Title : A progress report for a research on uses of e-book in classroom instead of paper
books.
Objective : i) to discuss the effect of using e-book on student’s learning activities.
ii) to standardize UTeM’s education system following other top universities
which uses e-book system.

1.0 Tasks completed
1.1 Chapter 1
We have reviewed multiple sources like books and internet to understand the history and all
the effect of e-book on student’s learning activities. We managed to write this chapter in few
days as it only involved the background, objective, scope and organization.
2.0 Tasks remaining
For now, we are still in the progress of writing Chapter 2 based on the procedure of the
method that we used which is by distributing questions via survey method.
3.0 Tasks to be done
We will continue on completing our Chapter 2, Chapter 3 as well as Chapter 4.
4.0 Problems or unexpected conditions / situations
We faced some unexpected situations during the process of searching for information and
idea on the use of e-book due to lack of books but somehow we managed to overcome this
problem and were able to move forward to our next plan. Moreover, we also faced some
problems regarding the time issues completing the Chapter 1 based on the Gantt chart.
5.0 Summary
We have already finished Chapter 1 even though we lost track of time based on the Gantt
chart for a while. So next time, we must ensure that we will be able to finish the tasks on
time. We predict that we will be able to finish all the tasks by Week 14 in time followed by
the submission of the technical report.
