LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- To keep practicing the names of fruits and vegetables.
- To develop their love for reading and story listening and story telling.
- To acquire new vocabulary related to food items as well as new structures.
- To practice the reading, writing and speaking macroskills.
WARM-UP:
- The teacher will begin the class greeting the students through a short
rhyme.
- The teacher will give each student a badge with their name.
- The teacher will begin the lesson writing down the date and the name
of the short story on the board.
“THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR PROJECT”
2. FIRST ACTIVITY
- The teacher will show students ‘’The very hungry caterpillar’’ animated
video.
- After watching the video, the teacher will give pupils a photocopy in
which they will have to cut and paste images in order according to the
sequence of the story.
- The teacher will invite students to retell briefly the story following the
images.

Material: Videoandphotocopyprovidedbythe teacher.
Timing: 10 minutes.
SECOND ACTIVITY
- The teacher will ask students to form groups of four.
- The teacher will provide students a sheet of cardboard in which they
will have to complete blank spaces and re-tell parts of the story by
drawing and colouring.
- All the sheets of cardboard from each group will be joined in order to
create a big book.
- The project will be finished the next class.
