman ng mga taga-Timog Kalinga ay
mga mahahabang awit na kinankanta ng mga lalaki
o ng mga babae na kaiba sa hudhud at kinakanta
lamang ng mga babae. Ang pagkanta nito ay
ginagawa tuwing may pagdiriwang at kasunduan.
Nilalaman ng ullalim ang mga ulat sa labanan,
pamumugot ng ulo at matapang at makisig na
pakikipagsapalaran ng isang bayani. Binibigyan ng
pokus ng mga ito ang katapangan ng mga taga-
Kalinga.
11. Naglalaman din naman ito ng romansa,
kakaibang kagalingan sa mga Gawain,
kapangyarihang kahima-himala at mga
matagumpay na mga paglalakbay at pakikidigma.
Sa pag-aaral ng ullalim ay makikita din ang mga
pang-araw araw na karanasan ng mga tao sa
Kalinga. Kasalungat ng hudhud, ang ullalim ay
gumagamit at sumusunod sa mga gabay
pangtula.
12. Gasumbi
• Sa Hilagang bahagi naman ng Kalinga ay
mayroon ding gulong ng epiko, ang gasumbi.
Ang pangunahing tauhan dito ay si Gawan. Ang
gasumbi ay kalimitang kinakanta sa gabi at gabi
ng kanilang pag-aani. Ito rin, gaya ng ullalim, ay
tungkol sa pamumugot-ulo ng mga taga-Kalinga,
pangligawan na nahahaluan ng salamangka at
hiwaga.
