1. Persuasive Essay Outline Template
Writing a persuasive essay outline template can be quite challenging. First and foremost, it
requires a deep understanding of the topic at hand. This means conducting thorough research to
gather relevant information and data to support your arguments. Additionally, crafting a
compelling outline requires careful consideration of the structure and organization of the essay.
One must meticulously plan the introduction to hook the reader, present a clear thesis statement,
and outline the main points that will be discussed. Each body paragraph needs to be carefully
crafted to present a strong argument supported by evidence and examples. Transition sentences
are crucial to ensure a smooth flow between paragraphs, guiding the reader through the logical
progression of ideas.
Moreover, addressing potential counterarguments and rebuttals is essential to strengthen the
overall persuasiveness of the essay. This requires anticipating opposing viewpoints and providing
persuasive counterarguments to refute them effectively.
Furthermore, attention to detail is paramount in ensuring coherence and clarity throughout the
essay. From choosing persuasive language and rhetorical devices to structuring sentences and
paragraphs effectively, every aspect of the writing must be carefully considered.
In summary, crafting a persuasive essay outline template demands not only strong writing skills
but also critical thinking, research abilities, and attention to detail. It is a challenging task that
requires dedication and effort to execute successfully.

2. The Multi Location And Multi Period Transshipment
Problem
The multi location and multi period transshipment problem
Fan E
Abstract
In a supply chain, products are not only commonly supplied from suppliers to
retailers, but also transferred between each retailers. This paper considers a model
with one supplier and multiple retailers, in which both replenishment and
transshipment are allowed. Replenishment is the movement of products from
suppliers to retailers; Transshipment is the movement of products within retailers.
This model such leads to two optimization problems relied on each other the optimal
replenishment policy and the optimal transshipment policy. This paper first proves
that under any feasible transshipment policy the optimal replenishment policy of the
model is an order up to S ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Technology development enables the application of transshipment (e.g.,transportation
among retailers) to achieve those goals. In this way, by pooling their inventories
retailers are able to lower necessary inventory levels system widely and improve their
service levels at the same time. In this paper, the optimization of the transshipment
policy is an important part to be considered.
There are two types of transshipment: proactive transshipment and reactive trans
shipment. In proactive transshipment models, transshipment are decided before actual
demands realized, and usually the object of those is to minimizing handling cost.
Almost all of those models are analyzed in periodic review setting, because the start
or end of pe riodic review replenishment models provide the opportunities for
redistributing inventories among all retailer. In reactive transshipment models,
transshipment are incurred as soon

as stockout or potential stockout are observed, and commonly the object of those
models are to maximize profit. Paterson et al. [2011]
The settings of transshipment models also differ on aspects such as the number of
items, the number of echelons, the number of locations, identical locations,
unsatisfied de mands, order policy, pooling, decision making, and transshipment cost
structure. Identical locations means if different retailers share identical cost or
demand structure; unsatisfied demands means how to handle unsatisfied demand
3. Leader Development And Leadership Development
Leaders exist at all levels within an organizational design and should not be
interpreted as only applying to positions of management. Leadership development
programs characterize the institutional desires in creating positive organizational
structure in every realm of the corporation. Recognizing the variation between
different levels of leaders and their contributions, it is critically important to identify
the necessary characteristics of emerging leaders. The knowledge, skills and
abilities necessary to perform satisfactorily at current occupied levels is just as
critical to mission success as readying establishment employees for the next
opportunity. In order to sense levels of excellence, senior leaders can gain a baseline
of capabilities by conducting leadershipand personality profiles of existing employees
and more importantly, decide on principled traits of incoming leaders, which ensures
the culture of leadership that is desired.
It is paramount to understand the difference between leader development and
leadership development (Day, 2001) in addition to the basics of organizational
scanning to enhance the employee experience, directly effecting business outcomes.
Day studied the best practices, as well as, the most current research performed on
leadership development issues, including coaching, mentoring, and 360 degree
evaluations among others, which should be utilized in ascertaining context.
Synchronously, current perceptions of leaders within the

Virginia was named after Queen Elizabeth I because her nickname was Virgin

Elizabeth the crown. The economy was terrible, there was no education for children.
Also she changed the churches from Catholic to Puritan which is a branch of religion

the churches, created an exceptional economy, and made a better education system.

As said in Queens of England England was relatively poor. (Lofts 118). This just
states that before she took the throne it was poor, but from her effort. She gained
support and money to help England through foreign countries. How she did it was
she increased foreign trade and got new traders to be the main source. She also
made friends with foreign countries to become a popular trader. One way she
increased the economy was being diplomatic with France and Spain. She also knew
that if Spain and France did not get along, then there would be no trading between
them. Queen Elizabeth kept courters to help the economy ( Elizabeth I ) She would
never marry, but she kept people around to help her with her foreign relations. Also,
when she kept courted people around to like her so it would balance the continental
powers. It is important to note that England revolved around the question of who she
would marry. It was all about that until they realized she would not marry, but court
others to keep her country at the top. Thus, Queen Elizabeth made the economy better

The Role of the Fool in William Shakespeare s King Lear
In the play King Lear, by William Shakespeare, there are many intriguing characters.
Perhaps the most intriguing of them all is the fool. The fool seems to exist outside
the play appearing and disappearing without warning. The fool is, however, a
necessary character to the evolution of Lear s character, since he is the
personification of truth and reason. The fool serves to show Lear how he is going
insane, as well as to attempt to delay this inevitability. The fool also demonstrates to
Lear the truths about people around him, and tries to point out what treachery and
deceit they wish upon him. When Lear is too far gone to heed the advice and
knowledge of the fool, he vanishes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fool, however, does not tell Lear directly that he is going insane, Then I prithee

to convey his message to Lear. Even when Lear s insanity was causing the fool
discomfort, Blow winds and crack your cheeks! Rage! Blow! Your cataracts and

better than this rain water out o door (III. II. 10 11). He doesn t care about his well
being he just wants to help the King any way he can.
The fool also helps Lear by pointing out certain truths about people, as well as flaws
in his very own actions. After Goneril gives Lear an ultimatum of get rid of the
troops or get out, Lear decides to seek lodgings at the residence of his other
daughter Regan. The fool simply responds by saying, Shalt see thy other daughter
will use the kindly; for though she s as like this as a crab s like an apple, yet I can
tell what I can tell (I. V. 14 16), meaning, she s going to side with her sister and treat
you the same. Later in the play the fool warns Lear about a misfortune which he
predicts could be in the planing, For you know, nuncle, the hedy sparrow fed the

7. The Writer Of James Baldwin
James Baldwin
James Baldwin is an exceptionally writer who tested the water with writing. He
was a writer who was not afraid to talk about new things that most writers of his
time would not do. Most people did not know that Baldwin was actually a part of
the civil rights movement. He was a writer who tried to write out and explain to the
black experience to the white people. Even though he was not talking about as much
as Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, he was a big part of the civil rights
movement. As you read this essay you will see how Baldwin became the writer that
he is known to be today and also why he wrote, also learn about how he opened the
door to thing that most writers of his time would not talk about.
James Baldwin was born on August 2, 1924, in New York in the city of Harlem.
He died on December 1, 1987 in Saint Paul De Vence France. In 1953 he had
published a novel Go Tell It On The Mountain, that had showed his vision on the
topic of race, spirituality, and humanity. He had also created other novels called
Giovanni s Room, Another Country, and Just Above My Head. He was also known
for his essay works such as Native Son and The Five Next Time
James Baldwin is arguably one of the best writer to be born in the 20 century. He
was born to Emma Jones who was a single mother who never told Baldwin who his
dad was. Ms. Jones did get remarried to an another man who was named David
Baldwin, he was a baptist minister and Baldwin looked up to him and called him
8. Rooster Syndrome Research Paper
Ever heard of rooster syndrome? Well, it is a classic illustration of a misconception,
where it was once believed that because a rooster crowed just before dawn every
morning, then its crowing caused the sun to rise. So the form of thinking is: A
occurred, then B occurred therefore, A caused B, hence, rooster syndrome. It is
natural human tendency to assume that if two events or phenomena reliably happen
at about the same time then one is the reason for the other. However, this notion is
simply not true. Just because the crowing rooster and the rising sun seem like they
correlate, does not mean that one causes the other, therefore, correlation does not
imply causation. In this paper there will be an explanation to what distinguishes...

Instead, it is a fallacy to assume that just because two events are correlated they tend
to cause each other also. Unfortunately, it is often a very difficult matter to
distinguish true causal relationship; the only way to get close to finding the truth is
to rule out certain alternative hypotheses, thereby strengthening the case of causation.
Still, this method may be unattainable to a certain extent considering the fact that
there may be multiple factors contributing to an outcome or that some things may
have both a direct and indirect effect, or perhaps, simply acknowledging that there
may be more than just one answer to the

10. Rhetorical Analysis Of I Have A Dream Speech
Back in the 60 s there was only a few people who openly fought for their rights.
They all had different ways with different tones and points, but one man stuck out
most. That man was colored, and his tone could range from inspiring to provoking.
Once he passed, the world was shocked. His name Martin Luther King Jr. and he
changed America. When he passed, another great man felt that peace needed to be
kept in a hard time like this. So, when giving a speech for his campaign, in the
heart of the ghetto, (a white man) he announced the death and by staying calm he
keep the peace present. This man was Robert Kennedy who was later assassinated.
Those two men show how inspiring words really are. Words can mean a lot or a
little just by how you use them. MLK and RFK used Logos, Pathos, and Ethos.
They got calmness, inspiration, and provoked emotions into their audiences
minds. In Martin Luther King s I Have a Dream speech, he uses a lot of Pathos to
inspire his people. He wanted his listeners to help him fight for freedom. He starts
of by saying, But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. Which
means they must fight for their freedom no matter how bad they are treated. This
connects to his inspirational message because he is talking about how they should
still keep their spirits up even tho they are in a bad spot. He later says, I say to you
today, my friends, though, even though we face the difficulties of today and
tomorrow, I still have a dream all because the fact that people had their heads down
at the time still should have hope that they will prevail. His inspiration wasn t the
only this he was known for, but it was one of the reasons his work payed so well.
King also was quite good with provoking change. He used his logic in The Letter
from Birmingham Jail to show the 8 clergymen reading his work that he meant
business. He started off the letter by saying, We have waited for more than 340 for
our God given and constitutional rights which is stated because the fact that blacks
haven t been treated fairly for 340 years and he refuses to see that number rise. He
also called them out by stating that An unjust law is a code that a majority inflicts on
a minority that is not binding

Charles Darwin and the Theory of Evolution
By: Kaitlyn L. Taylor
English 4 Minor research paper
Charles Robert Darwin was born February 12, 1809. Darwin was born into a very
wealthy family and he was a raised in Shrewsbury, England. His dad Dr. Robert
Darwin was a physician. His mother died of an illness when he was only 8 years
old. He was the youngest child out of 6 children. October 1825, Darwin was forced
to go into the study of medicine/physician at Edinburgh University, to follow in his
father s footsteps at the age of 16 along with his brother Erasmus. Two years later,
Darwin gave up medicine due to feeling weak when he saw blood, so his father
arranged for him to go study at a Christ s college in Cambridge. He again, did not
succeed. Darwin began his love for animals and nature as a child. He was fascinated
with their colors, and personality. Later on in life, Charles Darwin became an English
naturalist. He married a lady named Emma Darwin, on January 29, 1839. She was
also his 3rd cousin. They had a total number of 10 children throughout his life and
three of them died at an early age. There are three people who inspired him
throughout his life. One was named Jean Baptiste Lamarck. He was a huge
inspiration to Darwin and probably the greatest inspiration, Lamarck was a French
naturalist and who was one of the first scientist to ever propose that species change
over a long period of time. Charles Lyell was an English geologist that said earth
must be far older than most people in the 1800 s. Finally, Thomas Malthus, was an
inspiration because he influenced many fields of political economy and demography.
Then one day a scientist named Alfred Russel Wallace, a former scientist needed an
assist that is knowledgeable and dedicated enough to go on a long trip over seas.
Darwin was perfect for the job. Darwin went on the trip to study the nature of seas in
Africa, Brazil, and then to Argentina with Alfred Russel Wallace. When Darwin and
Wallace arrived in Argentina, he dug up many skeletons and fossils and had a
thought of what relations do
12. Toyota Group And Its Organizational Strategy
Toyota positioned itself in the American auto market and defined its organizational
strategy as high quality, innovative engineering and producing some of the safest
auto mobiles on the road, and in one fell swoop, the integrity and quality of their
vehicles were not only brought into question, but many consumers looked
elsewhere for their automotive needs. The Toyota group and its subsidiaries has
had a prominence in Japan for years, but the Organization of Arab Petroleum
Exporting Countries (OAPEC) embargo of 1973 allowed Japan to bring its kaizen
work ethic to the US and begin to gain an automotive presence that allowed Toyota
to compete with America s big three: Ford, GM and Chrysler. The big three
controlled the market up until this point and it would take some time but by 1980
Toyota was the fourth leading manufacturer in the US and poised to gain ground
and by 2008 Toyota, Honda and Nissan made prolific jumps with around 32% of
the market share. Unfortunately the economic recession slowed all manufacturers
growth but trends such as forty three year old Hyundai has surpassed 107 year old
Ford in global sells would mark the end of the big three reigns, with GM and
Chrysler taking part in the controversial automotive bailout in 2009. This also
harkened back to the belief those automakers had little vigilance on the market and
their long term control left them vulnerable to better organizational strategies. Market
growth in the US had become stagnant by 2008 so

Essay
Objectives: The aim of this study is to find out the prevalence of neurological
manifestations of falciparum malaria and the outcome of falciparum malaria in
general and of neurological involvement of falciparum malaria in particular.
Materials and Methods:
A prospective cross sectional hospital based study of 125 adult falciparum malaria
patients using simple, direct, standardized questionnaire including history, lab
investigations and neurological examination from January to December 2014.
Results:
The commonest age group affected was 15 30 years (62.4%). 48.6% presented with
neurological manifestations on admission. Altered sensorium was the most frequent
neurological manifestation, followed by convulsions and hiccups. The mortality rate
was very high with neurological manifestations. Case fatality rate was highest with
convulsion. Perception about neurological manifestation was poor among tribal.
Health care providers also failed to diagnose on initial visit.
Conclusion:
Falciperum malaria with neurological involvement is associated with increased
mortality. By documenting different neurological patterns of falciparum malaria
mortality and morbidity rates can be reduced by early diagnosis and management.
Tribals and health personnel should be trained to make them aware of the different
neurological presentations of this disabling disease.
Key words:
Falciparum malaria, neurological complications, mortality.

Assessment One: Interpretation and comparison of online digital objects.
*PLEASE NOTE: As I was unable to find both of these scenes by themselves online,
I have transcribed where they occur in their larger bodies and have attached
screenshots that directly relate to my points.
OBJECT ONE: Projector Scene from the episode Hush, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer,
occurring approximately 27 minutes in.
I have chosen to scrutinize this particular scene as its complete lack of dialogue
allows us to closely examine how non verbal communication is used to convey
meaning. Nonverbal communication between people is communication through
sending and receiving wordless cues (Stephen W. Littlejohn 2009). When we consider
that Individuals are believed to use clothing to define and communicate their social
identities to others (Fienberg 1992), we can attach a wealth of information to the
onscreen characters simply from observing their costumes. Giles blazer allows him to
be viewed as authoritative and mature; Buffy s fashionable outfit is synonymous with
her popular status, whilst Xander s sports Guernsey and sneakers underpin his casual,
outgoing persona. The director of the show uses the
style, branding, colour and fashionability of the clothing as a tool for the audience to
assess their personality traits (Chalky et al, 2012).
Non verbal communication within this scene also manifests itself via kinetic
transmission; that is, posture, eye contact and the

Australian bat Lyssavirus is very similar to that of rabies and has been responsible
for the death of three humans since it was detected in 1996. All three cases were in

and there have been no known cases of the rabies virus occurring in terrestrial

Lyssaviruses, belonging to the family Rhabdoviridae, known to exist worldwide;
however, through experimental inoculation, dogs and cats have shown a relative

17. Character Analysis Of Alice In The Wonderland
Alice in the wonderland is beautifully scripted by LEWIS CAROLL, created a
character of seven years old girl who came across various characters in the story.
Carroll s irrationality possesses an overstated but acceptable similarity to apparent
reality in society. This story of humpty dumpty is also an example for society where
people are so proud on their selves and also shows the fall of the devil for his pride.
Author ultimately derided authoritative individuals with the help of his created
character of humpty dumpty. His exaggerated character of humpty dumpty appears as
a narcissist, meticulous and authoritative character played very well in the chapter.

Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone, it means just what I choose it to

compulsively maintains the spotlight on him throughout the whole conversation
with Alice with his so called great body of wisdom. The pretentious display of
knowledge as well as his rigid devotion to illogical and self made rules is very much
evident in the story. His rigid views on literature clearly make him as a dictator who

President Aristide took office in January of 1991 and was ousted in September of
the same year by his hand picked, chief of staff of the army Lieutenant General
Raoul Cedras and forced to flee the country. International outrage, fueled in large
part by the well publicized flotilla of boat people bound for FloridaВё put Haiti
abruptly in the international spotlight.3 These events set the stage for U.S.
involvement in the Haitian crisis. In 1993, the United Nations (UN) attempted to
negotiate for a peaceful resolution with Gen. Cedras, which proved unsuccessful.
Gen. Cedras would agree to different stipulations, to include stepping down to get
the embargo lifted, and each time he would fail to honor his end. In one such
incident, with few rounds fired, thugs in his employ forcibly prevented an American
ship, the USS Harlan County, from off loading UN troops intended to retrain the
Haitian Army and police force.4 The UN reestablished the embargo, a naval
blockade and passed UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 940, authorizing the
application of all necessary means to restore democracy in Haiti .5 This set the
planning assets in motion for forcible entry into Haiti.
Planning and Preparation In January 1994, the deadline for Lieutenant General
Cedras to step down passed. He did not relinquish power and international pressure
increased for stronger sanctions on Haiti.

with his journey as a biracial child during the time of segregation.
My great grandfather, Joseph Fobbs, is a hero because he has contributed power and
inspiration to this earth, as well as to my very own family. The first stage
encountered by Joseph Fobbs Hero s Journey was The Ordinary World. Joseph
Fobbs felt out of place in the ordinary world because he was born biracial during
the time of segregation. He said he and his family received all kinds of negative
comments including Negro Lover , that little white in you ain t nothing, You still
black , You ain t light enough and death threats. He also mentioned someone
attempted to cut his sister s long curly hair. Those quotes indicate that Joseph felt
out of place because he was always getting rude comments and threats. He also felt
misplaced because he didn t know what to identify as because he was so young and
he was also worried for his safety let alone the safety of his four other siblings and
parents. Around the age of eleven, my great grandfather s family of seven decided to
move to North Carolina attempting to escape the horrific time of segregation, which
means he was Entering The Unknown . During that time North Carolina was

Audience
Review of Literature Target Audience The Magnetic Organizer will appeal to a
young older audience. Both boys and girls can be unorganized, and therefore the
Magnetic Organizer is for both genders. The Magnetic Organizer can appeal to
many students who have trouble being organized in school. Leaving folders,
papers, or homework somewhere are constant struggles of students. Magnetic
Organizers can be used by both amateurs and professionals as both need to be
organized in order to either become a professional, or stay one. The disabled could
probably not use this design, as the main function needed to operate my design is
to pull up the bin from the magnetic lock, and be able to grab whatever is placed
inside of the magnetic binder. This is not a very complex design, so it can be used
without much previous knowledge on how it functions. The concept of the design
can be learned fairly quick. Similar Products Many common products meet the need
as the magnetic organizer. One of the most common are named folders. This
product meets the same purpose as the Magnetic Organizer, although, is very
simple. Papers can fall out if turned upside down, and can cause much stress if done
on accident. Another downside to folder is there small size can cause us to regard
our attention to larger objects, causing the possibility of forgetting the folder
somewhere. Another product is named a bin. A bin can be used to store many items
and papers, although it may not always be very portable,

Beauty can be conveyed using a multitude of factors. From the color of a person s
skin, to their eyes, to even their heart. There are beauty standards, but there are
diversities between what s the official standard and what individuals think is
beautiful. Everyone see things in a different light and America s beauty standards
are no different. The beauty industry has a big impact on females and males.
American s perception of beauty is altered in many different ways based on the
culture, skin color, and influences. The beauty industry has placed many standards
of beauty on people that aren t actually fair or true, and it is destroying the diversity
of beauty. The beauty industry plays a major role in everything beauty related.
Anything from the type of makeup there is to the ways they can make a person
feel about themselves. The beauty industry has only grown since its start. The first
entrepreneurs that developed the beauty industry were men. Recipes and remedies
were apprehended from their wives that were used at home to make products and
print books. The relation of inner and outer beauty was a connection of trade in
drugs and elixirs. Arsenic wafers, a moderate diet, frequent bathing, and exercise
were often recommended (Peiss 17). The make up or elixirs women manipulated
made them appear as beautiful on the outside as they were assumed to be on the
inside. In addition to taking care of oneself. There is no outer beauty if there isn t any

the resentment toward the snooping continues (Zuckerman para 4) The government
does, without a doubt have reason for the NSA s surveillance. Citizens do not always
fully understand legislation before becoming angry at someone. Who better to point a
finger at than their government (Zuckerman para 7)? Despite the actual legal terms
on surveillance, innocent citizens feel that they have had their rights violated and
wonder why the government needs their information if they have nothing to hide.
The supreme court declared in the third party doctrine that anyone turning over
information to a third party, such as a bank or Internet service provider, has no right
to object if that information is later shared with the government (Timberg para 11).
Whether they understand the law or not, most people feel that their information
should not be unnecessarily subjected to the government without their voiced
approval (Zuckerman para 6). Quite simply, the administration could have done a
much better job of explaining both the potential and the limits of data mining. It
should have made it clear
23. Dr Sapolsky Baboon
1. Dr. Sapolsky s research in the Masai Mara National Park of Kenya involved
collecting blood samples from baboons to measure hormones involved in the stress
response. After anaesthetizing the baboon in an unassuming way (to avoid hormones
produced from anticipatory stress) he collected blood samples from their bodies.
What he observed was adrenaline and glucocorticoids dictate the stress response. The
physiological changes to the body during the stress response are the lungs work
overtime to deliver oxygen to the bloodstream, and the heart races to pump oxygen
throughout the body so muscles respond instantly. The blood pressure needs to go up
to deliver energy. The body will turn off anything that is not essential at that moment.

b) The Dutch Hunger Winter is an example of how stress damages us before we are
aware of its presence. Tessa Roseboom concluded our bodies respond to famine in
the same way they respond to other stressors, so she endeavored to research if the
fetuses of the women pregnant during the famine could be affected by stress. She
identified over 2400 people who could have been impacted. Her research revealed
the stresses they underwent as fetuses still impacted them 60 years later. Babies
conceived during the famine have increased risk of cardiovascular disease, higher
hypercholesterolemia, are generally more responsive to stress and are in poorer
health than people born before the famine or conceived after it. Stress hormones in
the mother s blood triggered a change in the fetus nervous system as it struggled to
survive. This was the fetus first experience with stress, and 60 years later their
bodies remembered the trauma. Her discoveries shed light on how it is not just fat
cells that build up in response to stress; brain chemistry, the capacity and ability to
adapt to stress, and how prone one is to psychiatric disorders are all things affected
by our earliest interactions with

low price strategy where this strategy emphasizes on low price products as well as
maintaining the quality of their products. It also focuses on reducing the cost from
their operation to produce lower price products yet good quality. Besides that,
Mydin used low price strategy to attract lower and medium income group in across
Malaysia. Therefore, lower and medium income families are willing to purchase at
lower price and high quality products at Mydin. Nevertheless, Mydin able to
sustain its customers for long period of time and it will increase customer loyalty
through their low price strategy. In addition, this low price strategy may attract
small wholesalers and petty traders in getting cheaper supplies from Mydin. It has
also contributed to the business expansion and is reflected by an increase in
number of wholesalers and petty traders who have registered as their frequent

. Population based search involves evolution of group of points in search space such
as in ant colony optimization and evolutionary computation techniques. The mode of

metaheuristic algorithm. Evolutionary computation and Ant Colony Optimization
belongs to the class of nature inspired whereas tabu search and iterated local search
belongs to the class of non nature inspired algorithms. Metaheuristicalgorithms are
also known as search based techniques or optimization algorithmswhich when
applied to software engineering problems gave rise to Search Based Software
Engineering (SBSE) [3] which reformulates software engineering problems as search
problems. It is a collective attempt to shift from human based search to machine
based search by applying search based optimization techniques. These methods
encompass representation of problem and defining fitness function. SBSE treats
search problem as one where optimal or near optimal solution are sought in a search
space of solution by making use of fitness function that discriminates worse and better
solution. Although many researchers, practitioners have applied search based
optimization to software engineering domain, SBSE term was first coined by
Harman and Jones [3] in 2001 in their work which advocates Search Based
Optimization as a general approach to Software Engineering. A number of SBSE

Sexual abuse causes long lasting effects that follow a person into adulthood. This
results in issues in forming strong and healthy relationships as adults. Furthermore,
when involved a child and a parental figure, these issues become even more
prominent, as they affect relationships both at home and in personal life. Through
her poetry collection, Rupi Kaur expresses her own experience with the sexual
abuse she experienced. The first section of Milk and Honey displays how sexual
abuse affects the way Kaur views sex and love, as well as its affect on her
relationship with her parents. The next three sections follow Kaur s path towards
healing and learning to love herself. Milk and Honey presents the negative effects

In the beginning, Kaur leaves out the identity purposefully because sexual abuse
committed by family members is much more serious and comes as a shock to the
reader, despite it happening in 3 out of 10 sexual abuse cases ( Facts and Statistics ,
N.D.). People often think of perpetrators to be strangers or mere acquaintances.
Therefore, including the information of identity causes more of a sympathetic
reaction in the reader. From this point on, Kaur ties together the idea of family
relations with the effect of the rape. To many, the idea of family brings comfort and
trust. However, in people who experience sexual assault from a family member, the
breach of trust causes difficulty in recovery.
The strain put on Kaur s ties with her family becomes apparent, not only through
her father s actions against her, but also through the words associated with her
mother and father. Kaur describes the relationship between her mother and father as
being one of another form of abuse: emotional. Kaur s father silences her mother,
much as women are silenced in the homes of dominating men. Kaur cannot tell if
her mother is terrified or in love with her father (Kaur, 40). This suggests the lack
of love and trust between all three people in the house, as Kaur s father dominates
both Kaur and her mother. This further affects Kaur s ability to speak out for herself
or to identify warning signs of abusive relationships, as she has learned to normalize
abuse.

In this era of globalization, where we talk about world friendship brotherhood and
world peace, where we intervene in a country, where democracy is not working
well, where military spending is increasing day by day. Where first world country
like USA throwing their surplus food at Atlantic, then millions of people are dying
from hunger in Africa. What kind of justice is this? Is this called free economy, is
this called brotherhood, is this called spreading peace all over the world?

Bangladesh as a developing country also trying to contribute to reduce the imbalance
of food security. But because of so many lacking, Bangladesh cannot move forward.
Though they have taken so many initiatives for food security recently, but those are
not sufficient comparatively to our growing population.
Although food grain is more available in good harvest years, Bangladesh as a
whole still has a very low level of nutrition. This means many households and
individuals do not eat a balanced, nutritious diet, even in good years. According to
the World Bank, approximately 33 million of the 150 million people in Bangladesh
cannot afford an average daily intake of more than 1800 kilocalories (the minimum
standard for nutrition as set by the World Food Program). For people in most
developing countries, the daily calorie average is 2,828. In Bangladesh, that average
is only 2,190.
Poverty is the major factor effecting food security in Bangladesh. Despite the
impressive increases in food grain, around half of Bangladeshis remain below the
established food based poverty line. And, as many as one third are living in extreme
poverty and severely undernourished. Recent food
31. The Search for Truth in Anton Chekhov s The Cherry...
The scholar is engaged in the interminable quest for truth. The knowledge that one
can never understand everything makes a person wise. Ignorance is the assumption
that one can understand all about the world around them. An ignorant person is so
confident they comprehend the truth, that they are blind to the greater truth. Anton
Chekhov and Sophoclesdeal with the idea of this sinful pride that leads to ignorance
in their respective works, The Cherry Orchard and Oedipus Rex. In each drama,
certain characters are slapped in the face with the truth; the light is revealed.
However, these characters make the connection when it is too late. Their destruction
is already destined to become a reality, a horrid fate that could have been prevented....

The timing of the chorus plea as Oedipus enters the stage clearly demonstrates that
Oedipus is the man whom he seeks, the murderer of the king. The truth of the play is
revealed, yet Oedipus remains ignorant.
Chekhov also makes use of a symbol to represent truth in his play. In The Cherry
Orchard, the Ranevskayas are an aristocratic family that squander away their final
days at their beloved cherry orchard. It shall soon be auctioned off, yet the family
merely sits about and engages in meaningless chatter. They assume that everything
shall be taken care of, the way it always has been in their lives. However, there is
one man who seems to be above the careless atmosphere that surrounds him
Lopakhin, the hard working son of generations of peasants. This man of great
ambition represents truth. The truth that Chekhov reveals in the play is the emerging
changes in the Russian social structure. The industrious middle class is on the rise,
and the lazy aristocracy is doomed to fade away. In the end, Lopakhin buys the
cherry orchard, which is the estate where [his] father and grandfather were slaves
(Chekhov 366). The cherry orchard was the security, the wealth, and the power of the
aristocracy; it is bought by a merchant, the son of peasants. Could the aristocracy not
see what was happening, or did they choose to remain ignorant? By constructing
summer cottages, the Ranevskaya family could have prevented the loss of the beloved

At what cost will we, consumers, pay for cheap pineapples? 75% of pineapples in
Europe are from plantations located in Costa Rica. In these plantations there are
many disturbing issues that large TNC s don t want us to see. This includes things
like chemical pollution in the local rivers and water sources, workers living in poverty
from their low wages and poor living conditions. There is clearly structural inequality
between the TNC s and the Trade Union/Workers.
We want cheap pineapples. As simple that seems, it comes with a price that may be
too expensive for us to pay. Every time the price drops on pineapples, the wages of
the workers that produce these pineapples also drop. Companies would try to

the communication skills, at the beginning of the interview I did clarify roles with
the client however I felt as though this could have been done a little bit better. In
regards to confidentiality, I believe that this concept was communicated well
because I specifically told the client about confidentiality and that any information
regarding harm would be told others. I believe this was good as it gave the client
the opportunity to decide if they wished to continue, and feel comfortable that any
information told would remain between me and her. I noticed that during the
interview open and close ended questions were asked which allowed the client to
elaborate furthur on her statements as well as make simple confirmations. For
example, Going back to what you said earlier about having fights with your

This shows that patients were more aware of reality in a sense, which can prove an
improvement in cognitive functioning. In another study by Swartz et al. (2007), there
were improvements found in the psychosocial functioning of patients in all phases of
their treatment course. The study examined fourteen hundred and ninety three
patients, who were randomly assigned antipsychotics (randomly assigned to receive
either olanzapine, perphenaizine, quetiapine, risperidone, or ziprasidone) and
assessed using the Quality of Life Scale. After six months, patients showed an
improvement in psychosocial functioning, as well as by 18 months. As discussed
briefly before, as an intern, I was able to observe the same patients over time.
Schizophrenic patients on antipsychotic medications did show an improvement over
time in psychosocial functioning as seen through psychological evaluations. Some
patients reported feeling lonely and lacking a social life toward the beginning of their
study visits. As time progressed, their psychological evaluations reflected their
increase in confidence and decrease in loneliness. Patient s reported engaging in
social activities, successfully looking for work, and actually wanting to participate in
social situations. One patient in particular (Patient A for confidentiality) began the
study as an individual who had an ambition to begin their own jewelry line. Patient A

Investment has become a growing tendency and a method for people dealing with
their income, while portfolio is an important investment vehicle. In the same time,
financial services industry has played a critical part in making investment portfolio
available to ordinary people. In this essay, the meaning and functions of portfolio
will be analyzed and it will argue the advantages of the financial servicesindustry
outweigh the disadvantages.
Firstly, portfolio theory has become an essential strategy in the modern investment
market. In general, according to Elton (2011), it is a common situation that each
person may possess a portfolio which is combined with real assets such as a
vehicle or a house, including financial assets such as stocks and bonds. An
investment portfolio is a series of chosen securities for investing purpose. In order
to avoid risks or pursue for profits, investors are faced with enormous number of
choices. If one is considering structuring an investment portfolio, the alternative
composition of various assets seems overwhelming. So how to make a decision and
what is a good , even best portfolio are the points in the first part.
As Clark and Kim (2013) said, portfolios are the objects of choice. A great amount
of information is needed for investors to make a decision because it is smarter to
divide the money in different assets instead of concentrating on a specific financial
product. Portfolio analysis was created by the Nobel laureate Harry Markowitz
37. Dr. Simons And Christopher F Chabris
Introduction
Research has proposed a visual phenomenon that implies that everyone has a visual
blind spot a small region in each eye that cannot see our surroundings. This
phenomenon brings about the theory of inattentional blindness; that we sometimes
miss opportunities or events because we are focusing on something else. The
concept rose from Harvard psychologists Daniel J Simons and Christopher F
Chabris 1999 Gorillas in our midst study. Their aim was to study the psychology of
vision, doing so by creating four 75 seconds films involving two team of 3 players,
one team wearing white tops and the other wearing black, moving around passing 2
balls continuously. Two conditions were used; after 44 48 s either a woman holding
an umbrella would appear in the film or a woman in a gorilla costume would appear.
Participants were asked to watch and observe the videos and monitor the balls being
passed back and forth. At the end of the study they were then questioned about the 2
conditions and what they saw. The study s findings supported the idea of inattentional
blindness for dynamic events.
To test this hypothesis, an experiment was carried out to investigate inattentional
blindness in a different setting using a similar method. A person dressed as a white
mummy was used in lieu of a gorilla. It was predicted that more participants would
report seeing the mummy in the visually similar condition (the white tops) rather than
the visually different condition (the black

The list of depression sub types can continue but the aforementioned categories are
ones that are diagnosed from most to least frequently among cases.
Causes
There are several factors that may contribute to depression and depending on the
individual can be rooted from a single or multiple reasons. If one has a family
history of the illness it increases the likelihood to develop it along with
environmental influences that also aid in its progress (CITE 2). Also biological
issues such as neurotransmitter imbalances in the brain can contribute to depression,
for example at the pre and post synapse of a neuronal cell (CITE 2). A pattern of
pessimistic thoughts and low self esteem can proliferate the illness, as a study
conducted exhibited that affected individuals did not improve perceptions of their
depression even after a neurotransmitter imbalance explanation (CITE 4).
Gender also plays a role as depression and its symptoms have been observed in
women more than in men particularly beginning from adolescence until their mid
fifties (CITE 5). It can also occur in conjunction with other illnesses such as cancer,
Parkinson s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer s disease and heart disease
(CITE 2). Lastly the mental disorder can also be triggered by tough life events
endured by an individual for instance passing of a loved one, relationship or financial
hardships can contribute

smallest continents in the world. A way that shows Australia as one of the smallest
continents is that it has a land mass of only 7682 square kilometres and is slightly
smaller than the USA. Another reason why Australia is one of the smallest
continents is because it 33% the size of Russia meaning that approximately three
Australians can fit into Russia. Therefore, it is evidently clear that Australia is
physically unique because of it s small size as it is almost the size of the United States
and is three times smaller than Russia.
Furthermore, even though Australia is viewed physically unique because ... Show

The landforms in Australia were formed over millions of years as the result of
weathering, mass movement, erosion and deposition which are the causes of why
Australia is very flat. An example of a landform that is the result of these natural
causes is The Great Dividing Range which is a mountain range that stretches over
three states and is the third largest mountain range in the world. Australia is known to
be the flattest continent in the world with minimal elevations compared to the higher
elevated continents like Asia. Australia s highest mountain Mt Kosciuszko which is
approximately four times smaller than the world s tallest mountain Mt Everest
situated in the Himalayas. It is, therefore, clear that the landforms and minimal

43. The Medical Technology And Science
Medical technology and science has progressed and has been associated with the
emergence of novel therapeutic and diagnostic devices. A peripheral intravenous
catheter (PIVC) is a temporary, short term device that is mostly inserted into the veins
of the hand or forearm (albeit can be inserted in other sites) to administer medications
or intravenous fluids (Aziz, 2009). Venous cannulation through peripheral
intravenous catheters (PIVCs) is the commonest and simplest method of
administering blood products, drugs, and fluids (Keogh et al., 2014). PIVCs also
offer sustained intravenous access for hospitalised patients (Al Tawfiq et al., 2012).
Over 330 million peripheral catheters are sold annually in the United States alone
(Moureau, 2009). Intravenous therapyis an essential and common intervention for
patients in community and hospital settings (Clemen et al., 2012; Ho Cheung,
2011). It is estimated that close to 85 percent of hospital patients need infusion
therapy, with up to 70 percent requiring PVC (Keogh et al., 2014). However, there
have been controversies on best practice management of PIVCs, particularly with
regard to whether PIVCs should be replaced routinely as clinically indicated, and
how it relates to PIVC associated infections among hospitalised patients. The aim of
this paper is to critically analyse the evidence on the frequency of PIVC replacement,
and to provide recommendations for evidence based best practices of patient centred
care. The discussion
44. The Impact Of The Affordable Care Act Of 2010
Health Care Reform
The Affordable Care Act of 2010 expanded access to health insurance in the United
States to millions of uninsured individuals. Early findings indicate that there have
been significant reductions in the rate of uninsured among the poor and working age
adults. Consequently, the number of adults who did not get needed health care
because of cost declined as well as the number of adults who reported problems
paying their medical bills. Hpwever, despite the many advances the Affordable Care
Act provided towards health care reform, there are still flaws to the system.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA), expands the access to health insurancecoverage
primarily for those who fall through the cracks of the private and public ... Show more

These declines are most likely due to the increased number of Americans with
health insurance. Fewer Americans reported financial difficulties due to medical
expenses in 2014. The number of adults who said they had problems paying their
medical bills in the past 12 months or were paying off medical debit declined from
75 million people in 2012 to 64 million in 2014 (Collins et al., 2015).
Despite the improvements made toward health reform, there are still problems that
need to be address. There are still cost related access problems among insured
adults, particularly among people with lower incomes. According to the
Commonwealth Fund Biennial Health Insurance Survey of 2014, 33 percent of
adults who had been insured all year with incomes under 200 percent of poverty
and 25 percent with incomes above that level said they did not get needed care
because of costs in the past 12 months (Collins et al., 2015). The high deductibles
and cost sharing in both employer and individually purchased private plans lead
many adults to delay or avoid needed care (Collins et al., 2015). Also there is still a
large share of adults who were insured all year but still struggle to pay their medical
bills. People with lower incomes reported these problems at the highest rates. One
third (34%) of adults with incomes under 200 percent of poverty who were insured
all year
