This document contains lessons on leadership for teachers presented by Aravinda K. It includes various quotes and advice related to teaching, leadership, and personal development. Some key points covered are:
- Teachers should inspire students and ensure they have the qualities they expect to see in students.
- Different branches of engineering have different cultures that teachers must adapt to.
- A teacher's performance and sincerity are more important than their seniority or position.
- Teachers, students, and administrators all think the education system belongs to them, but it really belongs to society as a whole.
The document provides advice to help teachers improve and focus on serving students effectively.
Academic Staff College of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad organized an Orientation Programme, for University Teachers, from the Information Technology area. A half-day session was allotted for two topics, viz. Becoming a Better Teacher and Values in Education. The facilitator, i.e. my self, feels that the inclusion of these two topics is done with a view to motivate the teachers to teach with greater commitment. Values, in any field of activity, constitute a very important aspect, and particularly in the field of education. Unless a value-orientation is given, education will not serve the intended purpose. Teachers must be motivated to become better teachers, without which the quality of education cannot be improved for generations together. When the teachers realize the important role they are playing, it is hoped that they would raise to the occasion and add love to the responsible job they are doing, and create the necessary impact. It is better to view both the power point presentations. The live recording of the speech can be listened to / downloaded, by visiting www.archive.org and searching for Prof. V. Viswanadham, The two power point presentations can be viewed at www.scribd.com and search for Viswam.vangapally4581, and / or www.slideshare.net/viswanadham
the art of creativity: asking provocative questionsJoyce Hostyn
Since we live in the world our questions create, "the most interesting thing you can do in life... is to call into question the rules of the game.” Questions make the impossible possible, help the unknown become known, and transform paradigms. To transform yourself, transform your organization, or transform the world learn the art of asking provocative questions.

Race & Adoption Part 2: MicroaggressionsKim Hanson
Microaggressions, or the intentional or unintentional casual slurs, remarks, actions that communicate a negative or derogatory stereotype or belief about an individual or group, can leave a lasting imprint. For adoptees most already experience microaggressions based on their adoption status alone, but what about when you are transracially adopted, LGBTQ, identify with special needs, or a religious minority?

These slides are with less text and more pictures, with each slide sequentially related to the next one in an intuitive way, and hence the viewer should follow his/her intuitive skills in order to comprehend the flow. The truth is one, ultimately.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

12. IF THE STUDENT SUCCEEDS, STUDENT GETS APPRECIATED.
IF THE STUDENT FAILS, TEACHER GETS BLAMED.
14. IF YOUR STUDENT-FEEDBACK IS BELOW

15. KNOWLEDGE IS MY GOD.
CLASSROOM IS MY TEMPLE.
WORK IS MY WORSHIP.
16. My advice to students
• I work hard for earning my salary;
you work hard for earning your marks.
• If I am too much strict, you will not talk;
if I am too much lenient, I cannot talk.
• You don’t have to give respect to me;
I have it for myself; you have it for yourself.
• I am paid to talk, and you are paying to listen;
I am at your service; allow me to serve you better.
• Study well for 4 years, and enjoy the next 40 years;

• It is easy, to be abnormal among the normal;
it is difficult, to be extraordinary among the ordinary.

25. KINDNESS IS OFTEN
MISTAKEN AS WEAKNESS.
WE CANNOT BE KIND TO EVERYONE,
AND AT THE SAME TIME,
WE CANNOT BE CRUEL TO EVERYONE.
BY DOING SOMETHING GOOD,
IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS,
AND IF THE EFFECT OF BAD IS MORE THAN THE
EFFECT OF GOOD,
THEN IT IS BETTER
NOT TO DO THAT GOOD THING.

36. THE REASONS FOR IGNORANCE
• FORM AND NAME ARE PROVIDED ONLY TO THE BODY,
BY NATURE AND BY PARENTS, RESPECTIVELY.
• BUT EGO IDENTIFIES ITSELF WITH THE FORM AND
NAME, WHICH IS DUE TO NATURAL MAYA.
• IN ITS NORMAL COURSE OF LIFE, THE EGO DOES NOT
PUT EFFORTS TO UNDERSTAND ITS TRUE NATURE.
• THIS IS DUE TO MENTAL CONDITIONING, WHICH IS
DUE TO SOCIAL MAYA.
37. AT THE LEVELS OF HUMAN CELLS,
THE VITAMINS ARE A,B,C,D,E AND K.
AT THE LEVELS OF HUMAN MINDS,
THE VITAMINS ARE J AND M.
