Self-Introductory Speech (Public Speaking)
1. Self-Introductory Speech
Former American writer, Lewis G said “The game of life is a lot like football”. A football player will be meaningless on the fields without a
coach, teammate, and ball. A coach always encourages the player and serves as an inspiration. Teammates assist each other to reach the
victory, and the ball makes the game interesting. Like this player and the coach, teammate and the ball, you can get a sense of my growth
by looking at my family, my friends and my interests.
The coach represents my family. A coach evaluates the player just like my family evaluates me. My dad, my mom and my sister remind
me the progress I’m making and help me to correct my behaviors. I often share my problems to my family and they help me to solve it.
As a coach guide his player, my family guide me to live in the right way.
Teammate represents my friends, who have assisted me to improve and grow. All of my friend either my friends on campus or my
childhood friends acts as a support system to bring me through the rough pitches. They strengthen me when I’m under the pressure.
They give me advice about my problems, even though, in reality they couldn’t solve their own problems. They also inspire me to be a
better person. The reason why I love my friends so much is because they are honest and trustworthy; we pass the tough times together
and mentor each other to reach our goals in life.
The ball represents my interests. Have you ever wondered a football without a ball? You can’t have a game without a ball, so can’t my
life, if I have no interest, my life would be meaningless. I have a lot interests in this life, such as football, music, galaxy and conspiracy
theories in this world. My interests make me realize how amazing and beautiful our lives are.
I thank God for every people and everything in my life. I remember what kind of person I was in my past and if it’s not beca use of my
family, my friends and my interests, I wouldn’t be the person who I am today. Luckily, because of my coach, teammate and ball, I have
confidence to score my points when I get the opportunity.
