The Park On The Terrace Essay
Outside on the terrace, floated seven six foot high sculptures in the form of floats seen in figure two.
Robert Breer designed the floats with the unique ability to be moved around while emitting sound.
The sound was emitted from a battery operated tape recorder that was placed inside each float. The
recorder played different sounds including humpback whale songs, low sawing sounds, and a truck
starting up and driving away. When one visited the Pavilion, they could experience the Robert Breer s
floats as they moved leisurely around the plaza. When the floats collided with an obstacle or were
intentionally pushed, they would reverse direction. The components of these floating islands could
only be activated with the participation of the public, the environment designed cannot exist or be
fully rationalized without the involvement of the visitor.
A walk through the Pepsi Pavilion reveals a white tunnel at the edge of the dome and it is at this point
where every visitor that walks in is handed a walkie talkie like handset that can pick sounds from
amplifiers under the floor. At the entrance, a tunnel descends into a clam shaped room which was dark
and lit only by mobile patterns of laser light. People first entered the pavilion through the Clam Room,
met by a laser deflection system which projected colors from a krypton laser. Lowell Cross designed
the psychedelic system which introduced visitors to the multimedia aspect of the Pavilion. In its
conception, Robert Whitman

Essay On Marc Ching
12 people? Secret Police? And low and behold a Daily Mail reporter? The same Daily Mail that Marc
Ching declared tabloid liars when they exposed The Man Who Risked His Life To Save 1,000 Dogs
from the Yulin Slaughterhouse as doing nothing of the sort.
Is any of it true? Amazingly his followers will believe every word Marc Ching claims is true without
the slightest bit of evidence, but disregard any other stories because they claim it s all circumstantial
or worst yet Fabricated for some unknown reason.
When the Daily Mail story claimed that 700 of the 1,000 Marc Ching saved dogs, actually died. Marc

Marc Ching seems to constantly leave out a great many details that I believe are crucial for people to
make their choices on whom to donate their money to. With each story, these lack of details is
reinforcing our belief that they are intentional rather than just an oversight.
But with each story, we write we are discovering an all too common thread woven into Marc Ching
character and that is the ability to lie and evade about what really transpires in reality, which if
confirmed would have a tremendous impact on how he is judged by his fanatics.
Marc Ching has an almost Jekyll and Hyde like on camera/off camera personality. Even if there is a
lack of evidence, the idea of handing over thousands of dollars in donations to a dog breeder, making
him more wealthy and supplying him the capital to expand his horrific trade seems disgusting at best
and would contradict everything Ching claims to

It was published by Grove Press in 1965. Malcolm X was an activist who was committed to the rights
of all Blacks in the United States. His original name is Malcolm Little, he dropped the slave title Little
and adopted X to represent the unknown. The Autobiography of Malcolm X begins at his childhood
home in Omaha, Nebraska. While Malcolm s mother, Louise Little, was pregnant with him, Ku Klux
Klan members showed up at his family s home. They targeted Malcolm s father, Earl Little, who was a
Baptist Minister, the white supremacists warned Louise to leave town with her family because the

Analysis Of Walt Disney s Sleeping Beauty For The Past...
The Walt Disney Corporation over the past century has become a phenomenon of its own,
transcending into the lives of families globally. Recently, a popular trend has been to reinvent their one
time classic films, Sleeping Beauty for instance. With the release of Maleficent, Disney sought to
change the perception of the film and retell the story with a new spin. Evidently, a change this large
caused mixed reviews in the reception of the film. However, one group that was strongly appreciative
of the new rendition was that of feminism. With Maleficent s story retold in a manner supporting a
strong female lead, rather than Aurora who slept through the majority of the film, Disney set the stage
of female empowerment. In the article Imagining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The focus of the article highlights the differences of presented in the film between masculine society,
King Stefan s Kingdom, and the natural landscape of the Moors, cared for by Maleficent. The article
claims, Maleficent communicates an awareness of ecological pedagogical practices that serve to
liberate audience members in the midst of environmental collapse (Hatfield 81). Through this, it is
reasoned that Disney is engaged in issues surrounding both civilization collapse and the feminist
agency within all this. The article further promotes that nature is subjected to be beneath culture as
industrialization is at the root of the degradation of the natural environment. The idea is paralleled
within Maleficent, between the Kingdom of Stefan and the Moors. The queer relations aspect is
promoted through Aurora and Maleficent s atypical relationship, which ultimately bridges the gap
between the two kingdoms, unifying culture and nature. The argument pursued in Imagining
Ecofeminist Communities via Queer Alliances in Disney s Maleficent is strongly clarified through
supporting works. The ecofeminism idea that is pushed outlines the cross between environmentalism
and feminism. Environmentalism analyzes work to analyze why nature is treated inferior to culture
while the feminist movement shows interest in uncovering why women are treated inferior to men.

Hyperbole Scarlet Letter
D.H. Lawrence writes about Nathaniel Hawthorne s novel The Scarlet Letter in his essay On The
Scarlet Letter . Instead of writing a traditional essay on the novel, Laurence creates a unique criticism
of the novel through a sense of rhythm. He uses several literary devices to reach this goal of creating
an effective criticism. More specifically, D.H. Lawrence uses the literary devices of hyperbole, syntax,
and allusion to craft an effective criticism of Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Scarlet Letter. The author
creates an effective criticism of Hawthorne s work through his use of hyperbole throughout his essay.
For example, Laurence criticizes how Hester Prynne is put upon [a] scaffold and worship[ed]
(Lawrence). Through this extreme statement, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this is when he references James Fenimore Cooper s work Deerslayer when he
discusses how Deerslayer refused to be seduced by Judith Hutter (Lawrence). By alluding to Cooper s
work, Lawrence references how the character Deerslayer resists Judith Hutter s seduction. Through
this, he makes the criticism of another path that Hawthorne could have taken. Instead of simply giving
in to Hester s seduction, the author makes the point that Dimmesdale could have resisted Hester s
attempts of seduction. This would have driven the story and would have created a more realistic
situation for the reverend. Another allusion the author makes is when he says Abel! Abel! Abel!
Admirable! (Lawrence). Through this biblical reference, he criticizes Hester is portrayed to be an
innocent victim by comparing her to Abel, the son of Adam and Eve and the murder victim of his
brother Cain. Consequently, Laurence criticizes that Hester is too much of a victim and that this trait
dehumanizes her character and creates a sort of innocent and moral ideal. This builds upon Lawrence s
claim that Hawthorne created Hester with the flaw of being too morally justified and

Mobile Phone Use And Semen Quality
Growing up in a technology based society has its perks, our society has endless amounts of
information at our finger tips. But, the increase in cell phone usage has brought up many concerns
relating to our health. When I think about these health concerns, I think about my mother lecturing
me, Katheryn Paige Leyde, take your phone out of your front pockets right now! I would role my
eyes, and pull my phone out of my pocket. I never really thought of technology as a health hazard, but
my mother had read an article; stating that trends in research show, technology can cause infertility,
hearing loss or even cancer from the electromagnetic field that cell phones give off. Hopefully with
the research I present to you, you too will think twice about the next time you put your phone in your

potentially harmful effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation emitted from mobile phones

A Large Computer Forensics Laboratory
A Coordination Plan is critical to the success of a large computer forensics laboratory. It is necessary
for not only members of the forensics team, but for synchronizing with organizational leads and legal
entities. Most labs are operated under best practices and are structured within a hierarchy from the
investigation assistant, the lab assistant, the lead investigator as well as the project lead. These
positions can be changed based on the case and expertise required. Best practices state that personnel
assignments should be made prior to starting the investigation. The coordination plan should be
discussed at all levels of an organization since the lab needs to comply with the overall rules and
regulations of the organization, but it is also likely that the lab s functions will impact the organization
at some point. Competencies Coordination is critical at the senior leadership level in order to facilitate
continuity of operations plan (COOP) planning. Most facilities that are Information technology centric
focuses primarily on IT contingency plan. The IT contingency plan is a function of the COOP and
must be orchestrated with great care. In order to create a comprehensive COOP, many departments
within the organization must be involved. Finance, managers, network engineers, facilities personnel,
system administrators, and security professionals are key stakeholders during COOP development
process. Coordination with outside organizations is required in order to

Softball Observation
My coach always said that softball was 90% mental and 10% physical. This was what I lived by for
the six years that I played for his travel team, and it made me learn a lot of valuable lessons along the
way. Pushing yourself to be the best that you can be is just as mentally tough as it is physically and
that is where you have to use the motto and become disciplined mentally because it is more important
that the physical part of the game. I chose to observe a softball game, but not just one game with two

teams that can be on totally different skill levels depending on the tournament. After a team plays one
or two pool games the girls run out of the dugout with their bat bags to go and look at the bracket
posted by the concession stand to see when and who they play next. The pool games aren t as serious
as bracket games because the teams do not have to win those but they are important in the sense
because that is where they will place you in the bracket. The A bracket is where every team strives to
be at, those are the best of the best teams. Next down is AA, then B, then BB, and depending on how
large the tournament is it could go all the way down to a CC. As I sat at the game early in the day I
could hear the chants from across the 8 fields at the complex, where each team had different attitudes
about the game they were in. I got cold chills just listening to all of the moms and dads at the games
cheering on their daughters because it reminded me of how intense the games were and how in that

Life Of An Autistic Person

the frustration that comes with having to always depend on someone for simple things such as using

Autistic person. Autism is a big learning, developmental disorder which causes people to mentally and
socially process things slower. As time goes by the number of kids with autism gradually continues to

An example of the physical ways of how they don t interact with others is that they isolate themselves
from everyone else by usually playing by themselves as if they were in their own world. This leads to
their emotional gap of interaction with others to increase as they get older. This causes for them to not
make any emotional attachments to those who care for them. The only emotional connection they have
is either their mother or someone who is extremely close to them. I am extremely close to one of my
autistic cousin whose name is Raul. This emotional connection was built through extensive hours of
interaction which included: playing with him, taking care of his personal needs, as well as learning his
way of speech. It is hard for them to make relationships with others since most of the time they
depend on their parents and/or guardians to know what they want or expect to have. Building an

Quality of Judicial Performance
The quality of judicial performance Quality of judicial performance The performance of judges can be
measured, generally speaking, by the ability of the judges. There are some methods used to measure
the performances of judges for this purpose. These include a review of the past performance of the
judges. Here, the judges are gauged according to citations to prior judgments, affirmation of the
judges by higher courts and the ability to produce and put pressure. The judges may also be measured
by their native talents and experiences whereby issues of the number of years a particular judge has
been working at the lower courts and the quality of the law school they might have attended. Another
measure for the quality of judges is depreciating ability; some judges performance may decline due to
cognitive impairments, while others may gain experience over time. These measures are geared
towards ensuring that a high quality of judicial performance is guaranteed and maintained (Choi et al,
2011). Absolute immunity Absolute immunity involves protection of government officials from legal
action. This protection though does not include the intentional or malicious engagement in criminal
acts by the officer. For example, in the case of King v. Simpson (1999), the parole board members
were given absolute immunity to deny or grant parole (Alarid Carmen, 2010). Qualified immunity

The destruction of the Mongols across Afro Eurasia and the Black Death were the factors in which

Aztec And Mayan Civilizations
Jared Diamond (2005) defined the collapse of a society as a drastic decrease in human population
numbers and/or in political, economic, or social complexity, over a considerable area, for an extended
period of time (p.3). Civilizations have risen and fallen throughout history, however, few collapses
were as spectacular as the those of the three pre Colombian civilizations of Mesoamerica: the Inca, the
Aztec and the Maya. History has been persistent in blaming the Spanish Conquest for the loss of the
Mesoamerican civilizations. And while the arrival of the Spanish did cease the development of these
cultures in a dramatic and definitive way, in hindsight, each of these civilizations were lost as a result
of endemic warfare that occurred ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At its core the Triple Alliance was a military confederacy that offered protection to neighbours in
return for tribute (Austin Scott 2001, Brumfiel 1983: 273), fostering a dependence on the Triple

beyond the Valley (Brumfiel 1983: 273). By 1502, the Aztec had established a weak dominion from

Skeptics Of The Holy Spirit
To a skeptic the Holy Spirit may seem as another description of God the Father that the Spirit is not a
separate person at all. Some acknowledging the Spirit contend the Spirit is not fully God. However,
Scripture supports the existence of the Trinity, including the person of the Holy Spirit, sharing the
same authority, and power as God the Father and the Son. Through the works of the Spirit, skeptics
can be converted by perceiving the things of God once hidden. Of great importance, Wesley identified
the Holy Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity. That the Spirit of God had all the attributes of
God, and is eternally in communion the fullness of God (Oden, 2012, p.105 106). Our God has said, I
am the Lord; that is my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Spirit is the witness to the adoption of believers into God s family as a joint heir with Christ
(Romans 8:12 16). Wesley describes the Spirit as guiding, rectifying, teaching, purifying and uniting
believers together in the will of God through Jesus Christ (Oden, 2012, p.106). The Bible tells us
while Jesus has ascended above and is seated at the right hand of the Father, the Holy Spirit dwells in
believers here ( Matthew 22:44, Psalm 101:1, Acts 1:5, John 14:17). It is the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit that allows believers to see the truth, and perceive the Spirit himself He is the Holy Spirit, who
leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn t looking for him and doesn t
recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17
(NLT). So it is by the infilling of the Holy Spirit, that one not only experiences works of the Spirit, but
confirmation of the Spirit Himself. In conclusion Scripture confirms the person of the Holy Spirit,
sharing equally in the glory and authority of the Godhead. The Spirit of God possesses attributes
reserved only for Almighty God and reviles the things of God to man, including the presence of the

A Campaign Against Kfc
1) I personally do not support KFC Corporation or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in this
controversy. This is because I myself am not a fan of meat and do not like the taste personally, but I
also do not think it is all right by any means with what they do to the animals. I believe that they are
completely abusing these animals so carelessly and it is extreme animal cruelty. I feel like a majority
of other people would say it is perfectly fine though. This is because many people do like meat and
businesses are going to continue on harming the animals and receiving their meat and selling it to
make profit. People will always continue to buy it because places are providing it for them and they

PETA is also trying their best to make a big deal out of this and draw as much attention as possible for
the animal s own rights and simply to raise awareness on the ongoing problem. I think PETA is
representing a truth with the business and they do have the right to make attacks to get them to make
the change.
6) I absolutely 100% believe that animals have rights because they are alive just like us human beings
are. Animals definitely have emotions and feelings just like we do and can also speak out lout but we
necessarily cannot always figure out what they are trying to portray. I believe since we are human
beings, we should be the ones to make sure animals are safe and can live without being harmed in the
wild or as pets, in other words that can be looked at as our duty.
From the reading of the case and how PETA portrayed KFC being cruel and not handling their
chickens respectfully, I do not think that they protect animal welfare at an acceptable level. They can
definitely make they changes that PETA stated about the business. Either way, many people are going
to have different perspectives about this and may think that what KFC is doing is completely fine

Piaget s Theory Of Cognitive Development
Piaget s Theory of Cognitive Development Piaget s theory of cognitive development consists of four
stages, these stages include the sensorimotor stage, the preoperational stage, the concrete operational
stage, and the formal operational stage. When a person transitions from stage to stage they go through
assimilation, accommodation, and equilibrium. The first stage, the sensorimotor stage, takes place
from birth to two years. Piaget divided this stage into six substages. As an infant, I was always hungry.
I was bottle fed, so I had to develop a simple reflexive behavior, such as sucking the nipple of the
bottle. Simple reflexes refer to the first month after a child is born. At around two or three months old
I experienced a primary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first substage occurs between the ages of two to four. As a child, I often played with tea sets and
my friends and I would have little tea parties. When the glasses of the tea sets would touch and make a
sound, we would say the glasses were hitting each other. This represents animism, because glasses are
inanimate objects that cannot actually hit each other. The second substage begins at the age of four and
ends at the age of seven. When I was this age, my favorite word was why, I would always ask
questions. I had to know why things happened when they did. For example, when I first saw an
ambulance drive by, I asked why there were sirens going off on the car. Our car obviously didn t have
sirens when we drove, so I wanted to know why that ambulance made noise. This represented intuitive
thought, because I showed interest in reasoning in why the ambulance was different from our car. The
third stage is the concrete operational stage, which lasts from seven to eleven years of age. In this
stage, children begin to reason when the logical reasoning can be applied to concrete examples. An
example of this for me was when I would eat candy with my friends, we all wanted the same amount
so everything would be fair. According to Piaget, if we could decipher the amounts correctly even if
the candy pieces were different shaped, we would be successful at completing concrete

Guy Montag In Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradbury
The book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, is about a fireman name Guy Montag. He does the
opposite of what firemen does, he starts fires instead of putting them out. What he really loves about
his job is burning books. He s against society just like all the other firemen, at least for now. In the
beginning Montag is active in society. It was a pleasure to burn, says Montag as he gladly burned
books(Bradbury 1). This evidence shows how he loves to burn books. A lot of things he mention
determined how he feels and what he feels is nothing at all. For example to shove a marshmallow on a

Every July the LDS church puts on an Easter pageant called Jesus the Christ, which shows the story of
Joseph Smith and his discovery of the golden plates. I also learned that those who practiced the
Mormon faith were persecuted. At the beginning of its founding, the Mormon faith had about 40
supporters and by 1831 there was more than 71 people who were Mormons in Ohio. However, the
Mormons were chased away from Ohio. Along with Joseph Smith another famous supporter of the
Mormon faith was Brigham Young, a penniless carpenter who had been looking for direction when his
wife was near death, discovered Joseph Smith and Mormonism. Young felt that he had found the right
church and decided to convert to Mormonism. Joseph Smith continued to express locals by saying that
with Mormonism you could talk to God and have a personal relationship. In 1831, he sent out
missionaries to get more converts. In 1833 the first Mormon temple was built in Kirtland, Ohio and by
1837 there were more than 3,000 converts. However, when Smith lost some money, many of his
followers believed that he was an unfit leader and questioned if he was indeed a profit. The Mormons
from 1831 to 1844 established numerous Mormon churches in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois. However,
the Mormons experienced a time known as the Dark Ages in which the Mormons drew hostility and

conducted. In a study conducted by the University of Cambridge with help from the Denver, Colorado
police department, complaints have dropped by 47% (Zercoe n.p). According to Zercoe, 105 Denver
officers were equipped with body cameras from June 1, 2014 to December 21, 2014 (n.p). The study
in Rialto, California found that complaints dropped from 24 in 2012, to three in 2013. New Carrolton
police chief stated, We had one person make a claim and we explained to them that we would check
the video on the officer s interaction. When they heard we had video, they changed their mind and
they didn t want to complain (n.p). Civilian behavior has improved with the use of body cameras. In
fact, there are less complaints and civil conversations between an officer and civilian because of the

With the use of body cameras, video recordings of law enforcement encounters involving civilians

of the positive things about embracing nationalism while giving only one small negative point. The
positive points clearly prevail over the negative point which helps show the reader the author s
position on this issue. It can be seen that only self determined countries are legitimate. The
government that runs the nation state, achieves this self determination by gaining and keeping the

After the coup d état, a military General was able to get in control of the country. With his
motivational speeches and his recognition from the battles he has won, he was able to gain the trust of
the citizens and the army. From seeing what the Germans were doing the General decided to do the
same and expand Japan. This led to the invasion of China and the start of the Pacific War. It can be
noted that nationalism is not necessarily good; it can lead to major wars and the deaths of many
innocent citizens, furthermore; it can also lead to a total annihilation of a race. It can also be seen
throughout history that genocides were also caused by ultra nationalism. In 1994 a terrible incident
has occurred and that would be the Rwanda genocide. The two groups that were involved in this are
the Tutsi and Hutu group. The Tutsi and Hutu had animosity between them and deeply desired to kill
each other. Their ultra nationalistic views helped accumulate their anger towards each other. This led
to the Hutu s planned assassination on their president. They were able to use this as an excuse in order

Examining The Place Of The Russian Minority
Examining the Place of the Russian Minority in Latvia: Aliens, non citizens or stateless persons?
Introduction
The region of Latvia has a long history of occupation by foreign powers and so its ethnicity is quite
varied. The Latvian Republic is one of the Baltic States located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Along
with its neighbours Lithuania and Estonia, Latvia gained independence from the Soviet Union in
1991. It is when Latvia gained its status as an independent state that the most crucial period for the
Russian speaking residents began, as at that time the country s main issue was the status of its 1.1
million Russian speaking residents. Under Latvia s 2000 census (Heleniak, 2006), 30 per cent of the
country s 2.4 million population ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The year independence was restored was defining for many thousands of Russians permanently living
in Latvia. On 3rd March 1991 a nonbinding advisory referendum took place with the result that 73%
of all Latvian residents supported the notion for independent Latvia (Troitsky, 2011). The Popular
Front of Latvia, the national movement which was promoting the idea of segregation, advocated that
all permanent residents will be entitled to and qualified for Latvian citizenship (Melvin, 1995, p. 34).
All those who want to be citizens of Latvia can be (Lieven, 1997, p. 304) stated Anatolijs Gorbunovs,
Chairman of the Latvian Supreme Council. However, the universal citizenship for all permanent
residents was not adopted. Latvia restored the rights and status only for those persons who were
identified as citizens under the 1919 Law together with their descendants (Aleinikoff Klusmeyer,
2001, p. 31). Thereby, for the majority of ethnic non Latvians citizenship was not granted, even when
the biggest portion of them were born in Latvia. This was seen as an attempt to suppress national
extinction (Mole, 2012, p. 89 90) caused by, according to the radicals in Latvia, the Russian people.
Those people became non citizens not holding citizenship to any other country and without the right to
vote. In Latvia as well as in Estonia the Russian population is seen as a reminder of their unhappy past
(Best, 2013, p. 34), thus the Russian people are not welcomed

The Financial Difficulties Of The Insolvency Firms Are...
Insolvency firms are becoming increasingly familiar with the restructuring and regeneration of local
pharmacies due to the increased financial pressures in the changing landscape of the industry. There
are approximately 4,022 pharmacies in Australia that inject $16.2 billion worth of revenue into the
economy each year (IBIS World, 2015). Despite this, a combination of lowering prices and
intensifying competitive pressures has resulted in an increasing number of bankruptcies in the
industry, a notable example being the Pulse Pharmacy Group (IBIS World, 2015). In 2012, Guild
President Kos Sclavos reported that 120 pharmacies had gone bankrupt in the past year and a further

The pricing structure of prescription drugs is regulated through the Pharmaceuticals Benefit Scheme

Government in 1950 with the aim to lower the cost of drugs to the Australian Public (IBIS World,

industry as 62% of revenue comes from these products (KordaMentha 2015). The government
establishes an Approved Price to Pharmacists that they will reimburse to pharmacies, however the
pharmacies themselves can negotiate lower purchasing costs from drug suppliers so that the profit
margin is increased as displayed in Figure 3 (KordaMentha, 2015). Pharmainfocus reported that in

Figurative Language In Anne Bradstreet s To My Dear And...
Anne Bradstreet s poem, To My Dear and Loving Husband, is a small poem wherein she s revealing
her never ending love, devotion, and appreciation for her spouse. The fact that she was born around
the seventeenth century could mean it is puritan culture for women to remain reserved, regardless of
how they may truly feel; however, she makes it her obligation to make her husband aware of feelings,
whether positive or negative. She uses figurative language and declarative tone through imagery,
repetition, and paradoxes to send her message. To My Dear and Loving Husband can be interpreted in
many ways by many different people depending how it is initially read. This uncertainty allows the
poem to be interpreted on a surface level and on a deeper level.
One can sense the sincere meaning in poem on a literal level. A literal meaning of
Bradstreet s comes across when analyzed solely on the surface. It is initially assumed that she is
expressing her sincerest, undying love for husband. The poem opens with two if/then statements,
which sets up quite a logical tone. In the first line of her poem she states, If ever two were one, then
surely we (1). This line entertains the belief that she and her husband are one entity; what happens to
one, will happen to the other. Also, the speaker says that if two people were ever one person, then she
and her husband surely are. In the second, she says that if ever any man has been loved by his wife,
her husband has been. (2). As stated

decisions and choices you make. This stems from the thought that you can be or do anything as long
as you work hard enough. This concept is known as the American Dream . Though many Americans
have started off at the lower rungs of society and have worked their way to the top, there are still many
who make every effort for a better life, but are marginalized because of their position in society. They
are not granted access to the resources ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His father made a favorable living for his family, he was employed and worked as a Engineer for a
Bangladesh Telephone and Telegraph company, while his mother stayed at home to take care of the
children. Rais adored and loved his mother, Rais described her in the generic uncontroversial way that
women in her milieu so often cast. She was soft spoken modest, deferential to others. ( ) His family
was considered middle class in his country, also they were devout Muslims and cared a lot about
helping out the less fortunate in their community. This is where he gained the knowledge and the
foundations of love and forgiveness, which would endure with him for the rest of his life. Rais, moved
to America to was pursue a IT career, and eventually planned to bring his fiance (that still lived in
India) to America. He hoped to provide them with a better life. Although, the brutal attack by Mark,
caused Rais great agony, (he lost his fiance, lost vision from his right eye, and had a mountain of
hospital bills), he overcame life s adversities, and was willing to forgive Stroman. Bhuiyan, fought for
Mark s liberation from death row, till the day of his execution.
We see within these two stories how our social and cultural background as a child has a strong impact
on the life you continue to live as an adult. This is why it is imperative to make a child s living

The Dramatic Effectiveness and Significance of Act 3,...
The Dramatic Effectiveness and Significance of Act 3, Scene 1 in Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare s
second tragedy Romeo and Juliet was written between 1594 and 1596. The play is set in Verona a city
in the north of Italy. In the play it is portrayed as a small independent country. The prince of Verona
rules the city like a king and everyone obeys him. It is set over a period of four day. Shakespeare got
the idea from a poem by Arthur Brooke called the tragical history of Romeus and Juliet which had
been written in 1562. Shakespeare s version of the story is very similar, but differs in the following
ways. He added characters such as Romeos friend Mercutio; he also made the nurse and Benvolio ...

The scene then moves to a tragic where the audience feels foreboding, sympathetic and worried for the
future of Romeo and Juliet. This scene is also important because the audience learns a lot about the
characters. When Romeo first enters he is happy, peace keeping type of person. He changes a lot
during the scene it starts once Tybalt has killed Mercutio he changes from peace keeping to an angry
feisty person and wants revenge. He says Again, in triumph, and Mercutio slain? Away to heaven,
respective lenity, and fire ey d fury be my conduct now! He then run across the town and finds Tybalt
down a back street where he fights in revenge and anger with Tybalt and for revenge of the killing of
Mercutio. After this Romeo has a feel of guilt and feels worried about what he has done. He feels like
the whole world is against him. Saying O, I am fortunes fool Tybalts character adds a lot of dramatic
force in the scene. He enters the scene ready to fight and asks Mercutio where Romeo is. Mercutio,
thou consortest with Romeo. Tybalt wants to know, as he is so keen to fight with Romeo, as he is
annoyed with him after appearing at the party and Romeo having been with Juliet. Mercutio then
persists to be sarcastic and Tybalt still acts matcho and big but challenges Mercutio to a fight. I an for

Budweiser s Brewing Merger
Anheuser Busch made a offer of $107 billion for Miller, which is the most awaited deal and within
this deal both of the largest brewing companies will combine and share the profit. Inorder to have
approval, Coors Brewing will acquire more than half of Miller s stake in MillerCoors for over ten
billion dollars, which would give them the rights to Coors Light and Blue Moon. Budweiser plans on

White House Lawn
If you re wondering why the White House lawn looks particularly lovely this week, the answer lies
behind the hard work of an 11 year old boy. That s right whether you believe it or not, President
Donald Trump let Frank Giaccio, a grade six student and budding entrepreneur, mow the White House
lawn. Talk about working with high profile clients... Curious how the young businessman got Trump
and the White House lawn on his resume? How d he get the gig? How on earth did an 11 year old boy
land the all time gig of mowing the White House lawn? The answer s pretty simple: he wrote Trump a
letter. In the letter, Frank shared his admiration for Trump as both the President and a business tycoon.
He then goes over the details of the business he s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What did Trump think? While Frank spent most of his morning getting the White House lawn in tip
top shape, President Trump was getting ready to take a peek at the 11 year old s efforts. As Frank
made his way through the Rose Garden, he was so hard at work he didn t even notice the President
was standing right next to him taking a look at his lawn care duties. That s the real future of the
country right there we re lucky, Trump said. Maybe he ll be President someday. Trump must have
been impressed, because shortly after the lawn was finished he congratulated Frank and gave him a
well deserved high five. The press loves it! Whether it s a kind hearted move from Trump or a smart
tactic for some free White House lawn care, it s pretty clear the press loved Frank s story. At a press
conference later that afternoon, Frank joined press secretary Sarah Sanders, taking the time to thank
his father, Sanders, and of course, Donald Trump for the once in a lifetime experience. When reporters
asked Frank if he would consider mowing their lawns, Sanders made a quick integration, joking that
he could charge double because he s now part of the

How Discipline Is Not Easy
Discipline has always been, to me, a thought of growing in yourself or in this case growing in your
relationship with Christ. Discipline is not easy, in fact, it is hard, but the results are what we discipline
ourselves for. Celebration of Discipline was a very eye opening and insightful book in many aspects.
Foster, the author, describes spiritual discipline as an inward and outward reality. Meaning, the inner
and outward attitude of the discipline. The bible uses spiritual discipline to describe fasting, prayer,
worship, and even celebration. When Jesus spoke of spiritual discipline, he hardly gives instruction of
how to discipline ourselves spiritually. This book book gives more of an outline/guidance to types of
disciplines that could help you in your spiritual journey. There are three types of disciplines discussed
in this book, along with many sub categories within each type. All these groups are used to help one
form a more well rounded spiritual life. The types are inward, outward, and corporate discipline.
Inward discipline is a type of discipline that focuses on your inner self/spiritual life. This involves
things like praying, meditation, fasting, and studying. Outward disciple is more of what you can do as
an individual to discipline yourself spiritually, such as simplicity, solitude, submission, and service.
These are still self centered but more focused on the outside actions rather than the inside actions.
Finally, we have the corporate discipline. This

Robber Barons By John Davison Rockefeller And Andrew Carnegie
Robber Barons such as John Davison Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie were a large part of the
propelling force that led the United States into a new frontier, setting the standard for the American
dream. These men were known for their ingenuity, intuition, and innovation as business men. Each
setting a high standard in their field, these men set out to accomplish greatness by revolutionizing their
industry. They were known in history as the first men to become giants of the industrialized world,
they created a new ear, and with it legacies that have lasted centuries.
John D. Rockefeller founded the Standard Oil company, and became one of the wealthiest men in the
world, propelling America into a new frontier. In the 19th century, kerosene was highly demanded,
and there were small kerosene manufacturing companies all over the United States. Rockefeller s early
life was no near the upbringing of a billionaire. His father began as a peddler working to make ends
meet as his mother raised his brothers and sisters. He was given a $100 loan to buy a small boat, but
by 1870, he established the Standard Oil company. In only 10 years, Rockefeller owned 90% of the
U.S s oil refineries. During this time, many accused Rockefeller as participating in unethical business
practices. He collaborated with major railroads to eliminate his competition and used predatory
pricing as well as horizontal integration to monopolize the entire oil industry. In 1886, Rockefeller
took out a loan to buy

The Spies Of The Revolution
Spies of the Revolution The American s and the British had many tactics to solving the enemy s plans.
One way of solving this was hiring Spies. Spies did everything from joining the enemy s army, to
volunteering to go behind enemy lines. Spies would risk anything to get the enemy s plan. The Spies
of the Revolution were very important because they helped figure out enemy plans, were willing to
risk it all, and used secret coding to communicate. Spies were not only used by the Americans but the
british used them, too. They had their differences, but they also had many things in common. They
both used invisible ink . Invisible ink consisted of a mixture of ferrous sulfate and water. The secret
writing was placed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was only 21 years old. Spies got the enemy plans by doing many techniques and volunteering. But
these guys were very important for both the British and the Americans. They were risking their life to
give information back to there Army s. If the American spies didn t figure out information for George
Washington we might not have won the Revolutionary War. I respect these guys for going across
enemy lines and doing what they did. Once you figured out the enemy s plan, you basically could do
anything. Washington figured out the routes of the british thanks to his spies, but once he knew that he
attacked from all angles of their route and made them surrender. Spies meant a lot to our country and
to the British colony. Bakeless. Spies of the revolution. Place of publication not identified:
Harpercollins, 1962. Print . There is many spies who were caught but some lived to tell their story. No
one really knows why someone would risk their life for really nothing in return. But we are glad they
did. Now that the spies made history back in the early days of war, spies still exist. They are usually
rare because we have so much better technology. Like drones, many bots, etc. Invisible letters are not
used in today s society nor are mask letters. Most likely because of the modern society s knowledge
and they are more cautious than the old days. We would like to

Static Stretching Research Paper
Stretching and holding a muscle in an elongated position for an extended period is called static
stretching, the amount of time of each stretch can vary but is usually between 20 60 seconds. The
muscle is typically stretched to its end range based on the patient s sensory response. This type of
stretch can be performed actively or passively and is generally repeated four to five times on each
side. Static stretching is effective for increasing flexibility and has a low risk of exceeding the
extensibility limits of a joint. Because static stretching involves a slow and controlled movement, the
patient maintains control and reduces the risk of soft tissue tearing.
Static stretching can be used in a physical therapy clinic depending on a patient s

  • 2. The Park On The Terrace Essay Outside on the terrace, floated seven six foot high sculptures in the form of floats seen in figure two. Robert Breer designed the floats with the unique ability to be moved around while emitting sound. The sound was emitted from a battery operated tape recorder that was placed inside each float. The recorder played different sounds including humpback whale songs, low sawing sounds, and a truck starting up and driving away. When one visited the Pavilion, they could experience the Robert Breer s floats as they moved leisurely around the plaza. When the floats collided with an obstacle or were intentionally pushed, they would reverse direction. The components of these floating islands could only be activated with the participation of the public, the environment designed cannot exist or be fully rationalized without the involvement of the visitor. A walk through the Pepsi Pavilion reveals a white tunnel at the edge of the dome and it is at this point where every visitor that walks in is handed a walkie talkie like handset that can pick sounds from amplifiers under the floor. At the entrance, a tunnel descends into a clam shaped room which was dark and lit only by mobile patterns of laser light. People first entered the pavilion through the Clam Room, met by a laser deflection system which projected colors from a krypton laser. Lowell Cross designed the psychedelic system which introduced visitors to the multimedia aspect of the Pavilion. In its conception, Robert Whitman ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But with each story, we write we are discovering an all too common thread woven into Marc Ching character and that is the ability to lie and evade about what really transpires in reality, which if confirmed would have a tremendous impact on how he is judged by his fanatics. The Walt Disney Corporation over the past century has become a phenomenon of its own, transcending into the lives of families globally. Recently, a popular trend has been to reinvent their one time classic films, Sleeping Beauty for instance. With the release of Maleficent, Disney sought to change the perception of the film and retell the story with a new spin. Evidently, a change this large caused mixed reviews in the reception of the film. However, one group that was strongly appreciative of the new rendition was that of feminism. Through this, it is reasoned that Disney is engaged in issues surrounding both civilization collapse and the feminist agency within all this. The article further promotes that nature is subjected to be beneath culture as industrialization is at the root of the degradation of the natural environment. The idea is paralleled within Maleficent, between the Kingdom of Stefan and the Moors. The queer relations aspect is promoted through Aurora and Maleficent s atypical relationship, which ultimately bridges the gap between the two kingdoms, unifying culture and nature. The argument pursued in Imagining Ecofeminist Communities via Queer Alliances in Disney s Maleficent is strongly clarified through supporting works. The ecofeminism idea that is pushed outlines the cross between environmentalism and feminism. Environmentalism analyzes work to analyze why nature is treated inferior to culture while the feminist movement shows interest in uncovering why women are treated inferior to men. Instead of simply giving in to Hester s seduction, the author makes the point that Dimmesdale could have resisted Hester s attempts of seduction. This would have driven the story and would have created a more realistic situation for the reverend. Another allusion the author makes is when he says Abel! Abel! Abel! Admirable! (Lawrence). Through this biblical reference, he criticizes Hester is portrayed to be an innocent victim by comparing her to Abel, the son of Adam and Eve and the murder victim of his brother Cain. Quality of Judicial Performance The quality of judicial performance Quality of judicial performance The performance of judges can be measured, generally speaking, by the ability of the judges. There are some methods used to measure the performances of judges for this purpose. These include a review of the past performance of the judges. Here, the judges are gauged according to citations to prior judgments, affirmation of the judges by higher courts and the ability to produce and put pressure. The judges may also be measured by their native talents and experiences whereby issues of the number of years a particular judge has been working at the lower courts and the quality of the law school they might have attended. According to Pollard, by the mid sixteenth century the Mughals controlled the northern Indus river valley; the Safavids occupied Persia; and the Ottomans ruled Anatolia, the Arab, world, and much of southern and eastern Europe, (Pollard, Pg. 391). The Ottoman Empire lasted the longest of the three up until the early twentieth century due to their politics, religion tolerance, and develop of commerce. The Ottoman Empire s politics were very clever to achieve rapid success because its structure was based on adaptation and attractions. • 25. Skeptics Of The Holy Spirit To a skeptic the Holy Spirit may seem as another description of God the Father that the Spirit is not a separate person at all. Some acknowledging the Spirit contend the Spirit is not fully God. However, Scripture supports the existence of the Trinity, including the person of the Holy Spirit, sharing the same authority, and power as God the Father and the Son. Through the works of the Spirit, skeptics can be converted by perceiving the things of God once hidden. Of great importance, Wesley identified the Holy Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity. That the Spirit of God had all the attributes of God, and is eternally in communion the fullness of God (Oden, 2012, p.105 106). Our God has said, I am the Lord; that is my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Spirit is the witness to the adoption of believers into God s family as a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:12 16). Wesley describes the Spirit as guiding, rectifying, teaching, purifying and uniting believers together in the will of God through Jesus Christ (Oden, 2012, p.106). The Bible tells us while Jesus has ascended above and is seated at the right hand of the Father, the Holy Spirit dwells in believers here ( Matthew 22:44, Psalm 101:1, Acts 1:5, John 14:17). It is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that allows believers to see the truth, and perceive the Spirit himself He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn t looking for him and doesn t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. John 14:17 (NLT). So it is by the infilling of the Holy Spirit, that one not only experiences works of the Spirit, but confirmation of the Spirit Himself. • 27. Piaget s Theory Of Cognitive Development Piaget s Theory of Cognitive Development Piaget s theory of cognitive development consists of four stages, these stages include the sensorimotor stage, the preoperational stage, the concrete operational stage, and the formal operational stage. When a person transitions from stage to stage they go through assimilation, accommodation, and equilibrium. The first stage, the sensorimotor stage, takes place from birth to two years. Piaget divided this stage into six substages. As an infant, I was always hungry. I was bottle fed, so I had to develop a simple reflexive behavior, such as sucking the nipple of the bottle. Simple reflexes refer to the first month after a child is born. At around two or three months old I experienced a primary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first substage occurs between the ages of two to four. As a child, I often played with tea sets and my friends and I would have little tea parties. When the glasses of the tea sets would touch and make a sound, we would say the glasses were hitting each other. This represents animism, because glasses are inanimate objects that cannot actually hit each other. The second substage begins at the age of four and ends at the age of seven. When I was this age, my favorite word was why, I would always ask questions. I had to know why things happened when they did. For example, when I first saw an ambulance drive by, I asked why there were sirens going off on the car. Our car obviously didn t have sirens when we drove, so I wanted to know why that ambulance made noise. This represented intuitive thought, because I showed interest in reasoning in why the ambulance was different from our car. The third stage is the concrete operational stage, which lasts from seven to eleven years of age. In this stage, children begin to reason when the logical reasoning can be applied to concrete examples. An example of this for me was when I would eat candy with my friends, we all wanted the same amount so everything would be fair. According to Piaget, if we could decipher the amounts correctly even if the candy pieces were different shaped, we would be successful at completing concrete ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Popular Front of Latvia, the national movement which was promoting the idea of segregation, advocated that all permanent residents will be entitled to and qualified for Latvian citizenship (Melvin, 1995, p. 34). All those who want to be citizens of Latvia can be (Lieven, 1997, p. 304) stated Anatolijs Gorbunovs, Chairman of the Latvian Supreme Council. • 48. How Discipline Is Not Easy Discipline has always been, to me, a thought of growing in yourself or in this case growing in your relationship with Christ. Discipline is not easy, in fact, it is hard, but the results are what we discipline ourselves for. Celebration of Discipline was a very eye opening and insightful book in many aspects. Foster, the author, describes spiritual discipline as an inward and outward reality. Meaning, the inner and outward attitude of the discipline. The bible uses spiritual discipline to describe fasting, prayer, worship, and even celebration. When Jesus spoke of spiritual discipline, he hardly gives instruction of how to discipline ourselves spiritually. This book book gives more of an outline/guidance to types of disciplines that could help you in your spiritual journey. There are three types of disciplines discussed in this book, along with many sub categories within each type. All these groups are used to help one form a more well rounded spiritual life. The types are inward, outward, and corporate discipline. Inward discipline is a type of discipline that focuses on your inner self/spiritual life. This involves things like praying, meditation, fasting, and studying. Outward disciple is more of what you can do as an individual to discipline yourself spiritually, such as simplicity, solitude, submission, and service. These are still self centered but more focused on the outside actions rather than the inside actions. Finally, we have the corporate discipline. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Static Stretching Research Paper Stretching and holding a muscle in an elongated position for an extended period is called static stretching, the amount of time of each stretch can vary but is usually between 20 60 seconds. The muscle is typically stretched to its end range based on the patient s sensory response. This type of stretch can be performed actively or passively and is generally repeated four to five times on each side. Static stretching is effective for increasing flexibility and has a low risk of exceeding the extensibility limits of a joint.
