Crafting an essay on the subject of "Essay On Liberty" is a formidable task that requires a
delicate balance of historical context, philosophical analysis, and contemporary relevance. The
complexity of the topic lies in its multifaceted nature, demanding a comprehensive
understanding of political theory, societal dynamics, and individual freedoms.
Firstly, delving into the historical roots of the concept involves navigating through centuries of
philosophical discourse. From John Locke to John Stuart Mill, tracing the evolution of liberty as
a fundamental human right demands a thorough examination of diverse perspectives and the
contextual nuances that shaped their ideologies.
Furthermore, addressing the contemporary implications of liberty necessitates an exploration of
current socio-political landscapes. This involves integrating theories into the context of modern
democracies, discussing the challenges posed by technological advancements, and analyzing the
delicate balance between individual liberties and societal interests.
The difficulty intensifies when attempting to articulate one's unique perspective on liberty. The
essay must not only present a nuanced understanding of the topic but also contribute fresh
insights or perspectives. Crafting a compelling thesis statement that encapsulates the essence of
liberty while providing a roadmap for the subsequent discussion adds an additional layer of
complexity.
Moreover, striking the right balance between academic rigor and accessibility poses a challenge.
The essay must engage the reader with a coherent and logical flow of ideas, avoiding excessive
jargon while maintaining intellectual depth. Achieving this balance ensures that the essay appeals
to a broad audience without sacrificing its scholarly integrity.

the intricate tapestry of historical, philosophical, and contemporary dimensions. It demands a

The principles of speech and communicative composition of advertising text slogans
can be utilized when texts of advertising are compiled in the sphere of practical
promotion, which has acquired new stimuli for development in recent years. Being a
linguistic and semiotic unit, an advertising slogan can be analyzed from the
standpoint of several aspects: structural, semantic, stylistic, communicative and
pragmatic. This work consists of three chapters, and each of the chapters is
dedicated to the analysis of a certain aspect or aspects. However, analyses of
different aspects of an ad slogan often overlap, and therefore, it does not seem
reasonable to carry out separate analyses of each aspect, which can be done more
efficiently by simultaneous approach. The work consists of introduction, three
chapters, conclusion, bibliography and appendix. The Introduction gives explanation
of the choice of the subject and the terms used in the work, describes the objectives
and means of their attaining, as well as the basic concepts investigated, justifies the
importance, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical value of the work. Chapter 1
(Concept of advertising as an act of communication) describes the general concepts of
the advertising discourse and communication system, and gives an outline of
extralinguistic factors involved. Chapter 2 (Language
3. Persuasive Research Paper About Cheerleading
S P I R I T, SPIRIT, LET S HEAR IT! , this phrase may remind most people of
cheerleaders and high school football games, not a sport. There is more to
cheerleading than chants and clapping. Cheerleading has been around for over a
hundred years and is steadily becoming more popular. The sport has become so
popular, cheer competitions are broadcasted on ESPN. Cheerleadinghas an estimate
of 600,000 participants. Cheerleading is broken down into two categories, sideline
and competitive. Sideline cheer is most commonly thought of. It focuses on
keeping the fan s spirit high at sporting events and preparing routines for halftimes
or pep rallies. Competitive cheer teams practice year around, they later perform for
judges and are ranked on their capabilities. Regardless of the category referred to,
cheerleading is a sport.Hours of practice and stretching are fitted into a cheerleader
s everyday schedule. Yet so many people question whether they are actual athletes
participating in an actual sport. The definition of a sport reads, An activity
involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes
against another or others for entertainment, (English Oxford Living Dictionaries).
Competitive and sideline cheer meet all of those requirements to be a sport. Many
states have also begun to identify cheerleading as a sport. In the last few years,
cheerleading has been classified as a sport in several states: Michigan, New York,
Maine, New Hampshire,
4. Personal Statement On Family Farms
Family farms serve as both a place to live and a place to work and is unique as
both a home and a workplace. Growing up on a cattle farm, with horses and the
necessary machinery, I was exposed to many conditions that have taught me valuable
lessons and allowed me to thrive as a young individual. One of the main reasons that
I have been able to thrive under these circumstances is because of my family
members ensuring my safety. My family has always been rigorous about teaching
me how to stay safe from the many dangers on our farm that could leave me
vulnerable to injury and illness. On our farm, we consider the health and safety of
our family to be our number one priority. When I was young, my parents restricted
my access to worksites on the farm and were certain to reduce my exposure to
hazardous situations to ensure my safety and well being. I was prohibited to go
near the cattle without one of my adult family members being with me and was not
allowed to roam around the farm without the supervision of an adult. I became
progressively mesmerized by the livestock on our farm and wanted to be more
involved with them so that I could pursue my curiosity. While this worried my
parents to a certain degree, they supported my curiosity and began to give me
modified tasks and chores that I was capable of doing without putting me in harm s
way. Before performing any of these tasks however, they ensured that I was properly
informed on what I was to do and how I was to do them. The
5. Analysis Of David Mamet s Glengerry Glen Ross
The business world is known for being stressful and the epitome of masculine
characteristics and behavior. In David Mamet s play Glengerry Glen Ross, relative
absence of feminine characters highlights the idea that women are unwelcome in the
workplace because they are seen as inferior. Therefore, men in the company fight to
prove themselves because effeminate men are immensely looked down upon. The
four salesmen in the play regard the business world as a man s place and, therefore,
believe they must prove their masculinityby winning the company s competition.
The company s bosses, Mitch and Murray, decide this month that the salesman who
sells the most will win a Cadillac, the second best salesman will win a pair of steak
knives, and the bottom two men will be fired. In an attempt to win this competition,
the men resort to manipulation and deceit due to the stress and high pressure placed
on them. From this we see that these men, Aaranow, Moss, Roma, and Levene, are
willing to gain success at the expense of someone else. Mamet s lack of feminine
characters and his use of dramatic, exaggerated language are used as tools to support
the idea that these men believe the word man signifies more than just gender. Rather
to them, this three letter word means having control over one s own fate and
fortune. They, therefore, believe to have a successful life, one must work hard even
if it is unscrupulous and in this case illegal. As a reader, we do not see any onstage

6. Essay On Greek Pottery
The last time you held a piece of pottery, you probably thought about how fragile it
was, and how one misstep could leave it shattered on the floor. So why is pottery
one of the most widely surviving ancient artifacts? Shouldn t something like a gold
crown or an iron sword, something sturdy and durable, have survived after all these
years?
Theoretically, yes. The problem is that, during all of those years, there was a lot of
time for the most durable materials to be stolen or melted down and recycled into
other objects. Now, no matter how hard you try, potterycannot be recycled. After it
has been created, it will only ever be pottery. Whether it finds its way into a landfill
or it s discovered in an ancient tomb, pottery does not rot away and its colors ... Show

Part of the beauty of Greek pottery is its symmetry. Because the paper was folded in

Why has thousand year old pottery survived today? (Ceramics aren t usually worth

7. After School Programs Essay
Daniel Parra Mrs. Padgett English IV, Period 2 7 December 2010 After School
Programs The impact that after school programs have on young children affects
every aspect of their lives. Although some may feel after school programs are a
waste of time and money, it has been proven that they improve children s social and
academic skills. Without these special designed programs, children may not be able
to develop into the kinds of adults which will benefit society in the future. It is
important that society understand the importance of after school programs. To cut
back on after school programs to better the economy is only taking away from the
children and opening new doors to them, which can ultimately lead them to jail or

Learning how to communicate is often overlooked but its an essential skill for
anyone. An example of how important this truly is would be a job interview.
Everyone at some point will have to interview for a job to support themselves and
their family. At most interviews, employers are looking for people who seem to
communicate well with others and can present themselves by communicating their
attributes. These communications skills that are necessary aren t easy to come
by. Although one may think it would be easy, many people wont be able to
successfully land a job because of communication. One person may be the most
qualified, but if you can not communicate well then it will not matter. After school
programs can also socially benefit a child. Programs are often designed to teach a
child how to be a leader as well as a team player. Throughout one s life there will be
situations where one will need to work in a group as well as lead a group of
people. After school programs involving sports, really hone in on a child s ability to
behave and interact in a group environment. The participants must work together in
order to achieve a common goal which is to ultimately win. In doing so, they must
interact and communicate in a way which will be most beneficial for the entire
group. This occurs not only in sports but in everyday life. At a job, one may have to
work with others to

I would most likely want to use power pack compared to batteries as in a power
pack you can change the settings of voltage as when you have batteries you have
only one fixed voltage which is what the battery has been made for.
I had chosen to use a meter ruler rather than a small ruler as because it makes it
easier to do the experiment in one push rather than to keep on adding rulers on to it to
make the chain longer.
I had chosen to use a light meter as this is the right equipment needed to measure
light intensity as this is very accurate with the results it will show us. I would most
likely use a light meter than a lux meter because lux meters only measure a certain
part of the visible spectrum, however a light meter measure across the whole
spectrum in which this would provide us more of an accurate reading than a lux meter.
I had chosen to use a black drain pipe because I feel that this is very good to block
light from coming in and out to make good reading. I would use a black pipe rather
than a shake pipe but however the tube is circle which can make it difficult for the
light bulb to go in
9. The Bar At The Folies Bergere
The Bar at the Folies Bergere shows a young lady who works at the Folies Bergere,
a Paris cafe. The lady is the sole focus of the work. Manet has depicted her in a
manner that seems both thoughtful and aloof. Her mind seems elsewhere while
she is focused on serving drinks and appetizers to the noisy crowd. The viewer s
attention is focused on her locket pendant, which makes us think of a situation and
place far away from this, where she is someone s beloved, not one of many servers
in an overcrowded establishment. Manet shows us a very picture of alienation: the
woman is somehow held apart from the friends, lovers, and barflies that occupy the
rest of the room. We notice that, like a vampire, she alone is not reflected in the
glass. Manet reveals everyone else through the unusual perspective of a mirror that
distorts and distances its subjects. The customers faces and bodies seem surreally
distorted. Only the workaday objects at the young lady s disposal, such as bottles of
liquor, a vase of flowers, and a bowl of fruit, seem real to the subject. She is leaning
solidly on the bar as if she feels a need to do so in order to secure her place in the
world, lest she float away. The young lady s dress seems to stress her alienation
from the scene. She is very formally clad in what appears to be a velvet jacket with
various underlying layers of clothing. We would consider this a very fancy, formal
dress. We can see from the images reflected in the mirror that the bar
10. Grazing Management Vs Conventional Tillage Essay
Grazing Management vs Conventional tillage: Which method is best for SOC.
Introduction:
Soil is the major terrestrial reservoir of carbon, storing more than twice the amount
of carbon than the atmosphere1 as decomposed plant litter and residue2. Any
changes in soil carbon storage have the potential to modify the global carbon cycle
and influence climate change3. Studies have estimated that adopting appropriate
land management practices alone might offset about a third of the global annual
greenhouse gas emissions4. Grasslands comprise approximately 40% of the earth s
land area and play a critical role in the global carbon cycle5. Grazing, as the most
geographically expansive grassland use today, can exert significant influence on more
than a quarter of the global potential for soil carbon storage6. Although grazing
practice converts consumed plants into CO2 and other greenhouse gases, multiple
studies have shown that good grazing management can often lower net ecosystem
carbon emissions and promote soil carbon storage7, especially in dry ecosystems8.
Thus, facilitating soil carbon sequestration through improved grazing regimes in
these regions is an important measure for offsetting greenhouse gas emissions to
mitigate current climate change (ref).
Meanwhile, Conventional tillage practices is another practice which was once
embraced to be sustainable to meet world food production due to growing population,
but later result in significant losses of soil organic matter (SOM),
11. Major Forces That Are Leading International Firms Essay
There are five major forces that are leading international firms to the globalization of
their operations which includes (1) political (2) technological (3) market (4) cost and
(5) competition. Many firms initiate international operations to gain assess by
combined markets through exporting product or producing within the area.
Technological
According to (Ball, 2011) today s technology has allowed an advance in computers,
communication and an increase flow of ideas. Through the internet and networks
small companies can compete globally.
Markets
Companies use foreign countries to establish a business to avoid having their
competition take their business. With the majority of the population being in foreign
countries, outsourcing helps to generate growth.
Cost
Management utilizes lower cost by moving production lines to foreign countries
because the labor is cheaper, and can also lower other parts of a company value
chain. There is a reduction in the cost of generating and transmitting information as
well as a decline in transportation cost.
Competition
Competition is increasing because of growth in automobiles, computers, and
electronics. Firms are also defending their home markets from foreign competitors by
entering into foreign markets.
There are a number of reasons why a manager may not be able to successfully apply
the specific techniques and concepts learned in his/ her country in other areas of the
world. Each country has its own values, cultures and ethical
12. Voting Argument For Voting
This argument of Australia s voting age has been debated nationwide for over quite
an extensive period of time. Voting is a fundamental aspect of our democratic system
which enables an opinion thus pursuing laws and rules that govern our country.
Several people believe that 16 year olds can handle the responsibility of votingas it is
an important skill as a citizen to have a say in what will have a direct impact on them
in the future. However, this statement can be highly controversial as many believe
they make rational decisions based on lack of experience and maturity.
Today in our modern society, 16 year olds are open to a wide range of
opportunities that allow them to apply and manage skills of responsibility yet
planting their safety in the hands of their own future. A sixteen year old Australian
citizen has the ability to create a family, work full time, join the armed forces, pay
taxes and yet the right to vote for their country is denied. In 2012/2013, more than
17,000 Australians under 18 paid $41 million in taxes in addition to the GST
(Shorten, 2015) however they aren t permitted to decide who manages and spends
their taxes on their behalf. A major cause of the American revolution was the
incentive of No taxation without representation (Otis, 1761) that signified the right of
independence and democracy however Shorten s declaration lies heavily against this
concept. Together with this, numerous people have the firm belief that citizens of the

13. Adult Relationships And Same Sex Marriage
It is unclear what percentages of adult relationships are polyamorous in America, as
there is limited research with this population. However, it is evident that many
Americans find this alternative to monogamy beneficial. When compared to
monogamous individuals, polyamorous individuals experience greater levels of
intimacy in their relationships (Morrison, Beaulieu, Brockman, Beaglaoich, 2013).
Per the research, polyamory is potentially a fulfilling alternative to traditional
monogamous relationships for those who choose polyamory in place of monogamy.
Historically, there is limited evidence for cultures that that relied on same sex
marriage as a primary relationship structure. However, currently there is growing
cultural acceptance of same sex marriage and gay affirming communities in which
same sex relationships and same sex marriages experience support (Baunach, 2012).
According to the 2010 United States Census, same sex households¬¬ also called
unmarried same sex partner households grew by 80.4% between the 2000 and 2010
US Census. One June 26th of 2015, the American Supreme Court ruled that banning
same sex marriage in any U.S. state was unconstitutional (Pew Research, 2015). This
new occurrence will offer an opportunity for more research regarding same sex
marriage culture. In addition to this, attitudes regarding same sex relationship have
changed. Between 1988 and 2010, research shows that attitudes toward same sex
marriage demonstrate a cultural
14. Essay on The Economic Structure of Matewan
The Economic Structure of Matewan
The film Matewan, written and directed by John Sayles, depicts the small rural
townof 1920 s Mingo County, West Virginia as a society undergoing complete social
unrest, a result of clashing ideals and economic systems. The film is an illustration of
how different social systems come to be so intertwined that they cannot be defined
independently of one another. Unfortunately for the people of Matewan, the
feudalistic economic system imposed on them by the Stone Mountain Coal Company
has come to dominate every facet of their existence, including their political system,
their cultural identities, and even the environment in which they live. In order to try
and take back control of their lives, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The citiznes of the Matewan mining community were told that they were living in a
democratic and therefore capitalist economic society, but their experience in the town
burdened them with a much different realiy.
While we may not thinkof feudalism as an economic system that survived much past
Medieval times, the reality of the social situation in Matewan during the 1920 s can
lead us to no other conclusion than that feudalism was able to hold its grip on a much
more contemporary society. In Matewan, the Stone Mountain Coal Company ruled
supreme, creating what is known as a monopoly. They owned everything in the
county; the only source of employment, the houses, the land, even the currency,
known as company scrip, which citizens used to purchase items in the only store in
town the company store. The citizens of Matewan were drawn to work for the Stone
Mountain Coal Company because of the promises that were made to them: housing,
decent employment with the possibilityof job advancement, and a decent community
in which to live. We see these promises in action as they draw new workers to the
mountain in the early portion of the film. The African American (and Italian) workers
hired to replace the striking miners were lured to the mountain only to discover that
they would be indebted to the company from the very beginning. They had to pay for
their trip, their rent, even their showers out of thier first company
15. Mej Autobiography
For the third part of my autobiography, I have to talk about the MEJ as it is a big
part of my life. MEJ is abbreviation for Movement Eucheristique de Jeune which
translates to Eucharistic movement of youth. It was established by the Jesuits
during World War II to get the youth together in a healthy catholic environment. It
is a combination of scouts and Sunday school. Every Thursday after school we
would get together to pray, share, and play. We would basically be split in groups.
Each group would have a leader. Each group would be the same age and they stayed
together every year. It starts from the second grade until high school. However, on
the tenth grade some will go to formation and become the new leaders for younger
ages. Usually, by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We were all protected from the persecution outside. The main goal of MEJ is to help
you discover yourself and your individuality and to help you build a personal
relationship with God. On fourth grade, I remember I discovered how God is my
friend in this life. I started building a very strong and close friendship with God. By
sixth grade, I understood the meaning of God the father. I learned more about the
church itself and the catechism in the Catholic Church. Summary of the ninth grade,
they send me to the formation to become a leader. They taught us how to work
with all different kind of people so each can grow in their own personality. We took
classes about working with children and the different psychological minds. We
learned how to be more creative and open and how to prepare games, prayers, and
serious time etc...
I became a leader for a group in the second and third grade. It was one of the best
experiences. Even in that age you never see the fruit of your work but you can clearly
see how God was opening each of the fifteen kids eyes. How they start to recognize
the people around them and discover God s kindness. Jesus was our shepherd and
we were his
16. The Pros And Cons Of Eavesdropping
!!!What is Eavesdropping?
Eavesdropping as we know it in layman terms is the act of secretly listening to a
conversation, private or otherwise of which we are not actively a part. In computer
security, the definition carries the same meaning in digital terms. __Eavesdropping__
in computer security is defined as the unauthorized interception of a conversation,
communication or digital transmission in real time. The various forms of
communication include phone calls, emails, instant messages or any other internet
service.
The activities of eavesdropping normally do not cause disruptions on the normal
operation of the systems being eavesdropped on. In reality if one is eavesdropping

Che Guevara, a simulacralised image
In this essay I will discuss with the help of academic resources the difference
between cult value and exhibition value and how it relates to the aura of authenticity
in reproduced artworks. The concept, definition and different stages of simulacrum
will be discussed according to Jean Baudrillard s and Michael Camille s text by
referring to Che Guevara photograph and represented images such as internet memes.
Lastly an understanding will be demonstrated of how postmodern strategies are no

most artworks had this uniqueness before mechanical reproductions. In Film theory

The first stage is the reflection of basic reality which suggests that the representation
refers to a deeper meaning or reflecting the meaning of the original, in this case it is
the original photograph taken, figure 1, by Alberto Korda (Baudrillard 1988: 170).
The second stage is the masking and perversion of basic reality, meaning that the
image itself has become a transformation of the image in itself, figure 2, Jim
Fitzpatrick s represented image of Che Guevara (Baudrillard 1988: 170). The third
stage is the masking of the absence of basic reality, meaning that the image has
taken on its own transformation, thus moving away from the original concept, for
example the mass produced T shirt or mugs with the image of Che Guevara. The
third stage does not grasp the reality it belongs to and Baudrillard (1988: 170)
refers to this stage as the simulation. The fourth and the last stage of Baudrillard
orders of simulacra is the final stage of simulation, this is the stage that the image
has become too distant from its origin and that it bears no resemblance to the
original and has become a new reality or Hyper Reality (Baudrillard 1988: 170).
The fourth stage can be noted in figure 3, where each meme of Che Guevara has its
own meaning and new
18. The World On Body Arts
The World on Body Arts Tattoos and the workforce do not get along together. Not
within the topics themselves, but on the rules, that follow them. As body arts gets
bigger, so does the conflict on where it belongs. There is a fine, but undefined line
within body art and the work force. But it is has never been clearly stated
anywhere. Both sides; such as the Debate over acceptability vs explicit free
speech., always come up in the debate of the topic. There is no set law or
regulations for the mass number of people within the work field, but instead
changed regardless on the job that s being applied for. With each job having their
own set and different laws employees must follow, that s leaving some people out
for certain jobs if they are to quit or even get fired. Within many jobs, workers with
the following things such as tattoos must cover up the art, or they will be written
up, and have more actions take place if they continue to not follow the policy.
Tattoos used to be less commonly found on people then they are in today s world.
Life magazine estimated in 1936 that only 10% of American population was
tattooed (Elzweig, Peeples, 2011). With this being said, that was a 1:10 ratio of
people who had inked on arts. This is a drastic change in what they have to display as
results now and is thought to be continued to be growing over the upcoming years. A
2006 study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology of
Americans aged 18 to 50 found that the

TV , election that were obviously not present at the time of the original story. When
reading the Bible version it is sometimes hard to think it was not set in a different
world to the one today. So he uses these modern words so people living today will
be able to identify with the story.
When he says bullet proof limousine I don t think he is just using it for
modernisation though. I think Charles Causley is implying that the kings were
protected and safe in their journey, almost in an evil way. It signifies they have
nothing in common with the people they are reigning over. It is also in contrast to
how vulnerable Jesus is.
The tone of the poem is amusing at the beginning. Causley uses humour in his poetry,
which I believe again is to appeal to children. He creates images of God sitting in
his big blue chair , Gabriel in the shiny gear and of the neighbours gossiping that
Mary has been up to no good . These are funny because it is looking at the story
from a new perspective. Before reading the poem you have not thought of it in this
way. It brings another layer to the traditional story.
There are small undertones of negativity that
20. Cultural Assimilation Essay
In the research paper Immigrants and The Economy, the authors analyze the
changing composition of American labor. The service industry grew 13% from
1970 to 2000 according to the paper. The service industry ranges from high skilled
labor to low skilled labor, immigrants participate in both ends, but tend to take the
low skilled jobs much more frequently. The slowing of manufacturing in the US
has hurt unions, causing manufacturing jobs to be less appealing to US born
workers who are looking for stable jobs. The old wave of immigrants came to work
in factories. Now, low skill immigrants take jobs that are considered too menial for
native born Americans to desire. These types of jobs are in the agricultural, meat
packing, chicken processing,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The text set out to find whether this assimilation process was good for the economy
or not. The theory behind assimilation being bad was that the immigrants would start
to take jobs the native born populous would usually take, and would start to refuse
low skilled jobs. George Borjas believes the US benefits from assimilation. The
author also raises an interesting point about the correlation between cultural and
economic assimilation. The hypothesis is the more cultural assimilation occurs, the
more economic assimilation. Today s immigrants are older on average which
decreases the chance of cultural assimilation during the first generation. Borjas also
suggests to quicken the assimilation process, immigrant enclaves need to disperse
across the country. The more time an immigrant group is in the US, the closer the
wage gap becomes. Borjas also suggests that the welfare state may change the
actions of immigrants in a negative economic way. The skills based system we
discussed in class is suggested as the best method to speed up assimilation. By
accepting immigrants more similar to the native population, we reduce the chances of
assimilation
21. Role of Women in Greek Myth Essay
The role of women in ancient Greek life was insignificant compared to that of
Greek men. A woman s job was to take care of the children and to cook and clean
unless she had servants or slaves that would do it for her. Yet, in Greek mythology,
women were often written as major characters. Well known Greek plays contain
many well written, complex, female characters. Female individuals in Greek
mythologywere often seen as very powerful and fierce and were depicted by her wits,
her beauty, or her bad deeds.
To start off we have Helen of Troy, a mortal woman, thought to be one of the most
beautiful in her time. She left her husband Menelaus of Sparta for Paris of Troy and
because of that and her beauty a 10 year war surged between Sparta ... Show more

22. Essay On We Real Cool
Strong Connection in We Real Cool
As well all know, connections are not easy to come by. Connections are made for
resembling one thing to another. In addition to the resemblance, the poem, We Real
Cool , has a strong connection that is shown by the author that help illustrate the
meaning of the poem. In the poem of, We Real Cool , by Gwendolyn Brooks, there is
a satisfyingly strong connection involving the poem, title, and author.
Firstly, to show the satisfyingly strong connection from Gwendolyn Brooks, is the
poem. In the poem, We Real Cool , Gwendolyn brooks uses a part of her background
in the stanza. The poem, we real cool , illustrates a gang of people that like to play
pool at late hours. The poems stanza begins with the word, We , to represent the
group of people. Gwendolyn writes, We lurk late, we strike straight. We sing sin, we
thin gin , in the second and third stanza, pointing out the attributes of these people
back in the 1960 s. Furthermore, the second and third stanza also commemorates their
life and what they did to consider themselves real cool, with the help of vivid words
that were used to show visual imagery in the poem, such as left school, lurk late,
strike straight, sing sin, thin gin, jazz June, and die soon, henceforth illustrating the
connection between the poem and title. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

23. Comparing Doodle To Christ
When comparing doodle to Christ through symbolizism, in my opinion, there is
really no way to really compare, unless your preference of religion allows for hate,
disrespect or the ability to ignore the significance of such practice. Doodling is an
activity that, for the most part, isn t taken seriously. An artist just draws aimlessly
without any thought or serious consideration involved and no real attention invested.
So, how can something of the such be compared to something that people give their
life and devotion to without a doubt in their mind and also pass down to their
families to adopt? I don t see the comparison, it can t be one.
Let s first understand the concept of doodle. A person sits at their desk, with
basically nothing on their mind and creates a picture of a rose. How can this rose
symbolize anything of significance if there wasn t a plan of action or thought
involved at the time of or before creating it? In my opinion the rose isn t significant
and worthless no matter if da ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Well, yes if you re not into this particular religion, you can mistake it as unimportant
and bypass its significance, that s understanding, but from a christian standpoint and
those who understand religion and chooses notto hate Christians, their is no possible
way to compare doodling to Christ through symbolizism. Christ symbolizes, devotion,
belief , sacrifice, love and life! Doodling symbolizes, absent mindedness, time wasting
or perhaps not paying attendion the what the Pastor is preaching about during church.
Chriistians devote their entire life to Christ. Doodlers devote the time that it takes to
kill time or to stay occupied while the pastor or home room teacher is teaching. The
significance of each are extremely different and incomparable, not to mention that
many doodlers throw away their doodled work after they re done and never even
think twice about it. So, doodling doesn t stand a chance against Christ in
24. Stockhausen Life and Works
Composer Karlheinz Stockhausen was born August 22, 1928 in the small town of
Mödrath located just west of Cologne Germany. He was the first child of three
born to Simon and Gertrud Stockhausen. Early in his life, the Stockhausen family
struggled financially. Germany was in a low point of stability after WWI and most
people had trouble making ends meet. Simon Stockhausen, a teacher at the time, was
forced to move from one temporary post to another on average twice a year.
Unfortunately in 1932 when he was four years old, Stockhausen s mother Gertrud
was committed into a sanatorium. This was likely due to the depression she
encountered associated with the instability, poverty, and having three children so
close to one another. In 1935 Shortly after his wife became ill, Simon Stockhausen
was promoted to head teacher at a small village school located in Altenburg. The
newly formed Third Reich led by Adolf Hitler used him in this position to influence
the local community by spreading propaganda and organizing fundraisers for the new
movement. Karlheinz Stockhausenshowed an early interest in musicand the family
piano. The family also owned a radio that young Stockhausen listened to and
attempted to imitate. When he was seven, Karlheinz was enrolled in school and
began his first piano lessons with the organist of the local Protestant church. He
practiced often and learned to play back music he heard on the radio.

There have been some controversies among the citizens of the United States as we

things are newspapers. In today s age, someone s stance on newspapers may be
completely different than someone else s. Someone who grew up around

than, someone who grew up around the decline of newspapers may say that they

On January 1, 1988, a new Toronto come into being because and the new
government is formed due to the merger of the six districts and the merger of
municipal governments. Toronto is major economic center and financial pivot of
Canada. The merger of six municipalities and one borough led to a broader land, but
it also brought a series of problems ranging from financial and community service.
So the merge cannot result in saving cost and improving service efficiency. The
policy can be gaining income by levying on real estate, and at the same time
establishing a wide range of taxsystems, or instituting regional government in Greater

The ability to raise revenue of Toronto is governed by Ontario s municipal law, and
provincial and federal municipalities are reluctant to provide additional financial
assistance. However, most of the 38 big cities in the U.S. have the legal right to use
sales taxes and income taxes of city hall, and are greatly assisted by the state and
federal governments. Capital expenditures in Greater Toronto mainly include the
construction of public facilities, environmental maintenance and the service capital
assets required for enterprises and individuals. More importantly, more infrastructure
should be provided and maintained for more people in this new city. In 2004, the
government received more funding from the provincial government to try to meet its
infrastructure needs, which, however, causes a substantial increase in capital budgets
to meet the infrastructure of public facilities. The largest capital expenditures are
generally used for sewer, waterway, and highways. Transportation costs have risen
sharply since 1988 due to the increasing of capital and operating costs of
municipalities. However, the infrastructure of the city needs constant maintenance
and replacement, resulting in a negative cycle of funding. The household fire
expenditures in Toronto are much higher than those in other cities with low density
population, so the program increasing demand is not limited to specialized services
such as fire fighting, garbage disposal and public health

Capital Punishment
The Death Penalty
In the United States many crimes are committed every day, people killing another
person, raping innocent children. I strongly believe that people who committed a
crime should be punished and punished harshly and those who commit harm to
another person should die. The Capital Punishment is a controversial topic that affects
society as a whole and causes a great deal of disagreement. Capital punishment is the
government legally kills an individual as punishment for a serious crime. It is not
intended to inflict any physical pain or any torture; it is only another form of
punishment. Addressing the follow questions:

Florida Status In The

In Florida, The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (Fins)

state with the second highest number of death row inmates in the nation. The crimes
that are punishable by death in Florida are first degree murder, felony murder, capital
drug trafficking, and capital sexual battery. Currently, the methods of execution
practiced are lethal injection and the electric chair. In lethal injection, there is a three
drug combination which consists of Sodium Pentothal (an anesthetic), Pancuronium
Bromide (a paralytic agent), and Potassium Chloride (stops the heart and causes
death). In electrocution, the inmate is strapped down to a chair while various cycles
of electrical currents differing in voltage and duration (500 2000 volts and up to 30
seconds) pass through the body damaging the internal organs and causing death.

30. William Wright s Statue Of Friendship
When walking through the quad here at ISU, William Wright s bronze sculpture
Hand of Friendship (1967) is one of many that will never go unnoticed. The position
and realization of an actual hand in which it depicts resembles great artistic ability
and effort. My initial impression was positive because it helped me realize one of
many things that this university stands for friendship. There are plenty of students
who may sometimes feel left out or friendless on a daily basis and this statue
speaks great value. To me, it gives a sense on welcoming and acceptance for all
considering that thousands pass through the quad every day. It also shows the values
of this particular class in 1967 half of a century ago which still stand to this day.
As mentioned previously, the structure and design of this sculpture exposes the time
and effort put into the creation. The color which is a very dull green reminds me of
the Statue of Liberty, a famous work of art that we ve talked a great deal on this
semester. Originally, the Statue of Liberty was brown because of the amount of
copper used to make it, but eventually transformed to a dullish green consequently
through the processes of aging and weathering. I don t ... Show more content on

with this kind of message and real life structure should be placed on all campuses

31. Three Types Of Skin Cancer
Skin cancer, specifically Melanoma, is one of the most diagnosed cancers on a list of
many. If skin cancer is left untreated or ignored, it can then continue to grow to the
dermis and the subcutaneous tissues. This could potentially lead to any surrounding
muscle, bone, blood, or lymph fluids. This could cause the cancerto spread to other
parts of the body such as the lungs, liver, bone, etc... The three types of cancer are,
Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma. Although they all
have something in common, the skin, there are some differences. Basal Cell
Carcinoma is an abnormal, uncontrolled growth or lesion that happens in the skin s
basal cells. It lines the epidermis. It can grow on skin that gets the most sun
exposure leading it to often look like an open sore, a red patch almost like a rash,
shiny bumps, or even scars. Basal Cell Carcinoma is the least risky type of skin cancer
, and is easily treated when caught earlier on. The treatment types can be surgery
(Curettage and electrodesiccation, Excision, and Mohs surgery which has the best
cure rate for BCC out of the three surgery options), topical chemotherapy, radiation
therapy, Cryotherapy, or targeted therapy when can shrink and slow the growth. It is

Squamous Cell Carcinoma is caused by extreme exposure to UV (ultraviolet

Joseph P. McCarthy, a Republican senator from Wisconsin, spent the majority of his
political career trying to expose a communist infiltration of the government. His
allegations against certain politicians and authority were found to be supported with
an absence of evidence, but the public did not cease to be intimidated and often
manipulated in this realm of insecurity. In 1950, the McCarran Internal Security Act
was passed by Congress against President Harry S. Truman s wishes, requiring all
organizations presented as communist affiliated, to submit to government
supervision. McCarthy translated the paranoia ever present in America s media and

In the story, the lottery, by Shirley Jackson. The author claims about the lottery in a
unique way. She creates a very shocking and horrifying situation through the use of
characterization, setting, and the theme of the individual society. She writes as if the
events taking place are common to any town, she also talks about how the village
lottery completes in a brutal murder each year. Village people have strange rituals
that show how dangerous tradition can be when innocent villager believe or follow
it blindly. As I was reading this story they keep talking about the lottery in a
harmless way because before we get to know about kind of lottery they are
organizing, the villager and their preparation seems harmless.
First of all, they let men lead the lottery, where children gather stones. Everyone in
the village seems obsessed with the black lottery box and they put handmade slips of
paper in the box. They have strong traditions that have to follow by all villager. The
villager blindly accepts the lottery and the ritual to murder anyone with their own
paper that they have put in the box. They have a family bond that seems significant
part of the lottery, rules that have to follow, the black box is the symbol of the story
and the lottery. In my paper, I will show the stereotypes of the lottery the and how
village people beliefs about it.
In that village there is an old man who was so committed to their belief that they
follow about, therefore he fears that the villagers will return to primitive time and
stop following the ritual of the lottery. The family has the bond that is a significant
part of the lottery because they are so against one another. In that village through the
lottery family stand together in a group, and every family member is required to
present there if not then they are not obeying the tradition correctly. Head of the
family first gets the chance to take the paper and rest of them follow. The family
relationship is essential to living, it meant to support us, protect us, love and
understand us. The family relationship is meant to protect us from external influences
and help us to make better decisions after all family is the one who promotes our
inner growth and supports us. When

Dolphins are smart animals that could recognize themselves when looking at the

There is a need for doctors in all specialties, but none more than primary care.
Primary care physicians (also known as family practitioners) are the workhorses of
medicine. They are the doctors on the front lines working in clinics and hospitals
providing medical care for anyone who comes through the door. Family practitioners
are jacks of all trades but masters of none, leaving the mastering to the specialists
who specialize in certain areas of medicine. Specialists typically see patients who
have either been referred by family practitioners or have more severe issues.
Because of this, we need more family doctors than any other kind of doctor, which
is why the decline of this specialty is so serious. Why is it that medical students are
going different routes? That is the million dollar question researchers have been
studying in order to reverse the trend. Primary care physicians are on the lower end
of the totem pole when it comes to ranking doctors, and on top of that they typically
make less money than most specialties. Are these the reasons that medical students
are deterred from family practice? A group of researchers set out to find out. Michael
Compton and his colleagues surveyed hundreds of students over the course of their
time in medical schooland found that students wanting a high prestige career were
more likely to be interested in a non primary care specialty than a primary care
specialty (1099). In other words, medical students looking for a prestigious
36. The Death Of The Black Death
In the 1300s, the Black Death swept across the western world, leaving behind a
different perspective on the world. The Black Death rampaged through cities, killing
thousands of people a day, leaving the remaining citizens distraught. With the
multitude of death, many people began to contemplate what the afterlife held in store
for them. Therefore, pieces like the Dance of Death, transi tombs, the Three Living
and Three Dead, and many other artistic expressions about death began to appear.
The artistic elements illustrate a complex combination of similarities and difference.
However, the central theme focused on the inevitable fate of mankind. The Black
Death did not exclude anyone from its rampage; it was simply an epidemic caste
upon the western world. Death is something that no one can escape from; this notion
is demonstrated in The Dance of Death. The Dance of Death was originally a dance
performed in attempt to preserve the town from being affected by the Black Death.
Another report of the dance was, ...in 1374 a dancing mania seized hundreds of
people in German and Flemish towns. The people periodically interrupted their dance
to fall to the ground and allow onlookers to trample them in the belief that this would
cure them of their extreme oppression, although it is nowhere stated that this was the
disease. Later, the dance was translated into painting forms that depicted people in
every age range and social statues dancing with death. These paintings represented

After the World War II, the world was moving to new period economically, and
politically. Atomic and nuclear weapons and technologies such as a satellite were
also developed. At that time, there were two superpowers, the United States and The
Soviet Union in the world. During the World War II, they were on the same side, but
the Soviet Union s development of communist society and weapons gradually made
the United States anxieties about loss of their position as the most powerful state in
the world. Then, the Cold Warwas happened. This essay will explain that the Cold
War meant a conflict between ideologies and races between the United States and
the Soviet Union with involving many other countries, and also argue that the war
brought several impacts on diplomatic relations, creation of treaties and many
countries politics. Firstly, this essay will state that the Cold War was an ideological
conflict between two superpowers. Secondly, it will argue that the war was an arms
race between the United States and the Soviet Union. Thirdly, it will also argue that
the war was a space race between those two superpowers. Fourthly, it will explain
that the war, however, was worldwide. Then, it will state that many treaties were
concluded between countries during the war. It will also explain that the cold war
made confused China the United States relations. Finally, it will argue that the war
made several political change in the world.

Popular Cars Any gearhead knows that not just any car will do for a project. What
kind should be chosen, though? This mainly depends on the person working on the
vehicle. For any newcomer, the range of possible project vehicles can be staggering
to approach, for there are many possibilities for a person to chose. An effective
project usually focuses on a tuner car, muscle car, or sports car. These are the
differences between them all. A tuner car is defined as a vehicle that is easy to
modify and has mostly performance oriented modifications. Many of these vehicles
are sedans, or four door vehicles. They can be anywhere from small to medium in
size and take to forms of traditional sedans, mass produced coupes, and hatchbacks.
This is the broadest of all of the categories of vehicles.
Examples of this type of vehicle are the Honda Civic, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi
Eclipse, and fox body Ford Mustangs. Normally these cars are less expensive and

Because most muscle cars were manufactured 35 or more years ago, the vehicles are
many times found in severe disrepair. This makes restorations the most common

also handle better than their muscle car counterparts. A sports car is small, seats one
or two people, has a low center of gravity, and is very light compared to other cars.
Unlike muscle cars, sports cars are still manufactured today. Furthermore, the
movement was started in Europe and most sports cars are made by European
companies. These vehicles were first manufactured in 1910 and have been in constant

40. How Did Napoleon An Enlightened Despot
Napoleon is known to be one of the world s greatest military leaders, and he was
notable in expanding the French empire through his various victories. Napoleon
demonstrated impeccable leadership skills because his army, from the revolution, was
immensely loyal to him and the nation. He and his army defeated and conquered
Holland, Belgium, Spain, the Prussians, the Austrians, and the Russians, which made
most of the European continent French possession. Napoleon ended the Old Regime
throughout Western Europeafter conquering most of Europe. Enlightened Despotism
is a form of government where absolute monarchs used Enlightenment ideals to push
for social, political, and economic reforms. During the unstable nature of the rising
French Revolution, Napoleon rose to power and changed the government of Franceby
instilling Enlightened ideas through his political and economic policies. Napoleon

After acquiring power from his military successes, Napoleon set out to bring
political order through his policies. The most notable political move Napoleon made
was the establishment and implementation of the Napoleonic Code. Since the former
French laws were unorganized, confusing, and repetitive, Napoleon re wrote the law
of the land and codified it into one supreme law. The Code effectively unified the
lands he gained and controlled from war. Before, French law had differed from region
to region. Furthermore, religious toleration was accepted and nationalism spread.
Ultimately, the Napoleonic code ended the old regime and promoted enlightenment
ideals by revolutionizing social and political

We as people often say Having a high position of power is bad but we never
consider the power behind an individual person and the influence their words may
have. For example, in society some of us dress, act and talk a curtain way to fit in
because if you do something different someone will judge you and say things about
you. What this is doing is influencing our everyday decisions. We often underestimate
the powerour words may have on another. This is prominent when asking ourselves
in the The Tragedy of Macbeth who actually holds the most power to influence
others actions. After receiving a prophecy that Macbeth would become king and all
these things that could happen. Macbeth went on a huge ambitious journey and
committed acts out of fear and personal benefit. For example, he killed the former
King in order to be, his friend Banquo and attempted to kill his son. So who in The
Tragedy of Macbeth had the most power to influence? The source can be traced back
to the prophecy givers themselves, the Witches.

Experience shared with other people provided important knowledge that helps
people find their place in the world. The novel, Microserfs by Douglas Coupland
displays these traits by having reader follow the diary of Daniel Underwood as he
starts to wonder if life has more meaning than just working. Firstly, lovehelps a
person understand to improve oneself, that they always have a person to talk too and
that love can make people cherish each other. Secondly, Loss can impact people by
having them deny about the loss, accept the loss and remember the loss. Finally,
friendships help people understand that there is more to life than work, friends are
always there to help that friends can provide a comfortable environment. The
experience people go through with each others helps people to figure out where
they belong. To begin, the experience of love teaches people to always improve
oneself, people with significant others always have a person they can talk too and
that love can make people cherish others. Starting off, Relationships teaches people to

themselves because Daniel is scared that Karla might get embarrassed to be with
him due to his appearance, so he decides to improve himself to make him more

44. Examples Of Object Oriented Analysis Design
Object Oriented Analysis Design (OOAD) Object Oriental Analysis Design is a
hands on approach used to model and create systems as a group of interacting
objects. The term Object , describes a form of entity or thing of concern. Objects
are typically modeled after real world entities or concepts. For the business analyst,
examples of objects may range from; invoice, product, contract, etc. Objects
usually contain attributes that can be set to specific values. With Object Oriented
Approach to system design, it tries to lessen the impact of problems by combining
related data and functions into the same module. Objects In the real world can be
characterized by two things; data and behavior. For example, a television is an
object and possess data in the sense that it is tuned to a particular channel, the scan
rate is set to a certain value, the contrast and brightness is a particular value and so
on. The television object can also do things. The television can switch on and off, the
channel can be changed, and so on. Below is a graphical representation of a single
object and its characteristics:... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the object oriented analysis (OOA) phase object modeling techniques are
used to analyze the functional requirements for a system and create models which
reflect the logical design of the system. During the object oriented design (OOD)
phase of the system, models are elaborated upon to include implementation specific
details that show how the physical design of the system will come together. OOA
focuses on what the system does (its static structure and behavior), OOD on how the
system does it (its run time implementation).

46. The House on Mango Street
When I grow up, I want to be a black gum tree. Black gum trees are known for their
internal strength. Instead of dwelling on outward beauty, they spend more time
focusing on their inner growth and developing their core. Only after they have
achieved this goal can they produce beautiful fruits that draw animals near to them.
Any surfaces that the berries touch are stained as to say, I was here and made a
permanent difference. After they have utilized their outward influences, they use
their internal scars and hollow places to protect the animals surrounding around it. If
human lives were to reflect the concepts of the black gum tree, governments,
individuals, and communities would be radically transformed. While this is a

Now the slab can be seen as a secondary result deriving from the poor condition of
the roots. The roots of the trees act as a metaphor for the community on Mango
Street, which supports Esperanza s development. Because the roots of the
community on Mango Street are tangled in cycles of tragic abuse, Esperanza is
deprived of the essential social and ethical requirements she needs to grow. When
Esperanza explains that the trees send ferocious roots beneath the ground , she is
implying that the trees are trying to dig deeper in order to find an essential
element for their growth (Cisneros 74). New visitors to her neighborhood roll
their windows up tightly, which shows it is not an environment that allows
children to develop properly (Cisneros 28). Because of the deficit her community
is causing her, she is unable to grow to her full potential, and resorts to digging
deeper within herself just as the roots of the trees do. A problem arises when trees
try to do this because the roots are more susceptible to disease. Keeping with the
metaphor, Esperanza shows symptoms similar to a tree that has attracted the heart
rot disease. This disease is characterized by external problems seeping through the
roots, which lead to the decay of the heartwood of a tree, and eventually its overall
health. Esperanza is obviously being fed infectious ideas from her misshapen
community, and has begun to let it eat away at her heart. This cycle is started by the

47. Youth binge drinking
To what extent is youth violence, crimes and anti social behaviour linked to youths
binge drinking.
Binge drinking can be defined as an excessive consumption of alcohol within a short
period of time to get drunk. This essay will focus on how youth violence, crime and
anti social behaviour is linked to youths binge drinking. It is widely known that the
youths in United Kingdom start drinking at an early stage of their lives. Talbot and
Crabbe (n.d.) state that government statistics suggest that... the amount of alcohol
consumed by younger adolescents aged 11 13 continues to climb. Underage drinking
is linked to binge drinking as youths are not mature and responsible enough to think
of the consequences. BBC News (2003) mentioned that A ... Show more content on

It is also known that regretful sexual activity is a leverage of youths heavy drinking.
An article by The Christian Institute (2011) expresses the concern of youths
engaging in alcohol fuelled sex. The article states that those binge drinking three or
more times a week were over five times more likely than non binge drinkers to have
had sex they regretted following alcohol . It was also suggested that it is time for
ministers should have a stricter attitude towards youths binge drinking. The article
goes on to declare that the government has failed to control the issue of youths
misusing alcohol.
Having considered all of the points above, there are arguments about youth violence,
crime and anti social behaviour not relating to binge drinking. It is common for
youths to go through a rebellious phase. During the stage of rebellion, crimes will
be committed due to peer pressure or low family income. A report by Taylor
(2003) claims that street robberies were urged on by the fear of youths being left
out and bullied. This suggests that young people are very affected by how they are
perceived in the eyes of other individuals which instigate them to commit crime. A
research by Jacobson and Kirby (2012) mentions that lack of discipline was evidently
the root to youth crimes. The research also mentions that boredom as
48. What Is The Theme Of The Crying Of Lot 49
The Crying of Lot 49 is a 1966 novella written by Thomas Pynchon amidst the spike
in social and political turbulence in the United States of America. The 1960s saw
the rise of drug culture, the Vietnam War, John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King
s assassination, the massive rise of the Civil Rights fight and many other milestone
events. Pynchon s novella carries the perceptive sense of chaos, quite possibly
influenced by two things: one, the decade that he was living and writing in and two,
that this was one of his earliest novels. The text explores the consequences of
decisions, illusions and conspiracies all taken on by the protagonist Oedipa Maas.

The Crying of Lot 49 lives up to it s satirical nature in mocking Fallopian and later
many other radicals to signify the extremist nature of real life character s facades
in the 1960s. By making such a political statement, Pynchon could be making a
reference to the 1964 elections in which the Democrats snatched all the votes from
Congress from right up under them. Chapter 3 is also very important as it serves
as our first introduction to the evasive Tristero . Oedipa goes in to watch the
production of The Courier s Tragedy thinking of bones, hears the word Tristero ,
and comes out thinking only of the word. She herself later realizes this. It is
possible that the bones could have been another red herring to throw us off the plot.
This novella seems to be entirely made up of red
49. Expansionary Monetary Policy
The federal reserve should adopt expansionary monetary policy to stimulate the
economy to promote growth and development. Currently our nation is in a position
where there is no compelling reason to raise interest rates to combat inflation,
therefor for the short term I believe we need to push for continuing to decrease
unemployment and aim for wage growth. The economic outlook is unclear as foreign
economic developments, in particular, pose risks to the United State s economy.
Expansionary monetary policypromotes a positive impact in a few different areas like

It is evident that we take action now to aid our economic activity. We can do this
by adopting an expansionary monetary policy to stimulate our economy. The
Federal Reserve has historically held rates at a relatively low level, but it is
important that we gradually increase rates as our economy strengthens. Just last
week our nation saw that, the Federal Reserve sent a sharp, simple message to
financial markets (on Wednesday): Pay attention. The Fed is thinking seriously
about raising its benchmark interest rate at its next meeting, in June. Our economy
is not quite ready to tighten monetary policy. Expansion is relatively easy for the
Fed to implement, and can be put in to action quickly. The Fed is already holding
rates at very low level, but it is tough to predict what other global economies will do
in the near future to stimulate their own respective economies. As a nation, I believe
that in this moment in time, we need to continue the expansionary trend until we are
stable enough to make great moves towards an ideal state for an economic
50. Organization Decision Making Process
An organization continually makes decisions at all levels. Until the past decade, most
organizations and their managers and employees operated in an information and
knowledge fog, making decisions based on best guesses about the past and present,
and making expensive errors in the process. Many have failed throughout the course
trying to improve the decision making process, there are many ways that contribute to
the failure. Organizations can easily miss the market, by not having the right
intelligence, analysis, not acting on agreements, having inadequate capitalization or
simply because the competitors are doing better job. Another crucial failure during
the process is poor execution, when there is ineffective leadership, inefficient
operations, and excessive costs. Not following the right strategies is another
contributor of failure, not having the right products and services, ineffective
marketing, utilizing outdated technologies and not adjusting to the frequent changes
on the market in today s competitive world. Nevertheless, several steps can guide us
to making the right decision. The first is to declare a decision, recognize that an
organization ought to make a decision, second is to decide what to make with that
decision and finally execute the decision to create results and changes in the outcome
of those decisions. There are four stages in the decision making, intelligence, design,
choice and implementation. All of these steps consist of discovering,

Athletics, injuries, and recoveries are all things that I have been around my entire

love their sport. An injury to an athlete can be emotionally devastating, and I want to

There are many factors that have played into my desire to become an athletic trainer.
My mom was very athletic and played basketball in college, so growing up she had
me involved in as many sports as possible. This is where I learned how to stay
calm and focused on the goal no matter how bad the situation. I saw this
demonstrated by athletic trainers when I found myself lying on the ground in pain
after delivering a pitch. When I opened my eyes, there were two athletic trainers by
my side trying to pinpoint where I had been hit with the ball. They were both calm
and made sure nothing was severely injured before helping me up. The athletic
trainers asked many questions and performed many tests to make sure my liver was
intact. They continued to check on me after each inning to make sure no secondary
injuries developed. This experience gave me a firsthand... Show more content on

Football
The NFL, the governing body and league format for American football is the
largest grossing sporting league in the world. The sport symbolises and embodies
American culture as it is fast paced, dazzling razzmatazz of a show brought to a
conclusion every year by the greatest show on earth, the Super Bowl. The themes
explored are going to be America s issue with race, how the sport has evolved with
TV and commercialism linking the sport to capitalism and the free market. And
just like the opening a theme will be size, how large everything is about the sport
and the country and how it is associated with the US. According to the Harris poll
of 2015 35% of Americans say the NFL is their favourite sport, this has been the
case since 1985. Baseball referred to as America s game came in being in second
despite the NFL being two and half times more popular, showing that America s
game is an incorrect reference as it does not reflect American society. Therefore it
is no surprise that the NFL has significant cultural status within American society
and history. The US is a symbol of the modern world, the new world order and
football has grown and been shaped as a result of this. As a society the US is built
on immigration, people leaving squalor in Europe where social mobility was next

in a new land. As a result this was seen as a fresh start where people would earn and

Those people who were deemed not suitable were discarded. By culling his

his goal of a socialist utopian society. Unhappy with the racial climate of the 1960s
in Indianna, Jim Jones moved his congregation to California (Ryan, 2011) in order to
further unify the church. By fostering an inclusive environment (USAF) he was able
to create value for the church members. Once the church was moved, Jim Jones
began to develop the next phase of his plan.
While in California Jim Jones met with his inner circle and developed a plan to
move his vision of a socialist society outside the US to avoid government oversight.
The team conducted research and discovered that land in Ghana was cheep and the
local population spoke English. A key point in this phase of his plan was to raise the
necessary money to fund the project. This was conducted through an incremental
raising of the recommended tithing from 10% to 25%. Shortly thereafter Jim Jones
convinced his followers to sell all of their belonging and give the money to the
Peoples Temple. Having raised the required money, Jim Jones was ready to begin
the next phase of his plan. His followers were now socially and economically
dependent on the Peoples Temple.
Jim Jones formed an advanced team to go to Ghana and prepare the site of the
