Leonardo Da Vinci accomplished much in his life, working as a scientist, engineer, mathematician, painter, inventor, botanist, musician, writer and sculptor. He kept over 5,000 pages of notebooks documenting his work and observations, writing in mirror-writing for privacy. His most famous painting is the Mona Lisa, which took years to complete and remained in his possession until his death, later being sold to the French King and housed in the Louvre.
