This New Supervisor Training PowerPoint helps new supervisors or seasoned supervisors who need additional help to lead employees better, reduce risk to the organization, reduce their stress, and accelerate their skills to improve productivity, reduce conflicts, reduce grievances, and increase workplace harmony. It's all about relationships with supervisors....and it's all about leadership in those relationships, but you can't count on supervisory staff knowing what to say, how to say it, what to do, and how to do it. This program does that. It is stuffed with a zillion tips and we cut out all the fluff. You get all meat and potatoes, now hot air. We created this program to take any supervisor and in two hours pack their brain with skills and abilities like a sardine can---and then leave them with the ability to return to it 24 hours a day to get the answer to supervisory questions the need answered right now. This new supervisor training program goes the extra mail. It covers observing performance, documenting, confronting, communicating properly with upper management, reducing risk of violence in the workplace, doing investigations properly, praising and inspiring employees, and much more. Enjoy this skill #8 and feel free to remove the tags in it or edit the content to suit your purposes. New Supervisor Training PowerPoint help is now easily done. Please contact us if we can help you in anyway. Many other new supervisor training programs and courses are available. One of the most overlooked groups, with regards to training, is old supervisors. There are many new supervisor training programs, but few for seasoned supervisors. This can be a real disadvantage for a business and also for the experienced supervisor. The business world is constantly changing and everyone old and new needs to keep up with their training. Sections of new supervisor training may be totally new to even a seasoned supervisor and they can benefit by learning these new skills. Technology has made so many improvements in how we work and how we supervise that it is imperative that all supervisors are trained in these techniques. Laws and regulations are also constantly changing and sometimes old supervisors get lost in the past and training can help to bring them up to speed with the way laws and regulations are today. But nothing is more important the communication and relationship skills. These soft skills or rather a lack of them are what increase risk to organizations. With this new set of training courses both new supervisors and older supervisors will become champions of productivity.
An able supervisor can make or break the performance of a team. A herd of sheep lead by a lion wins, while a pride of lions lead by a sheep fails. The management has to invest in developing their supervisors to excel in their managerial skills. This presentation lists the skills that are required to excel as a supervisor.

Taking the Lead: Five Things Every Supervisor Needs to Know | Supervisory SkillsHRDQ-U
What makes a supervisor great? While there may not be a quick and simple answer to that question, there is a certain skill set that, when learned through time and exposure, make supervisors more effective. With increasing pressure being placed on supervisors to perform, organizations can’t afford a long learning curve.

Many people misunderstand assertion and confuse it with aggression. Assertive communication is paramount in tough conflict situations. This session defines assertiveness and explains how it can be effectively used to balance your rights and the rights of the other person.
Motivating employees is about more than charisma and vision. To help employees perform their best, a great leader will provide feedback — the right kind, at the right time. Feedback is an essential tool for any manager, whether in a small business or a large corporation.

In Lean conversations, we often hear “it’s 10% tools and 90% people,” “we need to change the culture,” and “they just don’t get it.” While each of these statements may be true, they all reflect that something is missing in our problem-solving and transformation attempts—and that missing element is helping people change their behaviors. In reality if we don’t change the way the organization thinks and behaves, on a day-to-day basis, we won’t significantly impact performance levels.
This workshop includes both theory and practical application around the behaviors of excellence: organizational clarity, focus, discipline, and widespread employee engagement. Activities include class discussions and four major activities representing each of the dimensions.
The clarity activity centers on the words we use and how ambiguity and "softened" language hinders performance. The focus activity is a timed simulation that demonstrates how working on fewer projects at a time increases the total number of projects completed in a comparable given time period. Participants learn metrics-based process mapping, a highly disciplined process for standardizing work. In the final activity, participants practice techniques that lead to engagement and disengagement.

I work in a small budget office that has four members and is a part of a bigger finance office of 12. Between our small office, communication from the top to the bottom is extremely good and all trust each other very well. I believe our top manager is a strong leader and he creates a culture that embraces working together and encourages us to speak about problems at work if one arises. At the same time, he allows us to take risk and will allow us to work the way that works best for us. Leadership does not care how we get to a point as long as the end goal is achieved which does allow us to feel empowered. If we have a question, they just want us to work together to try and search for the solution but will help us once we give our thoughts or if it is time sensitive.
I do think we share a common interest or vision to provide strong budget advice to our commanders and resource advisors so they can execute their budgets legally and efficiently. I do see issues with personal goals getting in the way from time to time though. I think we build such good relationships that leadership hesitates to say anything when someone does focus on their own self-interest over the goals of the office. I find it interesting that some studies actually show leaders that promote a little value in promoting self-interest usually increases the follower's trust in the leader (Scherwin, 2009). I see this in our office. Our leaders help us with promotion, take care of family, and urgent personal tasks when time allots. I honestly think it encourages us to work harder towards the shared goals of the office when the work load is heavier and to have each other’s backs.
No office is perfect and always can improve. Leaders should always be pushing for improvement and looking for ways to improve any part of the group. For the finance office I work in, I would recommend that the leaders do try to make accountability more of a factor. Many times, leaders in the larger office will not ...

Natural Language processing in the digital age & the impact on relationships ...Salema Veliu
This was part of a workshop presentation l did a couple of years back for Flight Centre UK looking at language in the workplace and the impact on performance and leadership. It's been interesting to see recent to see the views on 'SlideShare' of this work. 'Psycholinguistics' has always been a huge part of my Uni studies and my work. It's helped to understand 1. How we process and 2. What we can learn from the language we use and how that in turn can interfere with behaviours. Demonstrated by the modality of Related Frame Theory which is a powerful tool in decoding behaviours, and habits human habits from speech around machine/technology referred to as (Psychotechnology). Just to be absolutely clear I’m not talking about Neuro Linguistic programming. But Natural Language Processing which is a branch of AI that looks at the interaction between computers and humans using natural language. I believe there are cross functional connections that we can use to enhance the learning elements of machine learning

FEEDBACK REPORT 2
Feedback from teacher
The teacher said that in the text there are many words repeated we should avoid repetition of word I am 3rd year student (example I believe that , it is notable, room, This strength was measured through, ETC.. ) . as well as the point written down
The work should be more professional in order to get a first because what I received doesn’t look an assignment for 3rd year student many repetitions and sentences not connected, too many (.) and new sentence after, please everything should be connected otherwise I can’t get a first with this work impossible … AND PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THE MARK GRID FEEDBACK I POSTED TO SEE HOW THE WORK WILL BE GRADED AND CHECK THE COLLUMN THAT GIVE YOU THE GRADE OF 70+ THANKS …HERE YOU HAVE IN DETAIL THE AREAS TO DEVELOP …
THE WORK IS 15OO (NOT WITH REFERENCE AND TABLE ),WHAT I RECEIVED IS AROUND 1300..
· So…More relevant introduction about development Centre, employability agenda and feedback with REFERENCES not in first person (relevant definitions ). …. And at the end you introduce the competencies I was observing in Tom in the activities… 500 WORDS
· For the strength you should first introduce the competency with a reference then start talking about his performance … avoid this words (you should and you must ) you have to talk about what he performed In more details what he was doing etc (invent even if you don’t know )…. When you say how he should improve his score YOU HAVE TO be more detailed of how he can improve with example of that (for example using some website or videos or reading or practising online etc.and how that helps him ) not only one sentence AND DON’T USE THE SAME SENTENCE IN DIFFERENTE COMPETENCIES . DON’T BE JUDGEMENTAL PLEASE …SAYING THAT HE DID THIS NOT GOOD but in a god way … Highly appropriate and relevant examples without exception including detailed actual examples and excellent suggestions for improvement
And this is same for all strength and weaknesses … start saying competency (leader ship or problem solving or teamwork or communication for example is …. (reference) then how he performed in details and then how he has to improve also in details not only one sentence, with example and how that helps him . That’s means Highly appropriate and relevant examples without exception including detailed actual examples and excellent suggestions for improvement.
THE WEAKNESSES PART THE AREA OF DEVELOPMENT SHOULD BE MORE LIKE BECAUSE I GAVE HIM 2.5 so more things to develop
Conclusion :
· Then you put a conclusion. how development Centre helps?. What do you think about the development center in general? and the competencies we were looking at ?, and how helpful is for our future career? and how we can improve our skills (general )…
.Compelling conclusions with excellent links made to the personal development plan · Then the table of development plan should be more detailed In this table you should put all the aims that Tom shou.

Developing Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills
Lesson 10
(DeCano & Cook, 2015)
Today we will be talking about things you can actively do to seek out connection and support – this is highly relevant to resilience because healthy attachments and connections is one of the keys to resilience.
5
Summary of the Previous Lesson
Emotions represent subjective experience that combines bodily and cognitive reactions, are designed to provide us feedback, and motivate specific types of behavior or action
Emotions are functionally adaptive
Negative emotions narrow and positive emotions broaden
To have resilience we must manage intense negative emotions and cultivate positive emotions
To review from last week, emotions represent a complex, subjective experience. Emotions are adaptive and can broaden our attention and resources, but in order to have resilience it’s really important to both learn to manage negative emotions as well as cultivating positive emotions.
6
Summary of the Previous Lesson
Intense negative emotions can be managed two different ways:
If in a crisis – emotional temperature > 65 – then use crisis survival skills:
TIPP
Distract with ACCEPTS
IMPROVE the Moment
Pro & Cons
If not a crisis < 65 then use:
Check the Facts and then Opposite Action or Problem Solving
Positive self-talk
Mindfulness of current emotion: Wave Skill
When we are trying to manage negative emotions, we have learned options for skills to use when we are in a crisis (over 65 on our emotional thermometer) as well as skills to use when we are not in a crisis (less than 65 on the emotional thermometer).
7
Learning Objectives
