Initial Idea
 As a group we have chosen to pursue
  the theme of media representation/mis-
  representation in society.
 In researching this we have come
across Jean Baudrillard and some of his
  theory’s and have thought about
  incorporating these into our piece.
Jean Baudrillard:
Key Principles that relate to our piece
 Simulacra: When a sign loses its relation to
relation to reality, it then begins to simulate a
    simulation.
 Simulation: The process in which a representation
of something comes to replace the thing which is
    actually being represented. the representation
then becomes more important than 'the real thing.'
 Hyperreality: Division between "real" and
simulation has been collapsed, therefore an
illusion of an object is no longer possible because
the real object is no longer there.
Hyperreality
 Hyperreality can occur on a simple basis
for example a reality T.V star characterizes
themselves based on characters from soap
opera’s which base their characters on
those of “real life”. Thus making the original
  idea of “real life” obsolete.
