 Learners tutor other learners.
 Learners learn from the teacher and from other learners.
 Learners are member of group.
Teacher roles:
Teachers as motivator.
Teachers as source person.
Feedback provider.
 The forms of materials : Functional text,
grammar and vocabulary.
 Report text is a text which presents information about
something as it us.
 The purpose if report is to describe the way things are,
with references to a range of natural, animals or plants
and social phenomenon in environment.
 General structure:
 General classification: It introduces the topic of the
report. In other words, it states classification of general
aspects of things, animals, plants etc.
 Description/identification: It includes parts, qualities,
habits or behaviours (if living things) and uses.
THE MATERIALS
 Grammatical features:
 Use simple present tense.
 Focus on general participants, for example birds (not
particular bird).
 The language of report text is fact. There is no expression
of opinion and reference to the reader.
 Use technical terms. Noun which are often used in report
text are characteristics, features, types, uses, functions,
etc.
THE MATERIALS
 Bird is vertebrate animals that have feathers and wings. Birds are
the only vertebrate animals which can fly. Birds have thousands of
species that spread across the world starting from the smallest birds
such as hummingbird and the largest birds such as the ostrich.
Although birds are the only vertebrates that can fly, there is also a
kind of bird that cannot fly like chickens, penguins and ostriches.
 Its body is covered with feathers which have diverse functions and
colors. Bird’s beak has also so many different forms adapted to their
food. For example, falcons have powerful beaks and sharp used for
tearing shreds of meat while the hummingbird has a small beak and
long used for sucking honey.
 Bird is a kind of vivar animals. Vivar is the type of animals that
reproduce by means of producing eggs. Birds can produce many eggs
in every spawn. Before hatching, the egg will be incubated during a
specific period of time. For example: chickens incubate its egg for 21
days before hatching.
