I thought that Lyon did a good job of keeping the reader engaged in the story
through the many dialogues, and in my opinion that made it easier to read. I also
thought that she did a good job of keeping the historical information relevant to the
story, because I think you can get a good understanding of how life was in ancient
Greece by reading this book. I do think that this helped me think differently about
this era in history because before reading this I did not have a really good
understanding of ancient Greece and I wasn t really interested in learning about it
at all, but this book made it very easy to get me to want to learn more about this
era. If someone I knew wanted to learn about ancient Greece I think that I would
recommend this book to them because it is an easy read, although it is a little long.
But, I do think that someone can get a very good understanding about the history
of this time period as well as being entertained by the narrative. I think the way
Lyon wrote the story into a narrative made it more interesting, rather than just
having to read facts. Dialogue and interactions between characters make stories a
lot easier to read and they also keep the audience way more engaged. The only thing
that I did not like about this book was how there were many flashbacks from

The Holocaust was a horrific event in our history and should be studied today to
insure that these events never happen again. There are several factors and parts of the
Holocaust that are cruel and demeaning you would be able to study. Dehumanization
of the Jews during the Holocaust pushed them to their absolute limit of starvation,
disease, and cruelty, which showed the inhumane acts people are capable of. Also,
bringing the Jewsback a step in evolution, the cruelty and harsh conditions inflicted
upon the Jews reversed their evolvement and civilized behavior. Overall, the

felt that he had learned enough sign language to bring this method of communication
back to the American people. Laurent Clerc agreed to come on the journey back to
the United States with him, teaching him more sign language along the way as

Before I start with my topic, I feel that it is important to thank my instructors, Joey
Battles and Katie Fulton, for such a great assignment. I truly enjoyed researching
my topic of Guillain BarrГ© syndrome (GBS). Now that I have researched this
disease I can now understand and sympathize with my dad, who developed GBS in
2005.
Throughout this paper I am going to discuss four things: what Guillain BarrГ©
syndrome (GBS) is and what it does to the body; signs, symptoms, and etiology of
GBS; how to diagnose GBS; and treatment processes for GBS. First, I will talk
about what GBS is and how it affects the body. Next, I will discuss the etiology of
GBS and some specific things that occur prior to the diagnosis of GBS. Third, I will
talk about how to diagnose GBS. Finally, I will discuss the different treatment options
after GBS is diagnosed.
First, I will talk about what Guillain BarrГ© syndrome (GBS) is and how it affects
the body. GBS is what is called a demyelinating disease, meaning that the myelin
sheath around our nerves gets destroyed or stripped off. GBS can strip the myelin
from the nerves because of an overreaction of the immune system (Sulton, L. L.,
2002). As described by my dad, who had GBS in 2005, antibodies are over
produced when the body gets sick (I will talk more about this when I discuss signs

Chinese took a part in this, and eventually many started moving and flourishing in the
states. Not too long after, the Chinese Execution Act was passed. Surprisingly, many

cultural difference between the Chinese and the Americans which caused lots of

Did music ever reach a point to where all restraints seemed cast off and composers
had the opportunity to express musical freedom? Similar to the emotional and intense
paintings done through this time, the music during the Romantic Period also
expressed heightened passion and paralleled the trends in art. It lasted from circa
1825 1900. Looking at the musicians during this time, the purpose of the music, and
the things that characterized Romantic music, one will see how things changed from
the previous Classical period. Many of the great, famed musicians now known
today lived during the Romantic period. Some of the better known names included
Rossini, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Brahms. Gioachino Rossini,
