Elie Saab is a self-taught Lebanese couturier born in 1964 in Beirut. He opened his first atelier in Beirut at age 18 and had his first fashion show at the Casino du Liban. Saab designs reflect traditional Lebanese customs as well as European fashion influences. He is renowned for his wedding gown designs and has dressed celebrities like Halle Berry. Saab continues to operate establishments in his hometown of Beirut while expanding worldwide.
