1. HUMAN FREEDOM

2. Human Freedom
◦We consider these and other laws as limiting our
freedom. We want to make a U-Turn but we are not
free to do so because of the sign. In school, there
other prohibitions.

3. Human Freedom
◦Even in our own homes, our parents impose
prohibitions.

4. What is Freedom?
◦The power or right to act,
speak, or think as one
wants without hindrance
or restraint.

5. What is Freedom?
◦“Freedom” means many things to
many people. Freedom can mean
having the opportunity to vote for
particular ideas or for people who best
represent our views. Freedom can refer
to the concept of freedom of speech: the
ability to freely voice personal opinions
or perspectives.

6. What is Human Freedom?
◦Human freedom is a
social concept that
recognizes the dignity of
individuals and is defined
here as negative liberty or
the absence of coercive
constraint.

7. What is Human Freedom?
◦Because freedom is
inherently valuable and
plays a role
in human progress, it is
worth measuring carefully.

8. Human Freedom
◦Human freedom connotes
the power to do deliberate
actions based on our
reason and will.

9. Human Freedom
◦Through the reason, we use our
ability to judge our action: we
make the decision to perform the
act or not. An act is deliberate
when we are responsible enough
to face its consequences.

10. Human Freedom
◦We must that the practice of
human freedom cannot be
separated from responsibility. As
we demand our right to freedom,
we also required to respect the
right of others

11. Human Freedom
◦If we practice our freedom to
the detriment of other people,
we are not using our freedom
responsibly. We are abusing our
freedom.

12. Human Freedom
◦Freedom to do what we want
must be tempered by our respect
for the other person. We abuse
our freedom, we also destroy our
harmonious relationship with
other people.
