Among the recent advancements in car safety technologies, the adaptive cruise control feature is one of the most important and useful. It greatly minimizes the pressure of the driver as it helps to control the speed of the car and maintains a safe distance from other cars to avoid a crash. But still, this adaptive control should not be used in bad weather conditions and in tunnels as they might not work efficiently. So, if you want to know all about the adaptive cruise control system in your car, then give some time to watch the following slide show.
Electronic Stability Control allows the motorist to keep his speed machine under control in any situation. This modern technology plays a key role in reducing the danger of skidding and thereby helping drivers to avoid crashes. It becomes active when an operative loses control of his car. Lateral acceleration, fishtail prevention, sensing the wheel speed, steering wheel positioning- are different functions of ESC. It must be in good order for a safe ride and if you find it defective, then check it by calling a deft car technician.
Vehicle technology has increased rapidly in recent years, particularly in relation
to braking system and sensing system. In parallel to the development of braking
technologies, sensors have been developed that are capable of detecting physical obstacles,
other vehicles or pedestrians around the vehicle. This development prevents accidents of
vehicles using Stereo Multi-Purpose cameras, Automated Emergency Braking Systems and
Ultrasonic Sensors. The stereo multi-purpose camera provides spatial intelligence of up to
50 metres in front of the vehicle and there is an environment recognition of 500 metres.
Cars can automatically brake due to obstacles or any hindrance when the sensor senses the
obstacles. The braking circuit function is to brake the car automatically after receiving
signal from the sensors. All cars are competent in applying brakes automatically to a
maximum extent of deceleration of 0.4g. Integrated safety systems are based on three
principles. They are: collision avoidance, collision mitigation braking systems and forward
collision warning.

It is all about Traction Control and its importance for car safety. The slide presentation will help you to know about the types of traction and the roles of traction control system to optimize the grip and stability of a car on the road while running. Traction definitely causes the friction on tire as well as in braking system of a car.
Air Suspension System is commonly use in BMW,Mercedes,Audi types luxurious types Cars for protect from damaging, increasing life of the vehicle ,increases the handling , increases comfort of passengers and many more..
So according to me if you remove the suspension system, then you feel like in bull-cart in Audi, Mercedes, BMW type luxurious cars . The only diffrence is speed.
So the scope of Suspension System is Too Bright !!!
This is Mechanical project report on Fabrication of an Active Air Suspension System. Air ride suspension
carries the load on each axle with a pressurized air bag just as a high pressure balloon. This system provides
the smoothest and most shock free ride of any of the known vehicle suspension system. An air suspension
includes a multiple air spring assemblies that each includes a piston airbag and a primary airbag mounted over
the piston airbag. The main and piston air bags each have a variable volume that is controlled independently
of the other for active suspension control.
The Nissan Motor Company, Ltd. (Japanese: 日産自動車株式会社, Hepburn: Nissan Jidōsha kabushiki gaisha), trading as the Nissan Motor Corporation and often shortened to Nissan,[a] is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer headquartered in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. 2. Index:-
1. Pre-safe brake system.
2. Active Lane Keeping Assist.
3. Anti-lock Braking System.
4. Electronic stability control.
5. Active Body Control.
6. Night vision Assist.
3. Pre-safe brake system:-
1. Also known as Pre-crash System or Forward Collision Warning System.
2. This is an automobile safety system designed to reduce the severity of an
accident.
3. The system uses radar or sometimes laser and camera sensors to detect an
imminent crash.
4. Once the detection is done, these systems either provide a warning to the
driver or take action autonomously by braking without any driver input.
4.
5. Active Lane Keeping Assist:-
1. Active Lane Keeping Assist is a system which monitors the area in front of your
vehicle by means of a camera at the top of the windscreen.
2. Active Lane Keeping Assist detects lane markings on the road and warns you
before you leave your lane unintentionally.
3. If you do not react to the warning, a lane-correcting application of the brakes
can bring the vehicle back into the original lane.
6.
7. Anti-lock Braking System:-
1. The ABS is a four-wheel system that prevents wheel lock-up by automatically
calculating the brake pressure during an emergency stop.
2. By preventing the wheels from locking, it enables the driver to maintain
steering control and to stop in the shortest possible distance.
3. The anti-lock brake system consists of the following components:-
I. Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).
II. Anti-lock brake control module.
III. Front anti-lock brake sensors / rear anti-lock brake sensors.
8.
9. Electronic stability control:-
1. Also known as Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
2. ESC is a computerized technology that improves the vehicle's stability by
detecting and reducing loss of skidding.
3. When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the
brakes to help "steer" the vehicle.
4. ESC systems also reduce engine power until control is regained.
10.
11. Active Body Control:-
1. Also known as magic body control system.
2. In ABC system, a computer detects body movement from sensors located
throughout the vehicle, and controls the action of the active suspension with the
use of hydraulic servomechanisms.
3. Total 13 sensors present over the body of car, continuously monitor body movement
and vehicle level and provides the ABC controller with new data in every ten
milliseconds.
4. The system also incorporates height adjustable suspension, between the speeds of
60–160 km/h for better aerodynamics, fuel consumption, and handling of vehicle.
12.
13. Night Vision Assist:-
1. An Night Vision Assist system is a system to increase a driver's perception of seeing
distance in darkness or poor weather beyond the reach of the vehicle's headlights.
2. System use an infrared light source built into the car to illuminate the road ahead
with infrared rays which are invisible to humans.
3. These infrared rays are used to displays a greyscale image in the display.
4. This enables the driver to see any obstacles in good time.
5. If pedestrians is recognized by the system, it highlights it in the Night View Assist
display.
